May 4, 2020Follia: Dear Father is a classic survival horror film that incorporates the Amnesia model and plays in a more contemporary key, at least on a thematic level.

May 4, 2020Follia: Dear Father is a simple but intriguing survival horror made by small Italian software house. As many other indie titles, it is full of nice ideas but crippled by lots of imperfections. Its VR nature makes it hard to be enjoyed from a normal screen.

May 4, 2020Follia: Dear Father tells an inconsistent and trivial story and fills the great narrative voids with jumpscares and dull gameplay mechanics.

May 11, 2020In short, some easy scares and a fair amount of blood and offal on the screen are not enough to recommend a title that has little to offer even the most hardcore fans of a formula that perhaps, at this point, deserves some kind of revision.

May 4, 2020Follia could’ve been an interesting game, but its gameplay is just not good enough. It feels like we’ve played this game too many times, and it doesn’t do anything well enough to recommend it over the dozens of alternatives available. We understand the limited resources this small Italian team had; however, the core mechanics are just not fun.
