The crazy goat simulation, which was more of an April Fool's joke, caught on very well and the second part, or the third, is already here. It offers unfettered fun, but also bugs.

Given the right context, Goat Simulator 3's uniquely humorous, wonderfully broken world is a delightful playground. Though the single-player experience can be lackluster, bordering on boring, the multiplayer party potential is great. The world and mechanics are set up so the slightest provocation can prompt a world unraveling with hilarious results. Despite its flaws, Goat Simulator 3 deserves its day in the sun as the go-to party game.
  3. There are funnier games out there, from the refined comedic diction of “Untitled Goose Game” to the sardonic humor of “Portal.” But it’s the thrill of discovering ludicrous scenes, and the delight of digging into every crook and cranny in search of more absurd secrets to unearth, that elevates “Goat Simulator 3” above the one-note joke of the original game. Take a long walk along a quiet street, or hitch a ride on a moving van toward the next city. Perhaps you’ll spot the sigil of Baphomet, or meet a clandestine group of occult worshipers, hidden behind the dense foliage of bushes and low-hanging trees. Drag a scarecrow into a satanic circle or two, and see what unfolds; it’s usually an unexpected treat.

Unexpectedly lovingly designed sandbox full of chaos and destruction, fun gadgets, ridiculous gags and Easter eggs.

Despite issues with the game's engine, Goat Simulator 3 is going to go down as a guilty pleasure. It's relaxing in all the ways the original game was and a fun reminder that gaming doesn't always have to take itself so seriously.

Outside of its aforementioned snarky references and the silly physics system, there isn't a lot holding up this sequel. Everything seen here just makes the player want to go back to the original game instead.

Goat Simulator 3 is a more extensive and technically polished but also less charming version of its predecessor. It’s perfect for co-op or brief relaxation, so the ideal course of action would be to buy it discounted and play it in short sessions.

Goat Simulator 3 neither excels at gif-able joke physics nor at being a structured singleplayer platformer.

Goat Simulator 3 is fun and it looks like it was designed to be streamed.
  2. A catalogue of mini-objectives and quests gives the otherwise aimless sandbox a bit of a backbone too, and even though tasks can be broadly categorised into moving things from one place to another, or collecting stuff, or licking things, there’s variety and creativity to be found in each. Goat Simulator 3 has limited appeal baked right into it, but it’s unfair to dismiss the game as purely YouTube-baiting viral silliness. Underneath all of the goat nonsense and fart noises, there’s an intelligently constructed toy chest. Underneath that? More nonsense and fart noises.

I liked the original Goat Simulator. It was dumb fun, cool references, but also got old pretty quickly, was full of glitches, performance wasn't great either.
Goat Simulator 3 improved on every area. it runs better than the predecessor, it's less glitchy (though it still has some physics related issues), and most importantly, it's much more fun in long term. The original game kinda relied of it's jankiness, bad physics, this game actually has lots of content, a nice, relatively big open world, lots of exploration, silly stuffs, quests, progression, actual goals.
They fixed the "gets boring quickly" issues, the goat customization is fun and some of the stuffs you can unlock are actually useful, gives you abilities. NPCs react to your wrong doing, some actually vengefully kick your butt. You can now drive cars, ride bikes (good luck with that!), unlock stuffs in your wonderful Goat Castle. The same silliness from the first games presents, but they made it even better. The quests are silly, some of them are annoying and boring, most of them are interesting and fun and you can do whatever you want if you don't wanna mess with a specific quest, you won't lose progress, you don't need to abort it.

Controls are perfect, responsive, you goat can now wall run, climb, do the Mario 64 style multi-jump, where your 3rd jump is extra high. You can get temporary powers too.

Sound design is decent, music is similar to the original game. It does its job

Visuals! Well, it's pretty good! The map is large with nice view distance. Yes, there is pop-in many times, but not that distracting. Performance is surprisingly better than the previous game while it's much bigger in every aspect. Barely any stutters, stable framerates even on my old RX 570. I can run it on highest settings at 1080p with mostly 60 fps.

As silly and dumb the game is, Coffee Stained North definitely spent a lot of time and talent on this one, it's better than the first game in every aspect. Since it's more polished (not perfect!) than the original, I can't wait to see DLCs with different themes. Waste of Space was fun for the first game even if it was a broken mess, something like that (with better performance and stability) would be a nice addition in the future.

If you like Goat Simulator 1, you'll love this game.
