Feb 9, 2016A thrilling story accompanied by absolutely beautiful artwork. Ever since you start playing the game it will be hard to put down. The conversation you have with the other character is never boring.

Feb 10, 2016The game plays a bit differently from what I expected going in. But the story kept my full attention, and the experience leaves me pining for more. I don't necessarily think that's a bad thing, and I truly hope to see more from Campo Santo in the future, but perhaps next time they could make their game a bit longer.

Feb 9, 2016If you are tired of something, and you want to play anything different, go Play Firewatch and enjoy a good story, funny/serious characters, enjoy the music and the visuals meanwhile you are searching the woods. I really needed a game like this for a long time, just chill and play

Feb 9, 2016Hardly a game, more like a mediocre story-based game trying to show off animation and graphics. Lots of backtracking, uninspiring characters, and cheesy conversation lines. The only redeemable factor is that it shows a glimpse of suspense, but that which quickly dies away.

Feb 28, 2016It's very frustrating to me to see this walking simulator well reviewed because its creators are part of the hipster video game former-editorial club.
"ZOMG ITS THE GUYZ FROM IDLE THUMBS THEY ARE MISERABLE HIPSTERS LIKE US, THE REVIEWERS!" Dialogue is trite, gameplay is as boring as its close cousin Gone Home. **** game, save your money. -

Feb 21, 2016I love open world first person games with strong elements of exploration so this fits the bill perfectly. Looking forward to more titles like this from this highly creative software house.

Sep 20, 2017Don't support game companies that try to grab publicity by damaging someone's reputation. Most people didn't know what Firewatch was until they pulled their little stunt.
-
May 25, 2016Very short. Boring game-play. The dialogue is good, but the story falls flat in the end. Disappointing to say the least, if not for the scenery this would be a 4 for me. Spend your money elsewhere and save your 4 hours.

Sep 20, 2017Very linear game play. Scripted in a way that is not fun. You can basically watch a stream and get as much enjoyment for free. Check it out on twitch if you're curious.

Feb 12, 2016An amazing linear adventure-walking simulator-visual novel. Name it whatever you want.
It makes you feel all the emotions freely during the game play.
If you always imagine a game combined Dear Esther and any survival-choicely game. Buy it. That's all. -

Sep 15, 2017Boring game, sub-par quality. Extremely linear and predictable. Not to mention the company behind it, Campo Santo, seems to be big time into censorship. I will not make the mistake of purchasing another Campo Santo game.

Feb 12, 2016I've made an account to rate this game a zero. I knew it was walking simulator on rails before I started playing, but this is completely and utterly a waste of time.

Feb 9, 2016Firewatch is the best game I have played in the last few years. It has stunning visuals, a compelling story, and it is one of the best games to come out in recent history.

Mar 6, 2016This is a great game. I play like every games that comes out and i have come only to tell YOU:
Try this game. It is just great. And I am still thinking about what i have experienced there.
I would just love to play this game again just to feel the same buzz again... -
Mar 7, 2017Firewatch is what a walking simulator should be. Compelling narrative, great visuals, and a run button.
While some argue that the ending was cheap, I liked it. But I’m a sucker for a story with an unreliable narrator, so what do I know. -
Feb 10, 2016I think it's not the game is average, but it's the interpretation and limited experience of people is. Anyone who is "disappointed" about the ending has a lot of learning to do about life.

Feb 13, 2016Firewatch tried to offer a good story in an amazing game world, but it failed to do that.
It needs some interesting moment, needs more than 2 characters, need a deeper and more convincing story line. The game just end up like a walking simulator to me,and the mission design make it like a linear game, not an open world game. -

Feb 23, 2016FireWatch - a game in which you should not expect action, a fast and dynamic gameplay, etc.
The game is based on communication with your boss and the study of this INCREDIBLE WORLD! -
Feb 17, 2016LOVED the storyline and relationship between the two main characters but I missed a bit more interaction with the environment hoping this game was going to be a modern graphic adventure, but it wasn't.

Feb 16, 2016Firewatch is a perfect example of how to capture the imagination of story driven games, while providing the audiences with griping dialogue and compelling characters. I had a very enjoyable experience with this game. Although it only tool 7 hours to complete it was something special and my favorite game of 2016 so far.
-
May 5, 2016This "experience" works best when you bring zero expectation to it. It may put a controller in your hand, but a lot of the interaction you will have with this world is baked into the game play.
That being said, this may be the best game I've played in 2016. The story it tells is a thought invoking, paranoia inducing trip that you want to take a hit of. This will leave you with something -
Feb 20, 2016Beautiful art combined with an interesting story. The only reason I'm giving it a 9/10 and not a perfect 10 is because of the story length. Otherwise, very enjoyable.

