    Basically just a dollarstore Just Cause.

    Horrible story, buggy AI, SJW agenda, no real perk system and the world feels hollow despite being the largest Far Cry yet.
    But hey, at least weapon customization is fun and my danger-backpack goes brrrrt

    If you don't want to read my review, Far Cry 6 is completely forgettable, and is a disappointment coming off Far Cry 5. It's not worth 60 dollars.

    Otherwise, let's start with the story. The only good character is Anton (voiced by giancarlo esposito), the rest are boring. I don't even remember them a week after playing the game.     Otherwise, let's start with the story. The only good character is Anton (voiced by giancarlo esposito), the rest are boring. I don't even remember them a week after playing the game. The only thing I do remember is that they are all so shoddily written, and they suffer from FC5's issue of too many characters. Remember when each of Joseph Seed's 3 lieutenants were different, and a good portion of the story missions was about taking them on directly? Ubisoft instead decided "nah, let's give each of them 2 scenes each, and just make the rest about our forgettable cast of characters".

    Now for the other thing that made me angry: Mechanics. I'm gonna shove 2 points together because this is becoming more of a college essay than a review. 1. getting guns. Have you ever wanted a specific gun in this game? well good luck, because crates are semi-randomized, and finding something as specific as an AK will take you way too long, and you can't buy it (you can buy some guns, but not NEARLY enough of them) because "the path of the guerrilla, we need to have you run around the map Dani and get every FNG crate". 2. Bases FC5 did good with this. Most of the areas you could find in free-roam that were obviously bases WERE take-over able bases. In 6 however, you have none of these, instead they're a story mission you haven't found yet, and there is a severe lack of the most fun thing to do in Far Cry 5.

    Finally, the thing that is the shortest, and a Ubisoft classic: terrible mission design. Most of the missions are just plain awful. So awful, my brain has blocked them out of my memory, and whenever i think about launching FC6 through epic, I immediately remember one terrible mission, and don't try a second play through. Sometimes it's just "go to these 3 places and press E at a specific place then fight some people", sometimes it's "fight some enemies in this arena", and sometimes it's the second one, but you're attacking instead of defending. These describe all the missions in the entire game. Far Cry 5 suffers from this too, but at least you could go find a base to destroy in between missions, or fly a plane around.

    Now, the only good thing about this game is co-op. That's why I gave it a 2 instead of a 0. I enjoyed playing this with a buddy, and much like 5 it's the best mechanic. other than this, the graphics are the same as 5, yet make my computer overheat more, the guns are more varied, but this hurts it since you can't just choose guns to buy, the obvious politics are annoying, the tanks are pretty fun, the call a vehicle option is also pretty cool, and the napalm is VERY nice. Just buy far cry 5 with your 60 dollars if you want it, or use your money on something else.    … Expand

    the charakters are so annoyingly bad, everthing is full with woke politics, dont like the rpg-mechanics the enemies are bulletspongy, overalls a worse experience than the last far cry games.
    the gunplay in the later gameand hit feedback feels good at least.
    PLEASE KEEP POLITICS AND RPG MECHANICS OUT OF FAR CRY GAMES UBISOFT!

    I am quite tolerant of sexual minorities and quite calmly look at the kissing men, but another important innovation in the game is worth mentioning as a separate point - a huge amount of gayness, lesbianism, all kinds of transgender, transsexual and trans-gay-lesbianism. They directly want to feed you throughout the game. In some places I just wanted to feel sick.

    NPCs are completely dumb at any difficulty level. Improvements and all kinds of craft - just for morons. The characters are dead, lifeless and completely brainless. The protagonist is an unabashed idiot.

    Ubisoft is raising the bar for template games, and I believe no studio can fall as high as they do. They are pretentious and majestic in their insignificance. The whole game is just a pre-release marketing campaign, where the old game from 2014 is snatched in a new wrapper.

    What a pile of garbage! An antagonist with no motivation, useless allies, whos only remarkable skill is being PC, utterly broken physics, the best AI in the world, and why, why did I tried it after finishing RDR2?
    But if somebody asked me, what I did not like the most, it would be district announcement. Like who the hell thought, that it will be a good idea to turn off map right before the turn?

