Five Night's at Freddy's 2 is a simple, yet enjoyable game. The game expands on the first game, by adding 6 new animatronics, and keeping the original 5. When an animatronic is in the room, or peeking through the vents, you throw on the mask as fast as you can, otherwise you get a jumpscare. The game is also insanely difficult later in the game, you need really quick reaction times. Also, there is a custom night that allows you to customize 10 of the animatronics (Puppet can't be customized, he's always the same). Each animatronic has a max level of 20 difficulty. If all animatronics are level 20, it's impossible to win basically.

This game isn't as scary as the first game unfortunately. But, it definately makes you more paranoid, since there are now 11 animatronics you need to watch out for, you're always wondering where they are and when you need to quickly react to them. If you're to slow, you get a jumpscare and have to restart the night. The biggest complaint I have, is the jumpscares are much less impressive than the first game. They don't scare you as much, and seem to be less animated. Still, they're pretty decent for being animated by a single man.

Oh yes, this whole game was programmed by a single person, which is why it's even more impressive. No team at all, and it was made in about 3 months.

Five Night's at Freddy's is a great game if you like a good scare. It's a great sequel, and expands on the story in an amazing way. I'd highly recommend this game if you liked the first, or you just want something that's relatively cheap to buy the time, since each night takes about 15 minutes. Just remember, be ready for Freddy.

I really enjoy this game. It's improves everything I didn't like about the first game. The gameplay is fun, the graphics are nice, the quality is way better and the controls are good. Although parts of the fanbase can be trash (as to be expected I guess), I'd recommend you buy this game if you enjoyed the first. If you didn't like the first, then you may or may not like this one. But i think i enjoyed FNaF 2 more than the first cause here has more scary animatronics and it has not the electric power problem but it's a very tough to beat game and i like it it's one of the best games i've played! I believe this was Scott's first spike of having fun with his game and the community. This game is challenging, has some pretty cool but annoying mechanics such as the Music Box for Freddy Mask. I don't recommend it if you don't want to have a pretty damn hard challenge, but if you want to casually play it for a few nights, I recommend bringing an inhaler, because it will be a bumpy ride.

Be forewarned, you have to monitor MANY things at once. Give it a go.

FNaF 2 is defininetly a great addition to the series. It adds much more detail into the ever expanding lore, and is very challenging to beat fully. The so called "critics" do not know what they're talking about, since FNaF is more known for its lore than it is gameplay. None the less, the game is fantastic, very challenging, very fun, and very scary.

The multi-tasking element here exceeds past its predecessor, a suspenseful involvement for the player. The story here is more revealed forcing players to play even farther in this game. It's scary, difficult and articulate, perfect.

This game is designed to make you feel defenseless. There are no doors you can close, there is only a mask to put on to prevent the animatronics from getting ahead of you. It was a change of mechanics where you will feel more cornered.

Although the game came out rather quickly, the prequel to FNAF innovates enough to make the game seem intuitive and not-repetitive. The game is absolutely worth the $8 asking price and is able to give you the experience you were expecting from this title. All in all. it's a solid game and I can't wait to see where it goes next.

Bought it. Downloaded it. Started new game. Listened to phone-call guy. Checked cameras. Everything normal. Checked hallway. All clear. Check camera again, three animatronics missing. Started crying. Heard a spooky wheeze-laugh-squeak-sound. Ctrl+alt+deleted. Amazing game :)

This game is well below its previous game, assuming that this game has to be scary .
But the positive that has is its high difficulty that can make you lose several hours of your life, if you want 100% complete .
    I recommend it.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Five Nights at Freddy's was incredibly popular for many reasons. It was something new, it had a different form of enemy, it was cheap, it was difficult, it had an interesting back story... In short, it quickly became one of the most surprising games of 2014 after its soft release, but many plays, The hilarious Let's Play videos only helped to bolster its popularity. Knowing that he had a winner on his hands, Scott Cawthon quickly developed the next one and released it... only a few months after the first! If you thought COD was bad for sequels, try releasing 2 games within 3 months of each other. The thing is, Freddy's 2 somehow manages to keep the scares, the difficulty and the unique characters if the original, while improving in almost every way! Every way that is, except for the most important...

