    Forza Horizon 5 is probably my favourite racing game ever I rarely ever delve into the genre but the game is just so much fun to look at and play it's truly a marvel in gaming. Throw in an awesome soundtrack, interesting characters and a decent story this has to be my game of the year for 2021 absolutely phenomenal

    Forza Horizon 4, but it's better. Optimization in this game is awesome, I'm getting nearly the same frame count as in FH4, but graphics are better.
    Better gameplay, more exciting cars and simple controls. That's what a good game is.

    I have a playtime of 24 hours as of this review, got it on XBOX game pass 3 days ago. I liked it so much I bought the VIP bundle. I'm not even a car guy.

You can just slap on the best modifications to boost your stats but that doesn't mean you're going to keep it on the track, let alone win the race.     Despite being review bombed because of launch technical issue for some people. I've had 1 issue, solved it by turning off my power management program, EVGA precision. No problems since.

    The game has a wide variety of cars that you can either buy or win in a slot machine-type game. You can get some pretty amazing cars from the start. If the idea of a game to you is to have the fastest car that can smoke anything on normal difficulty, this game isn't for you. If you like collecting and racing, trying to 100% a large map with tons of content. If you like trying out different cars to see which one suits you, instead of chasing stat scores, then this game is for you.    … Expand

    Ótima otimização, trilha sonora boa, jogabilidade ótima, gráficos muito bonitos e com bastante detalhes, com certeza um dos melhores jogos de corrida atualmente, apenas poderiam melhorar um pouco a personalização dos carros, mas ótimo jogo, e também poderiam ter inovado um pouco mais em relação ao Forza horizon 4.

And when you modify your car it’s gonna change the car dynamics and the speed and all things. Not like in GTA where you can modify your car as well but there your car just gonna be faster and that’s all. So i can say the Forza Horizon series is the best car driving game i ever played!… Expand

Just ignore all the negative reviews, these are just Playstation losers who are angry because nobody likes their garbage last of us part 2, but everyone loves and Forza Horizon 5 (over 8 million players on first week) and Halo Infinite Multiplayer is most popular shooter of 2021 and also seems to have amazing story. Playstation has literally zero games until February 18, 2022.Great game.     I've been following the Horizon series back since the original game in 2012 and been watching the game improve on every release and always think how can they improve this anymore but they smash it everytime. I must say the Horizon 5 map is by the biggest and most detailed map in the whole series.

It's what I used to dream of when playing with Match Box cars on my carpet when I was little.     Love the game. Runs great on my PC at extreme settings. The detail in the cars and landscapes is amazing. The story is more geared toward pushing you into various tasks and races, which isn’t the most engaging, but I’m an RPG/MMO guy, so this is probably sufficient for a racer.     Awesome game I'll be playing for years. Very Deep Polished and Fun. Maxed out settings and getting over 100 fps. Played over 25 hours no crashes. The bad reviews here are just XBOX haters

    The best arcade racing game in history. There is no big news compared to Forza 4, but everything is improved and almost perfect. On my i7 3770k and GTX1080, everything works absolutely great.

    A massive disappointment for me. Gets boring really quick. For me it just feels like a big reskin, it's only the map that's really different. Graphics are a little better but just a little, only really looks good in the dark or when it rains. When it's sunny everything just looks way to bright. Some challenges when you do them properly don't count as done even if you restart the game and change some stuff.

    You want to get lots of exp and credits fast for the cars you want? do the 30 minutes races created by the community with the max difficulty and no assistance

The series started getting a bit lost with FH4, and the latest instalment has continued the decline; there's no sense of progression or achievement at all, the single player campaign is short, easy, boring, and eye-wateringly embarrassingly written, and the game throws out free cars and cash with reckless abandon so that what should be a reason for celebration - winning enough races or getting enough cash together to finally grab that awesome car - becomes a monotonous sense of "oh, great, another car I'm never going to use to add to the 400 I already have".

    If online worked it would be OK, but it's broken as heck at the moment and despite several patches and hotfixes it's still very much a case of hoping it remains stable long enough for you to do whatever you need to do.

    My advice, play FH3 - it's probably the series' peak.    … Expand

    I just can't understand what's going on with gaming industry in 2021. The game is bugged, two patches later almost nothing is fixed and devs just telling us "We'll fix these bugs later, now we're going on holidays, bye". Don't bother bying this broken game, at this rate devs will never fix it

    Seems like big Forza Horizon 3 expansion. Maybe it's just something technical with textures and objects but I think Forza Horizon 4 had better graphics. The map isn't big, gameplay is very arcadey, I think it might be even more forgiving than previous games. I can't shake of the feeling of regression when I play this game.     I thought I was buying a car game, I got a pro LGBT world with cars that go 350km/h on dirt roads without ever having to brake. This game sucks, it only serves to flatter the ego, it requires no skill. It has as much in common with cars as a duck and a Saturn V rocket.

