Jan 13, 2011In the end, Front Mission Evolved took the concept of third-person mech combat and took all the fun out of it. It is hard to not compare it to other games like it because the other ones got the core of it right. If Square Enix decides to take the series back to being a tactical RPG, I wouldn't blame them.

Oct 28, 2010Front Mission Evolved is at its core an uninspired third-person mech fighter that throws out the tenets of the series, a move that may turn off long time players. Mech fans will find it lukewarm at best and the rest of us are left to wonder just who the game will appeal to.
-
Oct 22, 2010The mech combat is fast paced and brutal, but once that veneer wears off you find that under the hood is a slap shod mix of broken balance, goofy game mechanics, and an abject lack of the tactical gameplay for which the franchise is known.