    - The characters in the game are so extremely forgettable, unrelatable and out of touch with what's going on. It's about overthrowing a dictator which is a serious thing, yet we get these ridiculous allies less mature than my kids - totally breaks immersion.
    - The side content stuff has all been done before in previous games. Copy paste.
    - There are too many ammo types - I don't need poison and fire rounds for example. it just complicates things without reason.
    - The resource system is unnecessarily confusing. Why do I need to gather meds, gasoline, metal, gunpowder, yaran pesos etc etc... it's enough with 1 resource + money. Complicating things just for the sake of it serves no purpose.
    - Skill trees were removed which I don't understand. I want to start out being weak, then "earning" skills by playing the game.
    - The RPG mechanics with leveling system and weapon quality does not fit a Far Cry game in my opinion. I also don't want to have to think about using the right ammo type for all enemies I'm facing. Not realistic and breaks immersion.
    - I don't believe in the goal I'm fighting for. Like, one **** dictator to be replaced by the **** head maniacs on my side while also destroying the anti-cancer plants in the process? It's not a positive trade.
    - Main character is unrelatable.
    -AI is **** but they have aimbot

    Gets a 3/10 just because it looks kinda good and Gus is in it.

    For the next title, they have to take a serious look at what made Far Cry 3 so good, and take inspiration from that. Good villain, character was relatable because he was out of place but had to adapt to a crazy new situation. Good upgrade path, great story and obviously it felt fresh.    … Expand

The main disadvantage is the politicization of the game with propaganda of various **** throughout the game and in almost all in-game dialogues, contrary to the interests and wishes of the absolute majority of players. Namely, this is an aggressive propaganda of leftist pseudo-progressive (rather even satanic) values, such as feminism, lgbt, immorality, and so on.
    For me personally (a religious, conservative, young person (25 y.o.) from Russia) this is absolutely unacceptable.
    A few words about the scenario: there is a poor, conservative, united country with a bad economy.
    On the one hand, a legally elected president who creates jobs, maintains order, and knows how to lead a country out of poverty and devastation on a path to prosperity and development. He is cruel and makes unemployed lazy people and criminals to work, teaches them, including the history and culture of this country.
    And in real life it cannot be otherwise. Poverty, devastation and civil war can only be overcome by tough measures, the examples are the USSR and China of the 20th century, which similarly covered the path from poverty to prosperity in a short time. So that's OK in general.
    On the other hand, somewhere in the forest there are a bunch of disgruntled lazy people, drug addicts, drunkards, transgenders, gays, lesbians, etc. (most of them are also vegetarians and eco-psychopaths). They are ready to kill anyone who disagrees with them. They don't care about everyone around them. The main thing is that it was good for them not to work, but only to hang out, get drunk, be lazy and get only pleasure from life. And for this they are ready for anything, even terrorism against the majority. The fact that the developers made these bastards "good guys" is absolutely insane.
    As a result, at the end of the game, instead of a united country, we have a destroyed one, torn apart by various factions, poverty, death, chaos and complete devastation. Well, why was it necessary?
    It's especially remarkable how everything that happens in this game looks caricatured, deceitful, absurd and illogical. Especially this "awful evil and fascism", which the developers are urging to fight with ... it seems that the story of the game is copied from the pages of propaganda magazines of the early 20th century. The same stupid and primitive.
    In my opinion, this "evil" is much better than those whom our character is fighting for.
    If the developers cannot make bad people bad in this game, then they should have given a choice between the two sides at the beginning of the game. I would choose (like most people) the side of Anton Castillo to kill, burn and blow up all those rainbow-ass mad terrorist activists hiding in the woods.

    Don't waste your time and money on this ****ty game. This franchise has finally died.

    The game does have creative missions once you swallow the political stuff, but the overdramatic 'stealth' kills take way too long and often gain way too much attention, unlike how they were in previous installments.

    What was good or normal: Different outfits/clothes give different stats. Large selection of firearms. Very funny and interesting mini-game "Cock-fights". The design is quite normal for the shown location.
    What was wrong: Grind, grind, grind, GRIND!!! ...The same 5th part in a new visual wrapper. Even shot    Looter game with shooter elements... That is the most right description of FC6.

