    Although brief, Galacide executes its idea well. Unless you're playing at the higher difficulty levels, the puzzles and shooting don't conflict, and the pacing of each element is done well.

    The two gameplay styles blend together very well, taking the best mechanics of both shooters and match-four puzzle games and combining them into one solid title.

    Galacide comes from an interesting idea but it’s penalized by the lack of a strong identity and by an insufficient balance between the two genres that it wants to join.

    A curious mix between Tetris and R-Type, Galacide seems to bring fresh ideas with old ideas, but its catchiness quickly disappears because of a flat repetitiveness.
