Really bad. Random button pusher to see what happens. Maybe I'm not the intended audience, but I just don't get it and see nothing engaging whatsoever in my short amount of time spent on this. I don't think I've ever rated something a 1, but yeah, I got nothing out of this.

If you enjoy unskippable and boring cutscenes, bursting your eardrums because the game insists on having a jumpy volume (despite noise playing as a key clue for some puzzles), and random clicking to find the puzzle before you actually get to solve anything, then this game is perfect for you. If not, you'd be better off picking up a puzzle game that has good puzzles and a good story. Overall a bad game with a lot of effort put into it. If you like puzzles, dont play this game as it doesnt provide any kind of meaningful story, nor develops any skills for its tasks. Its also really trippy and made to visually stand out. I cant say it works either way.

Neither really a game, nor an experience, GNOG is like a child's quest for discovery, and incorporates the wonder and charm you would expect from such an offering all through simplistic, almost minimalistic, design. It's so very fleeting, taking a mere hour to complete, but it's something that will stick with you for its terrific presentation and concept.

GNOG is something of a mechanical puzzle game in that you solve the puzzles by manipulating various switches, knobs, sliders, and buttons, but the overall experience goes far beyond that. With a trippy art style reminiscent of the LSD-enhanced art of the 1960's and a unique musical sound, GNOG is a game that doesn't take itself too seriously and encourages you to just play with it, and maybe even solve a puzzle now and then.
