Sure, it's fairly hideous in comparison to most of the multitude of games released recently, the narrative is weak and it has some of most cringe-worthy sound I've ever encountered, but it poses a solid, structured set of challenging puzzles that are light enough as to not timelessly absorb the player, but engaging enough to keep you coming back.
  2. Not giving a damn about sponsors and marketing, Pierre Gilhodes made Gobliiins 4 almost single-handedly. A classy, but ill-advised deed, because there was no one to tell him that horrible-looking 3D scares people even faster than pixelized sprites. That autosave-only policy is an insult to PC gamers. That even a puzzle game should have a coherent story.
  3. The series continues after 15 years and it's true to it's predecessors. That's good and bad at the same time. It's a colorful slapstick adventure, but today a game like this needs a real story, characters and some more functions. But it's still very funny and original.
  4. Gobliiins 4 is a nice puzzle adventure that can't catch up to its predecessors because of a weak story and lack of humor, but can entertain for a few hours.
  5. The granddaddy of point 'n' clicker Zack & Wiki makes a surprising and largely successful return.

Sequel to the famous trilogy changed into a kid’s entertainment game with uncomplicated logical puzzles. The sound and graphics departments should be fired anyways. [May 2009]
