Dec 13, 2022The crazy goat simulation, which was more of an April Fool's joke, caught on very well and the second part, or the third, is already here. It offers unfettered fun, but also bugs.

Nov 28, 2022Given the right context, Goat Simulator 3's uniquely humorous, wonderfully broken world is a delightful playground. Though the single-player experience can be lackluster, bordering on boring, the multiplayer party potential is great. The world and mechanics are set up so the slightest provocation can prompt a world unraveling with hilarious results. Despite its flaws, Goat Simulator 3 deserves its day in the sun as the go-to party game.

Nov 21, 2022There are funnier games out there, from the refined comedic diction of “Untitled Goose Game” to the sardonic humor of “Portal.” But it’s the thrill of discovering ludicrous scenes, and the delight of digging into every crook and cranny in search of more absurd secrets to unearth, that elevates “Goat Simulator 3” above the one-note joke of the original game. Take a long walk along a quiet street, or hitch a ride on a moving van toward the next city. Perhaps you’ll spot the sigil of Baphomet, or meet a clandestine group of occult worshipers, hidden behind the dense foliage of bushes and low-hanging trees. Drag a scarecrow into a satanic circle or two, and see what unfolds; it’s usually an unexpected treat.

Nov 16, 2022Unexpectedly lovingly designed sandbox full of chaos and destruction, fun gadgets, ridiculous gags and Easter eggs.
-
Nov 16, 2022Despite issues with the game's engine, Goat Simulator 3 is going to go down as a guilty pleasure. It's relaxing in all the ways the original game was and a fun reminder that gaming doesn't always have to take itself so seriously.
-
Dec 5, 2022Outside of its aforementioned snarky references and the silly physics system, there isn't a lot holding up this sequel. Everything seen here just makes the player want to go back to the original game instead.
-
Dec 21, 2022Goat Simulator 3 is a more extensive and technically polished but also less charming version of its predecessor. It’s perfect for co-op or brief relaxation, so the ideal course of action would be to buy it discounted and play it in short sessions.
-
Nov 16, 2022Goat Simulator 3 neither excels at gif-able joke physics nor at being a structured singleplayer platformer.

Jan 20, 2023Goat Simulator 3 is fun and it looks like it was designed to be streamed.

Nov 16, 2022A catalogue of mini-objectives and quests gives the otherwise aimless sandbox a bit of a backbone too, and even though tasks can be broadly categorised into moving things from one place to another, or collecting stuff, or licking things, there’s variety and creativity to be found in each. Goat Simulator 3 has limited appeal baked right into it, but it’s unfair to dismiss the game as purely YouTube-baiting viral silliness. Underneath all of the goat nonsense and fart noises, there’s an intelligently constructed toy chest. Underneath that? More nonsense and fart noises.
