Oct 7, 2016If you don't have a PlayStation 4 or a Xbox One at home and you want to play football on PC, FIFA 17 is your only option.
-
Oct 4, 2016Trying to conjure up faults with FIFA 17 is a remarkably hard task.
-
Oct 8, 2016With its licences, extensive game modes and a clean pc port, FIFA 17 is a great package, but doesn't offer much new.
-
Sep 30, 2016FIFA 17 is like the first step of a new genre with The Journey mod, we are probably going to see more sports games with a powerful background story.
-
Oct 21, 2016FIFA 17 delivers a nice touch with the new single-player mode “The Journey”. The switch to the Frostbite engine makes the game the most complete and beautiful sports-sim in the PC platform at the moment. However, we do feel EA Sports missed a few chances solving some persistent buggy behaviors (eg. player collisions).

Oct 6, 2016You don't need to fear for the quality of FIFA 17 on PC - everything looks great. The PC port of the newest game from EA Sports not only isn't inferior to the console versions but some things look and feel even better. That's what I call fair play.
-
Oct 12, 2016An epic ode to the joy of football, but with room remaining for improvement.
-
Oct 9, 2016FIFA 17 is still a very good game, but it's still a bit of a disappointment. Instead of fixing the various existing gameplay-problems, FIFA 17 rather focuses on establishing its new engine and story-mode. Thus, FIFA falls behind PES because of the overall worse gameplay-mechanics in comparison to prior installments.

Oct 5, 2016In terms of sheer number of game modes, FIFA is unmatched, and The Journey alone is enough to warrant a badge of recommendation. Hopefully future iterations of the game won’t just be rehashing the same story told this year. The PC version of the game is having technical issues at the moment, but if these can be ironed out, then the online modes are a great deal of fun too.

Game World Navigator MagazineOct 21, 2016Because of the story mode, sometimes it feels like FIFA 17 is not a football sim, but a football-themed RPG: there’s family drama, conflict with a friend, press conferences, building rapport with teammates, and many other things. And it’s the story mode that kept us playing FIFA, even though Pro Evolution Soccer 2017 is arguably better at simulating football match itself. [Issue#213, p.46]

Oct 5, 2016FIFA 17, to me, is one of the stronger entries in the last few years from the EA Sports guys and it’s a pretty great game if you’re relatively new to proceedings.
-
Oct 4, 2016It’s a more physical FIFA this year, with greater emphasis on build-up passing and positional movement than one-on-one dribbling. Aspects of these changes can irritate, but the major disappointment with FIFA 17 is its failure to engage with any of the series’ lingering legacy problems, even on a new engine.

Oct 5, 2016It’s mostly a game of the same old problems – a Louis Van Gaal team in José Mourinho clothing. It falls down on the pitch and fails to execute well on its new ideas. I hope next year brings a better Journey and a better destination.
