    Good game, story is pretty good and combat is nice with different elemental reactions. Characters are good even though they are always half-naked and the world has life. Its like Breath of the Wild. But this game is a gacha game, making it not as good. The game is incredibly grindy with having to upgrade your characters with artifacts and level up material. But resin is not only used for artifact farming, its also used for EVERY SINGLE THING TO UPGRADE YOUR CHARACTER. The game also has side quests which are very boring as they can be ridiciously hard and/or have lots of pointless dialogue which you can skip through easily as none of it matters. This game also has no replayablity has it is so hard to get back into. I've spent so many hours on this game that I regret I've spent. smh.… Expand

    I lost about a year at the game simply because I had a lot of free time. If you don’t have a lot of free time, it’s better not to play. The gameplay is nothing like a gameplay, the combat mechanics are outstanding, you are more motivated to explore the world by freebies than by the desire to see something new.
    The game is one big clicker. The only reason for the game afloat is regular events (which do not represent anything of themselves) that give you primo gems. The donation in the game is really very insignificant and you can knock out anything if you take a lot of attention to the game. The problem is that for a year now, there is nothing to do in the game. There is such a place in the game as an abyss, which periodically updates the 9-12 floors on which you can play, but until you become strong enough you will not pass them, and this, like a year ago and now, is the only indicator of your progress in the game. If you go through the abyss once, then you go through the game. New characters simply have nowhere to use, you can, of course, replace them playing the abyss over and over again with different characters, but the abyss is nothing more than just another source of primo gems for the player, there is nothing interesting in it, it is just another source of freebies, and so on almost a year has passed, and no new activities have appeared in the game.
    The impudence of the developers prompted me to write this review.     The world of this game is amazing. Characters, music, lore - each of these things are at least on a "good" level.

    But the game itself becomes very boring with time, I feel like I've wasted too much time completing identical side-quests and grinding materials so I can PLAY THE GAME.

    Very disappointing.

Квесты в игре ужасные, Скучные, не интересные, однообразные. Они все построенные по шаблону "собрать какой-либо ресурс, убить кучку монстров, побегать туда-сюда", максимум вам попадётся несложная загадка. Игрок никак не взаимодействует с миром, в игре практически нету закрытых локаций, кроме подземелий. И продолжать можно ещё долго Чего только стоит тот факт, то что вы не можете пробежать даже main-квест без фарма и прокачки ранга приключений. Это делает игру ужасно затянутой, скучной и однообразной.
    Прокачка в игре бессмысленная, ибо у её нет конца. Только вы прокачали персонажа, как ту же уровень мира повышается, и вам приходиться качать персонажей снова. Это замкнутый круг. Если всё вышеперечисленное для вас критично, если игра не приносит вам ничего кроме скуки от бесконечного фарма, то пожалуйста - перестаньте в неё играть. Это пустая трата времени.

    The world graphics are a horrible rip-off of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, the climbing and swimming mechanics also being the same. Not enough people realize this is a cheap beg for cash. Characters are boring, most are there for fan service. A terrible game that you should DEFINITELY not play.

    Сначала с плюсов:

    Боёвка отличная и эффектная, все внимации отлично проработаны. спустя огромное количество времени она не надоедает, а даже становится разнообразнее, благодаря новым персонажам.

    Открытый мир замечателен, он очень разнообразный. Ландшафты Мондштада и Ли Юе отлично подходят под их стихии - "Ветер" и "Земля".
    Он не самый большой, но он завершён только на 20%.

    Сам лор(не сюжет) может быть многим интересен

    Теперь про минусы:

    Самое простое - гринд. Гринд в играх это не плохо, но в геншине он ограничен так называемой "смолой", которая тратится на открытие сундуков с наградой. Артефактами, материалами прокачки перонажей и оружия, а так же еженедельными боссами.
    Всё это - банальная попытка заставить игрока заходить ежедневно, под угрозой упущенной выгоды.

