I think the bad comments come from people got stuck in mid game.
The game are really good, specially the ost, i recommend this to those gamers who like the rogue-likes and difficult games.

This is a really under-appreciated gem it has a good story with funny dialogue as well as instead of it being 90% luck like most games of this genre it is only 10% luck. Really fun recommend it and at 10 dollars it really makes up for it.

This game is mediocre at best. I got bored of it's inane attempts at comedy and even more bland combat system. This genre is way too over populated with games that were not worth the time to produce...

Going Under benefits from unique, vibrant visuals and fairly engaging gameplay. It comes up very short in the areas of needlessly wordy character dialogue that add nothing to the game and very, very unrewarding grinding. Too little time was spent developing the primary gameplay to sustain its necessary playtime, and too much hope was put into the bland, stock dialogue to carry the player through gameplay deadzones (which are too common and last too long). Oh, and there are plenty of gamecrashing bugs that like to come out to play right when you get to a boss. Expand

It's an unpretentious game, it's fun to play, the story is good and kinda funny, the characters are good and there's some well placed critics about the working environment, with some interesting dungeons.

One thing is that you'll have to headbutt your way through them, which becomes boring and/or frustrating, and it's not because "lack of skill", but due to random stuff on your rooms

My husband and I have been having a lot of fun talking turns on this game. He's played roguelight games before and Ive never really been able to get into them but this was equally fun for the both of us! It has so many little jokes and fun things to discover. The style, color, and music are all a lot of fun and it stays fresh even in replays.

A fantastic but simple rouge-like. Beautiful art style that parodies the style used in ads from major tech corporations such as Facebook.

Combat is simple but fun and the game is easy enough for people who are new to rouge-likes to finish. There is still a good amount of content and a gauntlet mode that offers a challenge to those who want it. Story is great and writing is really funny

Story is great and writing is really funny and filled with jokes of different type of tech companies such as dating app developers and crypto. As well getting at the cut throat nature of working at these companies. It’s fantastic indie game I highly recommend to anyone.

Going under manages to engage the player with its light-hearted and satiric plot complemented by a varied and never too trivial gameplay, an underrated must play for roguelike fans.

A bright colorful package that has managed to - happily - disrupt our time with the other big Roguelikes of the minute. Maybe all you really need is a few great ideas. [Issue#352, p.120]

If you are tired of the roguelike or have been looking for a perfect one to start with - you could try with the Going Under. A quirky, fast paced, humorous dungeon crawler, painted in neon baby colors that you didn't even know your TV could support. So be your friend and lower the color intensity, for you will most probably spend some hours with this one. Pretty addictive.

Going Under is a fun dungeon crawler that parodies capitalism and the culture surrounding it. While a shorter experience, the game is given a solid level of replayability thanks to the procedural generation and wide variety of weapons. Though the combat feels like it’s lacking depth at times, it’s still fun to sling office equipment around at foes. Going Under is a great offering from the team at Aggro Crab and Team17.
