    Yesterday I begin to play it again (3rd time), and no changes. Awesome 5 years after.

    Tight controls, fantastic AI, good Hollywood style story (yeah, it's cheesy at times, but if you liked The Rock and Independence Day style bravado you'll feel right at home) and a healthy challenge combine to form one of the true surprise hits of any generation of gaming. I was amazed when the enemies provided cover fire for their teammates that were moving into flank position and howTight controls, fantastic AI, good Hollywood style story (yeah, it's cheesy at times, but if you liked The Rock and Independence Day style bravado you'll feel right at home) and a healthy challenge combine to form one of the true surprise hits of any generation of gaming. I was amazed when the enemies provided cover fire for their teammates that were moving into flank position and how smoothly my own teammates took cover and engaged appropriately with a very simple command scheme. Granted there aren't a wealth of guns or character progression/customization elements, but the true beauty of this game derives from the simplistic-yet-demanding strategy required in order to complete the games objectives. Really wish they'd do a proper sequel or at least provide this title via XBLA/PSN for those with now incompatible PCs.… Expand

    I miss this game so much, my PS2 is ruined and i have a Xbox 360 now. If they made this game for Xbox Arcade i would buy it again in a split second. It might not be amazing to control a hand full of AI people now but when the game came out it was amazing. I never had a problem with this game and i loved playing it in multiplayer. This is a must try game if your not afraid of an old I miss this game so much, my PS2 is ruined and i have a Xbox 360 now.     I'm not sure this game holds up too well anymore. Maybe part of my problem was playing it out after lots of Mass Effect 3, thus having expectations about companions' behavior as well as crisp gun control.

    Graphics are very nice and atmospheric, those hold up quite well after 9 years, technological advances aside. I did ultimately enjoy the level design, back-and-forth maps, and fun    I'm not sure this game holds up too well anymore. Maybe part of my problem was playing it out after lots of Mass Effect 3, thus having expectations about companions' behavior as well as crisp gun control.

    I did ultimately enjoy the level design, back-and-forth maps, and fun comic booky story, despite its forceful cheesiness.

    But I don't know that post-2011 gamers will get much out of the gameplay. I grew impatient and frustrated (perhaps I should've just played in Normal mode to begin with) and rather than give up completely, chose to barrel my way through the content in god mode so i could at least see the neat little story and levels.

    I'd only recommend it to nostalgic FPS fans.    … Expand

    I'm actually an EA hater, but a big fan of the Hitman series, and IO didn't disappoint me at all with Freedom Fighters. It has the best AI I've ever seen in any game (YES, including HL, Halo and Raven Shield), and you can perfectly tell that is not scripted at all, you can do anything to try to break the NPC's "script" but they adapt flawlessly to almost every I'm actually an EA hater, but a big fan of the Hitman series, and IO didn't disappoint me at all with Freedom Fighters. It has the best AI I've ever seen in any game (YES, including HL, Halo and Raven Shield), and you can perfectly tell that is not scripted at all, you can do anything to try to break the NPC's "script" but they adapt flawlessly to almost every situation. I can go pages and pages about the goodness of this game, but the only thing I'll tell is that a few graphical glitches and a few invisible walls (when you find an extreme of a level, but the mappers didn't put an object to finish it naturally) takes the point for a perfect 10.… Expand

    A fun game, the only thing that annoyed me was the plot - boring anti-socialist properganda. A key to switch back to the last weapon would have been nice too.

    OK. I only played the demo and must admit, I was not impressed at all. Stiff controls, crappy dialogues, though the graphics aren't too bad. Yeah yeah maybe I should try the full game but actually, after this demo I'm not interested! Can't wait for Half-Life 2 !!!

Controlling your fellow freedom fighters is quick and easy; it's no Raven Shield, but this is a game about rebel forces fighting a war of resistance on the fly, and the simple controls fit. Another plus are the different ways of approaching problems - you feel a Ok, so Freedom Fighters isn't going to change the world, but for £30 you get a fast, fun, third person shooter. Controlling your fellow freedom fighters is quick and easy; it's no Raven Shield, but this is a game about rebel forces fighting a war of resistance on the fly, and the simple controls fit. Another plus are the different ways of approaching problems - you feel a little less railroaded down a scripted path. Nice game.     Well i'm no EA fan, but these days some pretty kewl games r being produced by those guyz. only played da demo of this game and i gotta say i Like! isnt da best game owt there, but personally think u wont hate urself if u get this game!cheers^^

    A nice game! The gameplay is awesome, but the shoulder cam wasn't my cup of tea. The lip-synching was horrible (If you call orders in-game your mouth doesn't even move!) and the graphics aren't the best, but the constant flawlessness and wide range of weapons bump that up. All in all, a great game.

    Freedom Fighters was one of the best games of 2003. I got it without much expectation and it turned out to be an amazing game. The action flows very good and rewarding to the player and you get that good feeling of advancing while having fun, it never gets boring. A plus for the amazing soundtrack composed by Jesper Kyd.

    has good graphics and good gameplay its mechanical and gameplay but are BOTS stupid guy has a huge firefight eai the BOTS are still doing nothing to History and terrible **** the game remains good and very cool

    More than a decade-old it sure is, but Freedom Fighters does not look or feel too old at all. It's completely enjoyable even when you play it in 2016. If someone wants to catch a break from modern games and experience a classic tactical shooter, Freedom Fighters is a recommend.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Este juego hace años que no lo juego, pero tenía ganas de darle una pequeña critica como a otros juegos.
    Por lo que puedo recordar, la historia estaba super bien, de primero fuiste un fontanero, luego un rebelde, hasta llegar creo a general. La música estaba muy genial también tonos de batalla muy elevados que te llenan de adrenalina. y que decir de la jugabilidad... bueno que recuerde no estaba del todo mal.
    podías ordenar a tus soldados a que te defiendan o que se queden parados en una zona para defenderla eso estaba muy bien.    … Expand

    This game was soo good in 2003 :)
    Decent visuals back then, based on HItman engine.
    Outstanding story and charakters, which you met during the campaign.
    Hope they make some kind of remake or reboot in the future :)

    Brilliant in my top 5 games.
    The music, AI , Movement, guns and especially the fact that you can recruit soldiers to help you all of these are very good.

Никогда не забуду эту сложность с огромным количеством вражеских ботов, кучей перезапусков, а также вездусущим непониманием, что вообще делать - оно свойственно многим играм той поры. И все же было в ней что-то такое... Ладно, не буду растягивать. Бредовый сюжет, достаточно, чтобы назвать его клюквой. Потешная концовка.