This time you play as guard Jeremy Fitzgerald at a new and improved Pizzeria. There are now eleven animatronics instead of five and they range from reinvented versions of the originals to nasty new ones like a laughing Balloon Boy and a Puppet that constantly forces you to watch your cameras. I still love the character designs- the animatronics are somehow innocent, yet incredibly horrifying all at the same time. Take the original Freddy for example- he looks alright, if a little battered, but put him in the right position and he's the scariest monster in the game. The animatronics are noticeably more active in this game and right from the start they'll come for you. The AI is much better this time around and the game holds your hand even less than the first one did... while the Phone Guy gave twisted tutorials in the first game, now he is content to just tell you backstory and doesn't even bother explaining the new mechanics....

Speaking of these new mechanics, the game is very similar to the first one, but changes enough to feel innovative. There are no doors now, with the animatronics crawling through vents to reach you or just coming head on. That's why you have a Freddy mask- while you are watching your cameras (of which there are even more now), the creatures will sneak into the room. Pull down your tablet and wollah- a faceless Bonnie is standing above you in the office. If you are quick enough you can put on the mask, wait for her to leave and then go about your business like nothing happened. If you are slow however... jump scare time! While this is much harder than the original, a feature has also been cut out- power monitoring! You now have a bigger budget and never need to worry about the lights going out. if you think this makes it easy, think again. You have a flash light with limited battery and while it takes a while to drain it, it is instrumental to getting you scared. Another new feature- you now must wind up a music box repeatedly. If it goes completely down, a Puppet animatronic comes and kills you. I have mixed feelings about this mechanic. While you get notifications when the box is about to run out, I hated it when the animatronics pull down your camera just as the box is about to wind up. By the time you've avoided them, the thing has run out and the Puppet comes to kill you. These deaths are cheap and made me wish the mechanic was never included. Then again, the fans love a challenge and this supplies it!

Once again, the graphics are poor. I don't mind the low budget feel and the animatronic models look excellent, but this game sucks hard when it comes to environments and lighting. The sound design is still top of the line though, with a creepy score and some freaky sound cues, like the constant dialogue from a child saying "Hi". The ambient sounds are also pretty damn freaky. Once again there are no issues with the controls, because you barely control anything. When it comes to entertainment, once again there is a main campaign of five nights, along with a bonus 6th night and the Custom Night. Once again you won't feel the need to replay this either, as a tense hour of it is enough for what you get.

Freddy's 2 is fun and is easily my preference in the series. While it doesn't advance too much and there is still a fair amount of repetition (though that is broken up with "cutscenes" and 8-bit arcade games), this feels like enough of a revolution to make sequel status. However, a few more new ideas would certainly help with the inevitable third game.

Five Nights at Freddy's 2 is a fantastic sequel to the original Five Nights at Freddy's. In the first game, i breezed through nights 1-4, completed night 5 with a bit of trouble, and completed Night 6 after many, many tries. An unnecessary difficulty spike from night 5 to 6. But in Five Night's at Freddy's 2, Night 1 was unusually difficult for night one and the nights had a steady difficulty increase unlike the first game which was a bit fluctuate with its difficulty. I really did enjoy this. I really find that this game is scary in that is preys on my most basic of instincts as a human, the ability to properly deal with a threat. I can't run from the threat like in slenderman or shoot it or anything like that. All I can do is delay the inevitable just a little longer.

The game’s downfall is the forsaking of its predecessor’s main elements of dread in favor of resorting to cheap jump-scares with the over-saturation of old animatronics and the music box preventing you from being able to change your actions more.