Apr 19, 2017It could have been even better if it was a little longer and if it had like multiple endings or something like that. But as it is still a great game, had lots of fun. Great voice acting and thrilling combining the art of the world and the graphics makes it special. I hate walking simulators but this is the best one yet. Do not miss and it pick it up at a discount totally worth every minute.
-
Mar 4, 2016Firewatch has a great experience, the story is solid, visually pleasing, a fantastic atmosphere and overall I really enjoyed it. The conclusion to the story and the game all happened very fast and felt a bit rushed which was a bit disappointing.

Feb 12, 2016Played it - Beat it - I would have given it a 10 if the ending wasnt that "bleh". It was an extremely well done game overall. Story and dialogue were great and it was very intriguing on how you communicated with Delilah. Felt like a movie.
I was just so disappointed in the ending that it took away from the heart and originality of the game. -
Feb 17, 2016Not going to ramble on here about too much stuff, just want to say the game is good fun and a change from the usual stuff (escaping Zombies and Killing). The game is fairly cheap I think I paid £14.99 from steam. I have to say this game is also incredibly relaxing.
-
Apr 20, 2017The game is very very short for the price.
The art is stunning and the game is very relaxing.
the ending was a bit underwhelming but good overall!
it's funny how the whole game is nothing than a character moving around but they managed to make it interesting. if you're looking for something like call of duty this definitely isn't the game you will like. -
Aug 29, 2016Best game I've played in last few years. If you like the good dialogs, nice story, beautiful scennery then this is your game! I think we can call this as an interactive film / adventure game. So if you like this genre this four hour worth the money!
-
Feb 13, 2016It was an amazing experience. Graphics, sounds and controlling was perfect. The strong part of this game is the scenario and the binding you develop with the character. In order to understand the meanings of this game you have to have some sort of maturity and not just expect a shooting game.

Mar 7, 2020My experience with this **** game: Game starts out with a depressing intro, then after a short time my character bugged out and got stuck on a rock so I had to re-do the entire game. Made it to the same point and it happened again, so I uninstalled this **** game and wish I never wasted my money. What a joke, literally no idea who gave this crap positive ratings, very suss
-
Mar 29, 2016Firewatch is visually stunning and very intriguing. The gameplay is simple yet satisfying and the story kept me on the edge of my seat. Its a solid game from star to finish and would recommend to anyone.
-
Feb 18, 2016Firewatch created an unique experience where you constantly feel the vulnerability of being alone and not at the top of the food chain in an unfamiliar area. The interactive dialogs are just awesome and the story is great. The lenght of the game is just about right.

Apr 2, 2016I really don't like how the End goes. Very rough. Would've expected more than that. So i rate it okay-ish. But i wouldn't buy it. Get it free from the net and you're good to go.
-
Nov 15, 2017The only thing going for this game is the beautiful art style.
The world is quite empty in comparison to many walking sims that take place in much smaller gameworlds.
The story doesn't go anywhere.
And the poor business practices hurting the industry. -
Feb 11, 2016its the most awesome game of his kind from the games i played and i didn't finish it yet...but its awesome and the story and all that stuff are awesome!!!
-
Feb 16, 2016for 20$ you get an experience, "it is not what it seems" is both the story and trailer, you want to explore off the trail of the plot to get the most out of the game.

Feb 17, 2016Buy this game.
The story is amazing. It maybe short but you feel the weight of your decisions after you have chosen them. Highly recommend buying this game and playing through at least twice. The art is wonderful and the characters for what we see of them are great and thought through. -
Feb 17, 2016The game is one of the shortest I've ever played, but you can enjoy every minute of it, highly recommended if you prefer story above gameplay. Great journey.

CD-ActionMay 1, 2016Firewatch is hands down the best, the most engaging first person walker I have ever played. Something doesn’t let me rate it higher though, and I guess it’s my common sense. [04/2016, p.50]

Apr 15, 2016The look of this game is nothing short of stunning… Each detail is carefully designed and thought out with a charming feel to it overall.

LEVEL (Czech Republic)Apr 12, 2016This unconventional game combines strong story, beautiful natural surroundings and fantastically written and played characters. What it lacks in classic adventure mechanics, it makes up in great dialogue system between the main protagonists. [Issue#262]
