    Endwalker is an outstanding finale to the Hydaelyn/Zodiark saga that began in A Realm Reborn that has some of the most creative gameplay segments of this entire game, a story that not only lives up to the bar set by Shadowbringers, but actually surpasses it with an even more emotional, heartwarming, & gut-wrenching story about life, its meaning, suffering, despair, & joy, and great pacingEndwalker is an outstanding finale to the Hydaelyn/Zodiark saga that began in A Realm Reborn that has some of the most creative gameplay segments of this entire game, a story that not only lives up to the bar set by Shadowbringers, but actually surpasses it with an even more emotional, heartwarming, & gut-wrenching story about life, its meaning, suffering, despair, & joy, and great pacing for a story that actually was the result of two expansions combined into one.     The story was so amazing that I teared up several times and was able to making me feel several strong emotions.     The story was so amazing that I teared up several times and was able to making me feel several strong emotions. Emotions that blew up thanks to the sublime conclusion of a story arc that has been going since 2010.

    On the wings of Final Fantasy games, FFXIV not only is able to please long time fans of the series playing FF games since 1987, making this game a theme park mmorpg, it moves the series forward as a standalone rpg/jrpg, making the rpg part in "mmo" a reality.

    Endwalker can be considered the culmination of a masterpiece. And as many masterpieces in art, be music, story, painting, drawings and so on once you reach the end it leaves you in shambles crying, and a feeling of emptiness. But in my heart I know that this is just the beginning for FFXIV, the story will move forward and I'm eager and excited to see what this amazing team will be able to let us embark on.

    FFXIV is a love relationship between players and devs, players and creators, devs and creators, I want to say thank you to Yoshi-P, the ffxiv team and the community (most of it at least) for this amazing experience from the bottom of my heart. It gives me hope for the future of Final Fantasy but even more so for the real world, thanks to the messages that the story delivers to the players.     Great experience! Been playing this game since ARR and with the realease of Endwalker marking the ending of the Hydaelyn and Zodiark tales it just feel so fulfilling! It it a magnificent history that deservers every compliment it gets!

They actually did it- they just topped Shadowbringers in the zones, dungeons, music, trials and storytelling. Everything is delivered in a harmonious package that hits me in the right notes.

    In the continuity of Shadowbringers, Quality content, stability, despite a long queu to play, the server have never crashed once ! Music and dungeon are amazing, the story is a the level, rather better than any other FF, the new class are amazing,

    Actual masterpiece. Though story and some narrative choices would not be liked by everyone, for me personally it outclasses Shadowbringers by a lot, which surely wasn't easy.

    Never did I think Creative Business Unit III would be able to top the amazing work they did with ShadowBringers, the previous expansion to FFXIV. But after completing Endwalker i'm happy to say that i have been proven wrong. Personally I could not think of a better way to end the story ark they have been building since 2.0.     Don't even get me started on the music. Damn. It's just amazing and used perfectly, something which greatly enhances the experience of the story. It's a crime that FFXIV have not won any big awards for the music.

    Deeply emotional story.
    Every music track kicks in at the right moment.
    I can only hope that someday the developers will be able to completely untie it from online, so that the game will forever remain in history and everyone can enjoy it.

    Compared to ShB it is definitely more flawed, but at the same time it also reaches far higher peaks. Giving it a perfect score because in the end it really sticks the landing. And that is not something i can take for granted, for i can't even remember the last time i saw this happen with a story of this size. A fantastic end to an epic tale.

    This expansion exceeded all my expectations. no wonder this is one of the best MMOs ever made, you can feel the love and passion the team behind this have for the game.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. "Shadowbringers was amazing, but there's no way they could top it." - You, me, and every other fan of the game.

    Thank goodness we were absolutely wrong. THIS is how you wrap up a 10 year long story. All the pieces of the puzzle, even all the way back in ARR, finally come together to tell the finale in a legendary ending. This isn't just the best story to ever be told in a MMO, it's one of my favorite RPG's of all time. From the music, the cut scenes, the gameplay, and the community, FFXIV has managed to make what feels like an impossible dream come to life.

    The queue are long, but once you are in everything is smooth. 0 bugs, 0 crashes, 0 lag. They really nailed it as usual

    A great finale to the Hydaelyn and Zodiark gran saga. Definitely worth it if you invest a lot of the time on the msq and also the side content stories like the raid and alliance. Progression of the story feels so much smoother aside from some " follow someone " quest. Music wise is SUPERB as expected and the dungeon design is so much colorful and detail compare to previous expansion.A great finale to the Hydaelyn and Zodiark gran saga. Definitely worth it if you invest a lot of the time on the msq and also the side content stories like the raid and alliance. Progression of the story feels so much smoother aside from some " follow someone " quest.     This expansion manage to surpassed even Shadowbringer in many way. Don't let the launch issue discourage you from trying out this masterpiece

    I have played tons of hours since early release and it is absolutely wonderful. So many great improvements on what was already one of the best MMOs of all time. The story is fantastic and very well told and voice acted. I cannot recommend Endwalker and FFXIV as a whole heartily enough.

