Unique gameplay and ideas. Does them very well.

Game is a bit old, which can be seen in graphics and other stuff.

Game i great fun if you like real-time strategy games involved in the war.

Special and unique game. Must play if interested!

The user interface on this one was way too complex. They gave up on the simplicity and usability from the first one. I haven't bothered to play past the first mission because the interface won't do what I want and end up getting myself killed everytime. Why bother? I wouldn't recommend this game to anyone.

What a step down from the original. The new interface was horrible, and obviously made for a console, not a PC. The dialog was annoying and the plot was... well, it wasn't. Very sad as I loved the original.

Nice graphics, but flickering textures up to complete losses of sight in some situations are bad.

Full Spectrum Warrior: ten Hammers is one of my favorite games of all time. I played it on Xbox back in the day and loved it so when I had some spare cash and wanted something to play I picked up a copy off Steam for cheap. I fully recommend against playing this game on PC. On Xbox the game is well optimized and seemingly more polished. A reminder from the past that PC ports were usually just hacked together and thought of as second rate. On the PC there will be glitched textures and flickering glitchy text that sputters in and out which makes the tutorial next to impossible since the PC controls are so hard. You'll find your self holding down a combination of mouse buttons to confusingly navigate your squad. Buttons on the keyboard are seemingly randomly assigned to different tasks regardless of how easy they are to use. I tried using and Xbox One controller since I originally played this on Xbox and thought it'd be easier, however instead of using the Xbox controls they again seem to randomly assign buttons and of course it doesn't support Xbox 360/Xbox One controls so it just things each button is a number so I hope you have those memorized. Overall, the game is amazing but play it on original Xbox (or PS2, I've heard good things there) hardware. Expand

Начинается всё с ролика, который выглядит ужасно мультяшно, а потом идёт геймплей, который УЖАСНО скучный. Let’s start with the game is just clunky, especially compared with the more refined strategy of the original Spectrum Warrior. From the walls and floors in some levels disappearing right in front of you, to killing yourself, time and time again with grenades and m203s, to the friendly AI just standing there as an enemy charges their positions to just shoot them in the face because the squad AI is too slow to react (as the enemy AI will cheat by just running by your squad and shooting them in the back before you can even shuffle your squad to turn around or even react on their own to defend themselves, which they did do in the first one??).

It’s a pretty bad state compared to how the first Full Spectrum kept its strategy a bit more straightforward which made it work. Where in the first game the grenades go where they show you they're going to go with the marker this game it may or may not, also when you want to use the 203 grenade launcher in the first one the grenadier would run to a clear firing line fire then get back into cover. In this game you have to move him yourself and then make sure you aimed it just right… or you will just end up killing yourself and probably, your whole team.

It’s the same when you want to use suppressing fire to get another squad across the street without being dropped, the team that suppresses ends up going though 80 percent of the Whole Teams ammo supply in about 1 auto rifleman’s Mag, which is insane as you have to micro manage squads ammo supply’s (of which you will spend half of the game doing along with running your squads back to resupply which is tedious even in a real time strategy).

So.. Pros – It’s a modern warfare strategy game which is a rare thing to get a fix of, and when the squads are not killing themselves it feels like you got something accomplished and you really did just accomplish something, as the AI will fight you all the way.

Cons- The maps are buggy and there was on many maps where textures and walls jump and disappear along with some units, and worst of all is the AI which other reviews have mentioned and they're not joking, the AI is slow to react to all orders (like two to three seconds) and you will find yourself getting more and more frustrated with every stupid death… or even better self-kill!

It’s on Live, though, that Ten Hammers truly explodes into life, the absolute requirement for tactics creating jumpy matches that outgun anything so far on Xbox or its baby brother. [Apr 2006, p.92]

The Full Spectrum Warrior series has given inspiration to "Brothers in Arms" and 360's "Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter", but is still lacking some of its own. [Apr 2006, p.116]

The multiple teams, added tanks, verticality, precision fire, the stepped-up AI, and the much-needed multiplayer modes are all smart, value-added features. The game doesn't, however, advance much once you get going.
