    In short: it sure is an MMO expansion. Endwalker walks (pardon the pun) a thin line between providing more of what players already like, along with something new and different. When it works, it feels great. When it doesn’t, it’s often a reminder of the game’s frequent aversion to risk or significant change. It may be that breaking this hold is what FF14 will need in the future.

    Endwalker isn’t quite as tight of an experience as the previous expansion Shadowbringers and definitely suffers from a few pacing issues, but it’s still a must for Final Fantasy fans and exceeded all of my expectations. It’s also showing its age graphically now (the grapes memes attests to that), but if you love the main FF games and still haven’t tried this MMO yet, then you really need to fix that (when the game goes back on sale again of course) as you’re missing out on one of the greatest FF tales of all time. A genuine must play despite its flaws.

    It seemed impossible, but they surprised us again. So many good references to Final Fantasy IV.

    Overall a really great expansion.
    Minus one point, because I was really disappointed that there was no real conclusion for Zenos' story. I    Overall a really great expansion.
    Minus one point, because I was really disappointed that there was no real conclusion for Zenos' story. I don't understand why they brought him back and then did almost nothing with his arc.
    Don't get me wrong, I loved the battle with him and the direction he was heading (redemption) to... but then there was nothing really. I hoped for more to come for him, but if this was really all... meh.

    Apart from that Endwalker was still a really good expansion. 9/10    … Full Review »
