The reboot of Forza Motorsport delivers a great racing experience with more than enough content to keep you sated for a very long time. Even though it's not necessarily a reboot, Forza Motorsport improves on all its predecessors by doing even more things right, while delivering some new experiences along the way. With its highly addictive systems and refined gameplay, Forza Motorsport is a racing game that you simply can't miss.

Forza Motorsport has been gone for a long time, but it's evident that Turn 10 has used the time to reevaluate its formula and implement some striking changes that will likely ignite a new passion for simulation racing for petrolheads and bring in a swathe of new players. The inclusion of car-specific progression creates a stronger relationship between you and each car you own in your garage, with the methods of leveling each on up pushing you to hone your racing craft in the most rewarding way the series has delivered thus far. Forza Motorsport does this all without forgetting its heritage, delivering a standout simulation racing experience that looks and sounds stunning, while feeling reliably accurate and satisfying on the tarmac. It would be nice to have more locations to enjoy Forza Motorsport breadth of vehicular content on, but it would be a lie to say I didn't have a massive grin on my face during every lap that I completed.

Forza Motorsport feels like coming back home, after six years without the series it's good to be back. However, it lacks the element of evolution the name implies by dropping the numbers.

Forza Motorsport is back on Xbox and PC, and in a big way. The long wait is rewarded with a game of exceptional quality, both in terms of content and technology. A must-have for any racing fan, despite a few small details that could have been improved at launch.

Forza Motorsport is a gorgeous racing experience across each and every lap. The title excels in rewarding players during every race, and the legendary amount of available cars and tracks at launch means there's plenty to enjoy right from the starting line. The gameloop is addictive, with a more than generous layer of accessibility options to create formidable racers out of anyone. The real meat may be the multiplayer modes, but it never overshadows what is offered in the single-player career mode. Here's to hoping the live-service model works for this release, with the launch state looking like a great starting point.

Obviously, there are a couple of rougher edges in this "reboot" of the Forza Motorsport series, but there is quite a solid game to be found. The PC version seems like it could use a patch or two to bolster the performance, and the AI doesn't seem to respect that you also exist on the track. However, this is a game that absolutely delivers if you are the kind of person who finds their peace while taking a vehicle on track and trying to find its absolute limit.

Undoubtedly the new racing game benchmark on the track, but there's still plenty of room for improvement.

Forza Motorsport is another fantastic racing experience from developer Turn 10, with a ton of content and plenty of great driving as long as players don’t mind grinding or waiting around at times.

The latest Forza Motorsport, returning to authentic circuit racing after six years, has further enhanced user-friendliness, accompanied by various technological advancements. The game offers immersive gameplay that goes beyond competition, adding the joy of overcoming one's own lap times, all set against visually pleasing landscapes. However, there seems to be room for improvement in reducing the significant repetition required when customizing one's own vehicle.

With this Forza Motorsport 2023 edition, Turn 10 resets the counters and delivers a car racing game with a titanium chassis capable of carrying the license for several years. Beautiful, fluid, offering very good "simcade" driving sensations, it offers the right modes with the necessary parameters to satisfy almost everyone. Both ultra permissive (in its challenge) and restrictive (in the improvements to be unlocked), this reboot is a bit of a search. Aiming at a very wide audience thanks to its numerous options, it is nonetheless dedicated to fans of pretty cars, those who are able to go beyond its definitively austere appearance (and the absence of urban circuits) to let themselves be captivated by the joys of motorized competition, both solo and online. Nice job.

Turn 10 has displayed its technical proficiency and understanding of the sim-racing genre once more with this stellar entry into the Forza Motorsport series. It is a shame that an always-online requirement casts a shadow that looms over what is an otherwise genre-defining game.

Forza Motorsport delivers one of the best simcade experiences ever made on the track, with a glorious driving model, a great dynamic weather system, and a lovely and ever-expanding pack of tracks and cars. On the other hand, the career mode is shallow and the great UX is partially nullified by a very dull sense of progression. Still great fun, lots of content, and great multiplayer potential, but it's not the ultimate Forza experience we were hoping for.

The Forza series is famous for its engine sounds, which have reached new heights for Forza Motorsport. The graphics are outstandingly beautiful, especially in their rendering of the air. The racing is highly enjoyable, and the powerful assistance makes it more playable with a normal controller. When played with a racing wheel controller, the force feedback is more accurate than before, making Forza Motorsport a simulator that is also fun to play. There is not much to do beyond racing, and if you want to modify your car things can get a little bit grindy, but Forza Motorsport does offer you the chance to learn more about cars.

