Jul 29, 2015Despite what you could think at first glance, this is mostly an unforgiving action game, with some interesting ideas that require skill and improvisational abilities from the player. It doesn't always work perfectly, though, and it's a bit on the short side.
-
Sep 18, 2015Ori is a massive game with so many levels and areas to go through, while Feist ends relatively quickly.
-
Aug 11, 2015Feist is an intense, challenging and captivating action platform but it's too short and lacks some balance.
-
Jul 30, 2015It's really short, just a couple of hours of entertainment, but at the same time the gameplay is original and interesting.
-
Jul 23, 2015A challenging and atmospheric platformer with a remarkable sense of tension, occasionally.
-
Aug 30, 2015Certain sections can get a bit repetitive, and it’s here that FEIST gets further left behind by Limbo which constantly innovated and was memorable throughout.
-
Jul 26, 2015Fascinating and full of mystery. The only real flaw is longevity: it takes three hours to complete it.
-
Jul 30, 2015It establishes an eerie mood, making you feel vulnerable to what lurks in the shadows. It just gets hung up in awkward moments at times.
-
Sep 4, 2015Feist is a charming dark adventure that unquestionably draws its inspiration from Limbo. Even though it has its merits with its concrete gameplay and nice artistic direction, it nevertheless cannot achieve greatness due to its short length and the insufficient variety of environments, enemies and environmental dangers.
-
Aug 5, 2015The game’s insistence on minimalism gives it an elegance but, conversely, it also gets in the way.
-
CD-ActionOct 17, 2015Usually I’m not into artsy little indie games, but I was ready to fall in love with Feist. Unfortunately it didn’t want to love me back. Its difficulty level turned tension that I welcomed in the beginning of the adventure into frustration that prevented me from enjoying this beautiful, atmospheric game as much as I hoped to. [10/2015, p.53]
-
Aug 11, 2015It is built on masochism but lacks the attendant pleasure that's supposed to follow in pain's wake.
-
Aug 31, 2015Although its premise was simple and delightful at first, playing through FEIST was a trying experience and one that I would not want to repeat.
-
Nov 23, 2015Hedgehogs, mosquitoes, caves, rocks, jumping over branches, but no mechanism you would say "yes, it is a great thing that can make a good game." So again: As a mobile game for a few Euros - why not. But as a desktop game? Waste of time that you can spend with better pieces. I named a few of them, so if you have not played them yet, go try them.