    Донат. Он тут решает. Люди не вложившие ни копейки не смогут получить более сильных персонажей(Да, все персонажи хороши, но одни слабее других, и на одних нужно меньше гриндить), да даже 4х нужно будет долго выбивать(Сожелею всем у кого нет C1 Беннета). О хорошем оружии они могут даже не мечтать, крафтовые да черногорские. Даже банальный Ржавый лук будет праздником.
    А донатерам подкуточка :)
    Эксклюзивные 5* персы, которые f2p могут получить только каждый второй-третий баннер.
    А если понадобился и Торталия, и сразу же Чжун Ли после него, то иди донать.
    Вот просто не советую донатить вообще в эту игру, (Да я батл пасс и карточку только покупаю, ничего страшного - очень знакомая мне фраза, да и люди у которых уже из-за этого зависимось от этой гачи)

    Ивенты ну очень скучные. Как бы разрабы не пытались, но они всё ещё интересны только наградой. Да и при том что сами эвенты - набор заданий, который поэтапно разблокируется через промежутки времени(что я говорил про упущенную выгоду?).
    Дополнительные ивенты - та же рутина, но меньше.

    Сюжет не впечатляет, есть пару моментов, по типу Двалина и Архонта вихрей что очень эффектны, но их мало. В основном сюжет умеренно спокоен и однотипен.

    Недостаток контента. На 50м ранге тебе нужно неделями гриндить на прокачку персонажей и крутки, ждя этого короткого изобилия в виде ивентов и новых обновлений, которые на этот момент игры интересны только наградой.

    Комьюнити. Оно не портит игру, но я просто не советую в него вступать.

    По итогу имеем человека, зашедшего в "среншин" "по рофлу", увидевшего там хороший открытый мир, интересную боёвку, не самые скучные квесты и милых тяночек. А через пол года он уже думает что гринд и донат это весело, и игра замечательная.    … Expand

    But that's just on the surface: let's talk about some mechanics that are also not fun to deal with.

    Resin. The generic energy system that locks meaningful rewards behind a gate. In a 3d open world game.
    Might not sound that bad right? Well, let's just say any "meaningful" grind is locked behind this resin mechanic.
    Cool weekly boss fights? Considerable amounts of resin required.
    Currency used for upgrades? Considerable amounts of resin required.
    EXP for your characters? Considerable amounts of resin required.

    Combat. Combat becomes dull when you realize that most of your team will only be used to apply elemental statuses for combos (in the game's case they're elemental reactions).
    Use crowd control, group up enemies, apply 2 elements. Then boom. You win. Congrats.
    Bet you feel really proud of yourself.

    The Loot: Any actually useful loot will be obtained from the dungeons (that cost resin to enter), the bosses (that cost resin to claim the rewards you get for beating them), and the gacha (that costs the good ol' premium currency that is annoying to grind, or an obscene amount of money).
    Going around the world, opening chests, that's not gonna do as much as you'd hope in the end.

    That's not all but you get the point.

    I can't be arsed to keep going. There's so much I could complain about that I can't be arsed to write it all down.

    Though, despite that, I'm rating it fairly high considering how badly I think of the game?
    Well that's because early game felt great.. It was fun and not very repetitive.
    If you're gonna play this game for a few weeks and then stop permanently then the game's worth an 7-8. Maybe a 9 if you're into thirsting over virtual women, most of which look like like they belong in the 8-16 age group. Buuut it's not my job to judge.

    TL;DR
    Promising game when you start, fun for a few weeks at most, gets progressively more boring and grindy, the grind is restricted via an energy system, and rng will **** you over.    … Expand

    Poor game mechanics, way too grindy, spending money is so inefficient. Plus, the adverts I get on youtube were so stupid, like "I want to marry you!!111!". Unless you're just here to jump on the bandwagon or are really into scantily clad anime girls, this is really not a good game.