F***NG LEVEL NUMBERS!(to start adequately killing the enemy - each weapon needs to be upgraded to armor-piercing ammo and the special skill must be gained, who the hell decided that this thing from "New Dawn" is something interesting for the players???)... Auto leveling of enemies. I don't think it's generally bad, but they had to give that decision to players hands. I LOVE sniper-rifles. But I HATE when head-shot from that rifles make almost no damage only because of +1LVL or something like that. It's awful... Side-quests are not interesting empty events with very few exceptions... The storyline in the two regions with secondary bosses is absolute boredom with completely uninteresting characters. Only the eastern region can present interesting plot moments with veterans of the past revolution(D@mn, playing in the region of rappers and other near-media teenagers. I often caught myself thinking that if THESE are the representatives of freedom, it’s better to let that man-dictator remain. They all the time behaved like beaten off radicals in adolescent maximalism and a complete lack of any responsibility)... The main plot about the dictator and his son: a complete fiasco. The game had a lot of potential to unleash some interesting ideas from the trio of protagonist, dictator and his son, but this game completely f*cked up that potential... The most prescribed and motivated character in the game is a companion - rooster. He, at least, fully corresponded to himself, which was written in the description of his character. And he had adequate motivation, no matter how ridiculous it may sound.

    You always do the same. There is no need anymore to hunt, do side missions. Nothing makes a difference. It's just a boring gameplay loop with almost no real story. Also it makes no difference with which "Area" you start. Nothing that you do affects anyone or makes any difference.

    Another year, another once-beloved franchise turns into garbage.. The Far Cry series of games began to be made not for the quality of the game, but for the purpose of selling it, and the game inside in fact sucks completely - only the wrapper is beautiful for the lure. The only well-made cars are cars and their upgrades.

    I will say that by this method you lose a lot of fans in the future.

    Механика стрельбы мне понравилась, вождения более менее, мир чем то наполнен, некоторые миссии поиска сокровищ были очень интересными (Особенно с лодками).
    Не увидел механику лвл, потому что всегда был на 1 лвл больше нынешнего ранка локации. Но если бы я постоянно стрелял в голову по 5 раз, то оценка была бы в 2 раза ниже.    … Expand

Спавн врагов перед носом у ГГ, спавн твоего транспорта в 50 метрах от ГГ опять же из воздуха, бесполезное оружие(всю игру можно спокойно пройти с одним комплектом).     Plot and Direction,first of all the plot it is strangely told but it’s exist ( unlike FC5),and most of it carried by Antoń Castillo (Giancarlo Esposito) by his charisma and different appearance unlike Vaas, Pagan, Joseph, how’s he acts and what he does to make Yara a new paradise.But ending is forgetting all of these and says: Anton is sick that is why he kills his own son.On the other direction of the cutscenes is decent in main quests, and horrible in side quests.
    Also I need to admit that map is divided into 3 mini maps,that we already saw in FC5.In each region there’s own Villian, and group of civilians/ex-guerillas u need to help to made up their mind to fight at your side against Castillo.And here’s what I think of these regions:
    First Suggested Region of Farmers - trash, with uninteresting characters and primitive villain
    Second Region of Rappers - not good, not bad most of the characters are still trash but there’s a decent characters like Bicho or Bembe, Villians are interesting but flat.
    Third Region - amazing characters, female villain ( two scenes - First scene introduces here, second scene shows her dead body) , and McKay is the greatest villain of all regions because of his personality and motivation.    … Expand

    Из плюсов только стрельба и система модификации оружия.

Very few outposts and no stealth option (I mean you can but who cares if you can just drive tank and shoot everybody out. Weapons unlocking system was horrible and you could get the best gear at the start of the game. AI was simply stupid and advertised 'hunting' system just didn't work. It was bad to the point where me and my friend at the start of the game drove into f***ng capital, made mess and committed massive manslaughters along the way and we wouldn't get killed. Customized weapons which Ubisoft advertised so bad are weak and there is no point buying or using them.
    In one of the missions you had to prepare a f*** grill for those woke kids. In another you had to get drunk with some fatty. And in yet another one you drove for 5 minutes just to watch a cutscene. F**** bs. One big Shrek's dump.    … Expand

    This game is broken. Within 20 minutes of starting I lost all NPC dialogue audio. Glad I didn't pay for this and would not recommend buying unless Ubisoft fixes the game and Ubi Connect.

    If you played earlier Far Cry titles you know what to expect. Unpolished story and gameplay mechanics with an AI that belong in the early 2000s. If you can look past that you are going to have a few hours of fun with this one.

    Characters:
    I found myself getting really annoyed at most of the characters and even the protagonist Dani, but decided to finish the story to see what would happen with Antón and Diego.

