Absolutely not the worst FM game in the series, nor is the best like some reviews here claim. Does it improve on the previous games? Yes a little bit. Enough to warrant a new $50 release? No.

This is a manager game. It's a good manager game, but it's also a niche game. It's page up and down of statistics, numbers and what not. For the most part you'll sit with the feeling that it doesn't really matter what you tell your players to do, just like in real football (those who has had the pleasure of being a coach knows the feeling).

In conclusion, since this is a pretty ****

In conclusion, since this is a pretty **** review, I laugh out loud to the idiots claiming the game hasn't evolved. It's a FOOTY MANAGER GAME! It's been more or less like this since the 90's and still going strong. Some games aren't supposed to change much, and this is one of those games.

I really like football manager (that's basically why my rating is that high), but they added more features and instructions, but the players still ignore your instructions, it is really annoying that you have something in mind but the players simply don't respond to it

It really is about time people started calling out Sega and SI on Football Manager. Once again, we have a game here which is nothing more than an over-elaborate spreadsheet that ignores your instructions.

Football Manager 2017 is the best soccer manager simulator ever, but its new features are not good enough to forget its predecessor.

Football Manager 2017 is no revolution, but it doesn’t claim to be. The franchise is, instead, built upon careful revisions and tweaks to its successful formula, bringing new feature sets on top of the base game loved by millions. It’s these millions who purchase it every year, and continue to support a developer who continues to push themselves with every release, improving their formula and giving fans the best possible experience — whether managing a world powerhouse or a lower level team just trying to balance the books, the decisions made are never easy, and genuine pressure exists. Football Manager continues to capture the essence of what it is like to truly love, fear, hate and live football, like no other ever has.

Football Manager 2017 is an excellent football management experience, with tons of information and an incredible depth in every field of management. The engine is solid, running smoothly, but it needs a complete upgrade in the future.