What bothers me the most about FM 2023 is not the road it's chosen, but that in doing so, it really doesn't distance itself from previous entries that much, and if I'm to play with a controller I still think Forza Horizon 5 has no rival. Turn 10 are more than capable to produce a top level simulator, but it's clear that this is not of Microsoft's interest. In my opinion, and given their resources and production values, this is a big missed opportunity seeing how the sim racing scene is not a niche anymore.

On the multiplayer servers, players can jump into lighthearted casual races or far more intense open events, where the global community of players bring their own cars – and their own tuning – to the track. But personally, most of my time with Forza Motorsport has been spent all by myself, taking the same left turn over and over again, until I’ve memorised every nuance of the angle. Turn 10 has brought out the obsessive in me. I mean that as a compliment.

Forza Motorsport is back. The driving is muscular, the emotion is very present and the visuals are capable of giving us a truly fun, accessible and complete experience on the asphalt. Whether you're using a controller or a steering wheel and pedals, Forza is ready to take you trough high speed, well-designed and modeled circuits. Despite a meager single-player experience, the multiplayer mode has grown in size and strength and is capable of providing hours of fierce competition. There are several aspects that can be improved, but this title strikes an interesting balance between casualness, simulation and competition that builds a solid foundation for an excellent racing platform in video games.

A fun and great simcade with an unrivaled fleet of cars, lively artificial intelligence of opponents and an excellent driving model. Although Forza Motorsport does not push the bar of racing games graphically and technologically, it basically has no rivals on its platforms.

As mechanically polished as driving sims have ever been on PC. Stately and familiar, but finely crafted.

Forza Motorsport lets you enjoy the atmosphere of racing and recreates driving sports cars brilliantly, but it definitely needs updates that would introduce more tracks and some graphical improvements. However, minor shortcomings do not take away from the pleasure of experiencing the game’s excellent driving model which is close enough to a serious simulation but at the same time accessible to mass audience. In terms of gameplay it’s undeniably the best Forza ever.

If you *had* to buy the new Forza Motorsport and this was the only one to play, I would recommend waiting until the developers patch it up and provide more content. But since it's available in Game Pass, you should check it out now. It's quite good.

Turn 10 Studios and PlayGround Games have improved the simulation racing aspect with Forza Motorsport. The racing is clearly the focus and the results are best experienced with a wheel as the tire model physics have helped to push this more into sim racing territory.

Forza Motorsport is certainly a very welcome return. The title doesn't change so much, offering a large fleet of cars, different tracks and a good driving system which, however, lacks some details. The drive system has been improved, but without achieving the best possible result. While driving almost all cars, we feel excessive understeer and oversteer and this makes for some in-game moments slightly frustrating, especially in the single player races.

Forza Motorsport is an absolute masterpiece that takes simulation to its maximum exponent, but also the demonstration that Turn 10 Studios is failing testing at the user experience level.

Optimization on PC seems a tad problematic. Aside from a challenging Thrustmaster pedal set-up, the frame rate is on the low 70fps with an Nvidia RTX 3080 while resorting to a relatively low resolution of 2560x1080. Even at such low resolution, the game features aggressive dips between cutscenes and traffic at the start. This may be something to watch out for for those not playing on Xbox Series X, where performance is solid.

Though it’s not as good as the classics, Forza Motorsport is still the best entry in the series since the beginning of the Xbox One era. The massive strides made on track and creative RPG leveling mechanics let it appeal to both racing game veterans and newbies alike. It’s just a shame that the bizarre AI behavior and frustrating FPS restrictions in multiplayer hurt what is an otherwise superb racing experience.

After six years of waiting for the next iteration of Forza Motorsport, Turn 10 Studios delivers a solid offering, packed with hundreds of cars, upgrades, and tuning options, all bundled in a gorgeous presentation package.

The Forza Motorsport series finally makes a comeback, with completely new physics and graphics – a setup that is immediately noticeable with wonderful driving feel and control. Otherwise, the game feels, unexpectedly, content poor and unpolished. Forza Motorsport will get better and better over time, but here and now there is a lot to be desired.

Forza Motorsport's 2023 reboot is definitely the best one yet. Improvements to graphics and audio result in a fully immersive racing experience. Despite a few niggles, the race against Gran Turismo is truly back on.
