Part visual novel, part rhythm game, part interactive animated movie, Goodbye Volcano High taps into the sacred relationship between music and coming-of-age in ways that would be impossible in any other media format.

I can barely find the words to describe the emotional experience that is Goodbye Volcano High. While there are a few sound blips, the music, voice acting, and story were phenomenal, and these teenage dinosaurs were truly relatable.

Goodbye Volcano High is a charming visual novel packed full of great ideas, with a really interesting way of handling narrative choice.

Goodbye Volcano High is a fun, nerdy, queer narrative adventure that focuses on the last days of high school, and possibly, the last days on earth, for a group of quirky teenagers. Its narrative is full of heart and players will fall in love with its concept and characters. Some gameplay elements can be a bit hit and miss, though overall, you’ll likely fall in love with the snappy dialogue and beautiful, wholesome relationship between these dino teens.

As a cathartic climactic performance ensures Worm Drama get to say farewell to Volcano High on their own terms, the eruption of emotion is likely to be reflected on your side of the screen, too. [Issue#389, p.119]

Goodbye Volcano High manages to somehow balance its lighter, colorful approach to the drama at its center with the innate knowledge of how meaningless the characters’ problems are.

This is definitely a game to check out if you've ever wondered what it would be like to cross anthropomorphic dinosaurs with that of a Netflix high school drama TV series.

Goodbye Volcano High is a heartfelt coming-of-age drama about a group of teen dinosaurs confronted with an uncertain future. Dreamy pop ballads and an absorbing dialogue system offer a gateway into an introspective story about being young, queer, and chasing your dreams in the face of impending disaster.

Goodbye Volcano High is rough and uneven, but it still contains some of the best individual moments I’ve had with a game all year.

At its best, Fang and their friends' journey is affecting and thought-provoking, and while their time threatens to be cruelly cut short, the time we spent at Volcano High was mostly well-spent.

Goodbye Volcano High is a cute looking game about modern western teenagers with some fun characters and memorable indie music.

For a game about dinosaurs and the end of the world, Goodbye Volcano High’s coming of age tale ironically plays things far too safe. Those looking for a comfort tale akin to an anime will enjoy its trappings, but those who have already graduated have no doubt seen what this title has to offer.

Goodbye Volcano High hits a few promising notes, put intended, with its good musical numbers, decent dialogue and nice art. However, notable issues and inconsistencies with the main story plus a few minor technical quirks keep this fantasy tale from reaching its full potential.

Art: I found all the concepts and colors used very beautiful in addition to the well-structured scenarios.

Music: Likewise, the music for my taste has a good rhythm and is soft/relaxing.

Characters: The truth is that the contribution of the characters in relation to their personality and behaviors got a little out of hand

Gameplay: A lot of dialogue as in TWD or AU and they only passed 5(6?) Music scenes, but when they passed they were long enough to entertain.

History: I liked it in general, but if there was a little filler in the dialogues that was a little unnecessary in addition to leaving the end a little to the imagination for not showing the collision of the asteroid itself.

Ending: It was good only that there were some points that became a little ugly both of the ending itself and of the characters and frames used, but it was a good ending

    Conclusion
In itself the game is well developed since to be a game that has just come out it does not have as many errors or bugs as others that in the future they will surely fix, just like this cool that it is a one shot type for not having dlc or any downloadable content and not dealing with the issue of transgender, lesbian, gay, etc. as we all thought they were going to exaggerate it. Recommendation: don't play Snoot Game first, if you want play Goodbye Volcano High

Best story in a video game ever. Best of the genre.

Goodbye Volcano High is a cinematic story game I have been eagerly waiting to release for nearly a year. Having now played the game through beginning to end twice, the wait was worth it.

The memorable soundtrack and music mini-games help to keep the story tight. Fang's main passions in life are their musical career and their friends, and sometimes they have to decide. I immediately connected with Fang and empathised with their struggles.

The game takes about 6.5 hours to complete, but has definite replay value. There is new content to be discovered on the second, and even the third play, if you make different choices along the way.

Goodbye Volcano High is a fantastic game. There have been, and there will continue to be, comparisons drawn between this game and Night in the Woods. In a world of mediocre furry-themed visual novels, Goodbye Volcano High has unseated NITW as the finest ever made. It's earned a permanent place in my heart.