    Weapons & Gameplay:
    I tried every weapon and while it's fun to one shot helicopters with blast rounds/arrows, or taking down an outpost without getting noticed it gets repetitive very fast.

    The Amigos system fell kinda flat for me, It had so much potential with cool companions, but I found myself dismissing them because they got in the way and did not really offer a great addition to my arsenal until I got Oluso who actually worked well with my playstyle.

    The Supremo Backpacks is a good addition to this game. I don't really have any negative to say about them, I tried all of them but ended up only using two and for the late game only the one from the Triada questline.

    Multiplayer:
    Tried some Co-op as well and it is really glitchy and not so smooth as I was hoping for.
    It felt like the game was rushed like many other titles from Ubisoft, and could have used another 6months in the cooker.

    Closing thoughts:
    This is not a terrible game I would not have finished it if it was, but as I wrote earlier it could have used 6months or more in the cooker just to polish mechanics, story beats and the AI to today's standards.

    Also, there are all kinds of mechanics that make this game more of an RPG, but a bad one. First of all, role-playing games with guns don't work because headshots should result in death and should not result in numbers flying off of your enemy head (and if you disagree with me, you're obviously wrong), but secondly and more importantly, Far Cry is supposed to be a first person FPS and not an RPG, but the devs will sneakily try to push their RPG mechanics on you anyway.

    The graphics are actually surprisingly bad. I am not complaining about that though, because the upside is that I am able to maintain 50+ fps on my laptop, but I can imagine that some people will be upset when they spend 1000 EUR on a new video card, turn all the settings to "ultra" and then they see a game that looks like it was released 5 or 10 years ago.

    15 months after release this game really surprised me. It's a good game, nowhere near the hateful user score here. Very nice graphics, very nice soundtrack, very good gunplay. I don't mind the bad AI or the slight repetitiveness. I even found the story quite fitting and not as cringe as expected, or as bad as in FH5. However, I would have liked to be able to upgrade and customize my gear15 months after release this game really surprised me. It's a good game, nowhere near the hateful user score here.     This is really disaapointing considering it's a full priced game. Feels like a complete reskin of every game since FC3.

    - Guy on island
    - something goes wrong
    - he can't leave island
    - asks locals for help
    - they ask him to do things in return
    - they get caught up with local gangs and factions
    - dictator / tyrant ruining poor people etc

    Additionally, this game is lacking in any talent features at all, a hideous gear system that's bulky and clunky, unresponsive menus, and worse of all, it actually takes away the aspect of having to interact with the world to gather items. E.g, when you kill an animal, there's no skinning, you just walk over it, same with ammo from enemies. The interactable objects in the world have extremely small and precise angles of interaction that make collecting things tedious as hell.
    The straw teat broke the camels back for me however, is this very strange decision to make certain areas of the world force you into 3rd person? I assume to make you want to spend money on buying the cosmetics for your character, but it makes no sense and has no warner or toggle feature.
    The characters don't stick around long enough to form any bond, and the one character that does only has the one gimmick about him that grows stale after the first few hours.    … Expand

    There was so much potential to tell a great thought provoking story, but instead, Ubisoft have chosen to tell the story about bunch of stupid tiktok SJW kids that somehow turns out to fight in Cuba type revolution

    User interface is very chaotic, it have nothing to do with other Far Cry games. Weapons are pretty crazy too, they are trying copy Fallout 4 weapons or I don't know.     Far Cry finally got rid of the most annoying bits (like the infamous towers), but that’s pretty much the extent of the series’ progress. Far Cry 6 doesn’t improve on the core concept in any way. Still, all the expected mechanics work as advertised and keep the game above the line.

    Far Cry 6 is a work that strives for progress while maintaining stability. There are ancestral gameplays of the series that have not been outdated, and some system optimizations and improvements that keep pace with the times. In general, it is still a familiar formula and a familiar taste.

    Upon reaching the end of this review, I’ve come away with a revelation. Yes, Far Cry 6 is the accumulated chemical detritus from years of similar lab experiments, layered and stratified, compounded with time and pressure. But it isn’t a catalyst. I am. I played Far Cry 6 to completion: I pressed buttons to shoot guns and progress the plot; I killed an inordinate number of animals to buy upgrades; I equipped new pairs of pants to make myself stealthier. And at the end of it all, I felt nothing. I was unchanged by the experience.