    I started playing 2 days ago because I heard there will be an anniversary event with free ingame items, so this would be the best time to start playing. Was extremely disappointed to see that the company ignores their player base and provides minimal anniversary rewards compared to other games in its category.

    Could've given us a cute in-game pet like the seelie you had in the Lost Riches event. An anniversary namecard. A skin for the traveler. Especially given the boring event we now get to grind through for rewards I wouldn't waste my time on if I had any other option.

    Could have added dungeons you can keep farming, not locked behind resin for chances of great artifacts, weapons, or special rewards as endgame content for players with nothing more to do to tide people over until the system is fixed. Could have done a whole lot differently. This post is the same as the bazillion others calling you out, but I guess I'm just that angry. Have been. It's such a small thing, really, but it's the lack of consideration I think that compels me to keep venting.

    The "trying to milk your fanbase" for promotional material when you could have just paid content creators outright. You know, like actual commissions. THEN give them a sizable bonus in-game. Because you will be using that work for a long, long time, in your ads, in your videos...

    Raffles should have been open to everyone as a SIDE EVENT, without people having to pour hours and hours into work just for a chance at getting something. Companies have raffles all the time. How much you want to bet all that stuff you are offering was "free" from the companies as a congratulatory bit? As a way of advertising for them?

    Kokomi is laughable. A $300 broken, underwhelming five star you should have realized needed work during testing. You could have simply stated you needed more time to make sure she was ready for release, and rerun a banner everyone has been begging for, especially for characters that haven't had a chance to come back. Oh but thanks for showcasing fanwork on streams and that concert I couldn't attend and don't really want to watch after all this.

    But yeah. I hope people collectively boycott you, especially after you took away signature editing and tried to do damage control instead of just fixing your mistakes or addressing the community outright. Your silence made it worse.    … Expand

    I cannot tolerate the shills who wants to think this P2W and censorship ridden, and Toddler like barebone crap as equal to Better western games. At least Japan has suffered PS360WiiU, but risen again using their strong points after being "encouraged" by Phil fish in mid-2010.

    There is no redemingquality in this game, it was only made for money, more than EA. It still amazes me how this can exist and how people enjoy it, and the gatcha included is already terrible to include, and with the rarety its ridiculous, the oly point is for the world and the story, for me I would like to see a genshin anime not a game.

    I literally can not even start! When I try to create an account, it wan'ts a code but they somehow screwed up the textfield and all I can enter in, are numbers from 1 to 0 and the letter e. But the problem is, they ask for UGT6 for example, which I can not type **** this game I guess?
    How someone fails on programming something like this is beyond me....

    I really really like this game. Exploring like in Zelda Breath of the wild, and comparing to other RPG a very nice combat system. And also a nice / interesting Story.

    BUT: All Talkes and charackters are so annoying. And you cant skip them. thats the worst part of the game, cause you cant fight and explore without having to talk to everyone for hours. 95% of my playtime is this forced    I really really like this game. Exploring like in Zelda Breath of the wild, and comparing to other RPG a very nice combat system. And also a nice / interesting Story.

    The story of this game sporadic. Player have to wait for long time just do some outside event which do not relative to the main story. Which player feel boring because all they have to do is not follow the story and see what happen to Aether or Lumie in the way they find each other.     Rather than a typical online game, Genshin Impact resembles a traditional single-player jRPG with a real-time combat. For a free-to-play title it is very impressive, but turns out to be pretty derivative and quickly slumps into monotony. [13/2020, p.52]

    Overall, in spite of things that should bring Genshin Impact down, the game is so much fun to play that the negatives are ultimately minor gripes. [...] The gameplay is smooth and simplistic, and it works great on all platforms - though I’m still not sure why the PlayStation version can’t be linked to a Mihoyo account so I could play on my phone when I’m not at home (PS Vita version please??) but it’s a small gripe to an otherwise terrific game.
