I think Forced Showdown has done a great job of incorporating different strategic layers on top of a twin stick shooter.

It might not be the most original idea ever, but it is a solid twin-stick brawler with familiar elements from card games. And we just can't stop playing it.

Forced Showdown is a clever little game that skillfully mixes action elements to a card game core, providing a lot of fun. Only the lack of any multiplayer mod is a real drawback. If you're a solo player you won't regret spending your money.

This style is very unique in it's style - haven't seen a game quite like it. It is primary a single-player game, but there is a pretty advance leaderboard system with season ranking. The amount of content in this game is ridiculous - for twenty bucks you won't get anything better for that price. Full Review »

A great mix of card-based luck, twin-stick action and some minor RPG with progression through each tournament. Plus purchasing chances for higher and stronger cards keeps you coming back. The 4 characters you can play as are very different, so it can be easy to get a fresh gameplay. So far loving the game and have put about 15 hours into it. This game is also built for the console, so hopefully it shows up there.