    Can't even get past the opening mission without it crashing! So infuriating, I have attempted it 7 times and every time I try, there are various issues wrong with every single run. No controller vibration and then it crashes. The next run has no sound, and then it crashes. The 3rd run is so bright to the point where I can't see a thing. Thus drives me CRAZY.

Gamers are actually playing the game and thinks it's garbage - recycled everything! There is absolutely NOTHING new to this... Don't buy its a waste of money don't be fooled by the critics!!!

Forza Horizon 5 is absolutely gorgeous, it boasts a nice map full of beautiful vistas with varying environments and biomes, it has the same style of arcade racing that you're used to, and the car list, while not expanded too much, is still a very long and generous list with every detail on the exterior and interior included.

    Problem is, this game    Flat out not worth it this time around. Forza Horizon 5 is absolutely gorgeous, it boasts a nice map full of beautiful vistas with varying environments and biomes, it has the same style of arcade racing that you're used to, and the car list, while not expanded too much, is still a very long and generous list with every detail on the exterior and interior included.

    Problem is, this game has nothing to differentiate itself from the last 3 entries. There is no new hook or feature to sell this one beyond the fact that it is in a different location, and while Mexico looks great in this game, I don't find it particularly interesting as the setting. Everyone wanted this to take place in Japan (Tokyo) and I think that would have been the right move, personally.

    The same issues I had with previous Horizons are still prevalent in this game, and they are simply that there is no sense of progression, everyone has an incredible car near the beginning of the campaign, I miss the days of starting with a junker and actually having to work your way up, there is none of that in this game, it is mostly instant gratification, throwing cars at the player left and right, some of which come through the terrible casino-style wheel spin mechanic.

    Clothing and emotes are just unnecessary, it feels like FH5 is trying to be like modern NFS or the old Test Drive games and it manages to be neither. This also includes masks, because there is nothing better than living your pandemic virtually as well, and muzzling your character in game so they don't spread the virtual virus. Smh.

    The inclusion of gender pronoun ideology and identity is just plain moronic, and is not something that should have been included in the game because introducing these awful concepts to children who want to play a racing game is borderline indoctrination. Keep your misguided politics to yourself. You do not need to pander to people looking to buy an arcade racer. Also, the amount of prosthetics feels like some sort of weird amputee fetishist's wet dream, and I am sure that community was clamouring for this as well.

    The characters in this game are all annoying, they are the same rehashed personalities of characters from previous games and adding voiced dialogue for our created character seems utterly pointless. Plus they are all incredibly ugly looking, and seem to be more "diverse" this time around. Are there no white males in Mexico? Weird.

    There are also several issues on PC that are making it much harder to enjoy the game at all. Constant frame drops related to GPU usage, a couple crashes, bugs causing the terrain to show pixelated squares and discolouration, co-op connection and syncing issues, draw distance issues, these are some of the reoccurring problems for me, (and others apparently) and while I know they will fix and patch them over time, this is the product that was released and there is no excuse for these quality issues from AAA developers.

    + Extensive car list
    + Obsession to detail with cars
    + Environments and Biomes are well done

    - Same old horizon
    - Poor soundtrack
    - No meaningful progression
    - Clothes and emotes in a car game
    - Frame drops
    - Crashes
    - Draw distance issues
    - Connection/syncing issues
    - Co-op doesn't work properly
    - Gender ideology/pandering in a racing game open to kids
    - Need to splash $150 for the full experience
    - Voiced characters are annoying and they look awful
    - Online load times are atrocious

    Overall, the core of Horizon is still here; big sprawling map, gorgeous graphics, lots of cars, content, and fun little factoids about Mexico, but the boring location, same old problems, plethora of computer stability issues, and pandering make this a poor entry in the series, and the "journalists" giving this game a 90 or 9 have never played a game in this series and/or are paid off as per usual. They missed the mark with this one. It definitely could have been a lot better. If you own Horizon 3 or 4, this is not worth the full price.

This game is absolutely the same gameplay wise and mechanically wise. The graphics aren't an upgrade as advertised I could literally not tell the difference between the games. It is not worth the time nor effort to purchase this game over Forza Horizon 4. This game is absolutely the same gameplay wise and mechanically wise. The graphics aren't an upgrade as advertised I could literally not tell the difference between the games. Don't waste your time nor money, stick with 4, 3, or 2 because let's be honest they've been more or less the same since 2. Horizon become the COD of racing and it's a damn shame.

    Basically the same game as Forza Horizon 4. I do not see any differences except that now is Mexic not UK. Even menu is the same. For me this game is like dlc.

This means that you never know if you're winning or losing because of your driving, or if the AI just decided to do something weird. That is, in itself, an awful thing for a racing game. It undermines the core mechanic of the game.

    Custom race events no longer count towards progression (they did in FH4), so you can't even give yourself more laps to try and remedy this. All the races that count towards progression *must* be run as 3 lap sprints with random cars.