    Possibly the best story I've ever experienced. Yes up there with the likes of Chrono Trigger and Xenogears. It is unbelievably good.

    If you enjoyed Shadowbringers you absolutely owe it to yourself to play this.

    Nobody has expected SQE and producer Yoshida to come up with an another fascinating expansion after the Shadowbringers. They have wrapped up the whole saga in an incredible way, giving users a heartwarming experience as they bring up memories in the past.

    Endwalker deserves all the praises and more. i never though shadowbringer could be dethroned for one of my favorite RPG's but Endwalker ties up the story of the saga so well together that I am just overwhelmed with this perfect ending to 8 years of great storytelling.     This game is crafted with love, respect and passion. The story is incredible. The amount of little details is impressive. It's a great ending of 10 year saga. It was worth it.

    I thought Shadowbringers couldn't be topped, but they amazed me yet again! Words can't describe how incredible this expansion was; from the plot to the music to the duties to the locales. Definitely my absolute favorite expansion of the franchise thus far. An incredible experience -- As someone else said, Endwalker is a literal masterpiece!

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. So, after a long-ass time, we finally get the ending to this main arc of a story, a story that many seem to consider the staple of jrpg and one of the best stories ever written, on par with the classics. Or so they say.

    Now I won't really go much into details for obvious reasons, but all I can say about the game itself is that "if you played all the previous expansions, you played this one as well", which is the following

    - You level up
    - You do the daily
    - Gather 450 weekly tomestomes that everyone loves to be gatekept on
    - Do it again next week until your gear becomes obsolete.

    Sounds fun? Well, apparently it is considering it's been like this since Heavensward but people seem to not notice that the game has been doing the same thing since then. I literally could say a lot of things that they recycled and I would still be denied. What a great community!
    Although in their defense they did try some new things, like POTD 1 and 2 (called Heaven on High) or Eureka 1 and 2 (called Bosia...bozhia....bozja? Eureka 2). And guess what? THEY ALL FREAKING SUCKED!

    Anyway, I would love to rant more about the game itself but honestly, I'd love to talk about the story, mainly because it's always considered the biggest quality and apparently it's considered so good that it's creating an example. And frankly, I don't get why considering it's once again one of the most average stories ever created, and after playing the main story I'm also kind of unsure why, especially when the final boss of the game is literally an enemy you meet for a tenth of the game's running time vs another famous enemy that's been teased for A DECADE.

    But really, I just don't understand what's so good about it: it's the generic power fantasy where you beat the bad guys, with a roster of characters that you either care or don't, and get through the end. I don't see the greatness when other jrpgs been doing this before and much better. If people like it I guess good, but a staple of jrpg stories? I mean yeah, some scenes were impressive, but considering that the cutscenes are made cheaply it's hard to get invested. Some cutscenes were good but good isn't enough for a game that's considered "The best story was ever written" or something. I enjoyed it but once I finished it I completely forgot about it, it's that generic.

    Bottom line, it's an OKAY story, but it's the same exact expansion as the previous one when it comes to gameplay, and as of this review 6.2 is coming this late august which I already know what's gonna bring, which is more gear that will make your old gear obsolete, one single dungeon that'll become repetitive after the first time, and other minor additions that might get forgotten soon. Although maybe we might get harder dungeons so that's a positive but I'm holding my hype.

    Overall an excellent climax to a 10 year story. Not as consistent or good as shadowbringers in story, pacing or areas but definitely the second best expansion in 14.

    Just started to play this game in July 5th, and here i am - having 1500+ hours already - i'm in my 3rd X - with my husband, and we got blown away by how well made this game is and why haven't we started playing this sooner.
    We had much hopes for Endwalker and after finishing it I must say that yes, it succeeded on being even better than SHB (and it was already amazing), but I haven't had    Just started to play this game in July 5th, and here i am - having 1500+ hours already - i'm in my 3rd X - with my husband, and we got blown away by how well made this game is and why haven't we started playing this sooner.

    If you didn’t like FFXIV before now, Endwalker will do nothing to change your mind. But if you’re in, this emotional rollercoaster will be rolling towards a satisfying conclusion, that absolutely will not disappoint.

    FFXIV is currently the best MMORPG available. The main reason is because it’s RPG first, MMO second. The story isn’t just an afterthought, but an integral part of the experience, and everything else revolves around the tale of the Warrior of Light. It’s logical, well-planned, and presented with great, voiced (or not) cut-scenes.