    Combine this with technical issues on PC, many in-game bugs, and you have a thoroughly unenjoyable experience where the core idea of the game - racing - is the weakest part.

    I guess it's great if you just want to oogle at cars, providing you can get it to work.

    If you new to the franchise - you're in for a treat. If you played at least FH4 - you'd get just a big DLC with pretty much nothing new. Customization is the same, the "special events" feel the same. Plus horrible disconnect issues, freezes, bugs, ai rubber banding and AI denying any known laws of physics

    ONLINE is not working at all and this is unacceptable. AI really sucks and that make offline racing bored. And there are some visual bug too.
    Really disapointed, this is why reviewers and youtubers dont even mention Online racing in their reviews…

    The game doesn't even work. It's been out for a week, crashes to desktop for a ton of people - me included - without any kind of explanation or crash report and all the workarounds online publications have gathered don't work. It's been out for over a week and no patch so far. Unacceptable.

My steering wheel settings just disappear every time I come back to the game.     The game in general is good but come on.. The game is far from a complete game, there is still a lot of bugs, loading screen time in online is unbelievable. Stuttering and the wall collision time seems unmatched to the actual speed when bumping in to the wall. This game has potential but they released an unfinished game.

    I was so hyped for the Game and i think it is the best Forza Horizon Game, but i can't play because it crash while launching. The support does not really helped and the solutions didn't helped. I'm very frustrated cause i tryed to fix it for hours.

    On one hand, I get that it's a way to validate the open world of the game, since without them, you'd basically just be roaming around an empty world going from event to event, but on the other hand, a lot of them are a real pain in the ass getting to.
    This is especially true for the fast travel boards, which are often located on top of buildings, meaning you have to do long jumps from mountains and whatnot just to reach them. They tend to require immaculate precision, which means you'll have to try over and over and over again until you finally get lucky enough to hit the right spot. I would've been fine with this if it was just a matter of the EXP boards, since EXP can easily be gained by other means, but ALL of the fast travel boards I've run into so far have been placed in such a manner, effectively forcing me to do these godawful jumps unless I want to traverse the map by road every single time I need to go to a different area. It's extremely tedious and irritating, to the point where it alone makes me lower my score by several points.    … Expand

    There is something sus going on when a game receives 9 /10 scores before launch then 5/10 from actual people. Its so disappointing, I was hoping for a bigger better experience. But this game is no different from the past 4 games.. if you dropped me in the middle of rhe map and asked me which game I was playing i wouldn't be able to tell of it was FH3, 4 or 5.

    PC Premium Edition should be playable 5 days before release. It's 2 days after and game still crashes instantly after launch. Any tip - disabling Internet, disabling anti-virus, updating drivers, reinstalling game doesn't help at all.

    Great game when it runs but it crashes so fast and often, that I'm surprised it's not a Forza edition car in the game. For all the people who had concerns with New World and what it may do to your GPU, you don't need to worry having played this game. Forza H5 on PC will put your system through the wringer.     Forza Horizon was never famous for it’s plot, but they decided to add one into this game and it’s cringe af.
    Graphics is worse than it was in fh4, especially draw distance, strange stripes in the middle of the screen with turned on SSAO, often textures look like they are directly from GTA VC even on extreme graphics preset.
    Luckily, driving experience itself is good (especially sounds), despite connection and graphical issues and other bugs.
    As a conclusion, I would firstly like to say, that I wasn’t expecting lots of new features and that I am absolutely satisfied with overall Horizon conception, so I am not considering such a little amount of changes since fh4 as a con, however, I wasn’t expecting this game to have so many bugs that it’s literally unplayable for the half of players. Playground - shame, you had 1 extra year, but the game feels like you had 1 year less.
    Still wondering how people give this 10/10, especially now. 4/10 max, if they fix all issues- definitely 7-8/10    … Expand

    The graphics, lighting and weather effects are some of the best we've seen in a racing game, but of course it's all about the cars. Although this is an arcade racer that does not focus on realism but rather on short and fast action, the cars behave truthfully and react differently whether you are driving on a track, on the street or off road. The controls have been kept simple, making the game accessible to just about anyone. Altogether, this makes Forza Horizon 5 the most fun racing game of the moment.

    Forza Horizon 5 still is a great racing game, but there’s no denying that the series is in a torpor-like state. It’s obvious that Playground is afraid not only to innovate, but to make any sort of significant change to a successful formula. [Issue#257, p.64]

    I don't think there's a motoring enthusiast who won't be excited about Forza Horizon 5, with a slight caveat for those who have had their fill of Forza Horizon 4 and might want more of the same - though honestly, I can't imagine how the formula could be improved upon, which in the arcade driving department is bordering on perfection. It promises and delivers an incomparably customizable driving experience, with dream-cars, in breathtaking landscapes.
