What's the definition of a Ubisoft game - Releasing the same game over and over again and expecting people to be amazed by them.

It's just another Ubisoft game. It's the same game we've been playing for the past 9 years. Far Cry 6 is almost a carbon copy of Far Cry 5 with a different setting and a slightly better structured story missions. I'm just so tired of the Ubisoft open world

While I don't think Far Cry 6 is a BAD game, because calling Far Cry 6 a bad game means calling Far Cry 3 a bad game. It's just so similiar to it. The reason for the low score is that Ubisoft thinks that they can release the same game they made in 2012. it's just so uncreative, unoriginal, uninspired.

Worst release, although no studio is doing any good in the AAA class right now, it's just awful. The textures are soapy, the animations are disgusting, even the cut scenes have been replaced with some sort of trash heap from an MMO. Far Cry has always been pretty garbage gum, but this part even outperformed the second, which looks like a mobile craft ... This game is textbook example how to make bad video games.
    Graphics - 8.5 / 10
    Story - 2 / 10

    Innovations compared to previous game - 2 / 10
    Innovations or story that would justify part 6 - 0 / 10

Overall I rate the game negatively, I miss the Czech localization, I really don't understand this stupid move by Ubisoft! The graphics of the game, the story, the behaviour of the NPCs are very crappy. I recommend Ubisoft to take a break and not to create a series of repetitive games, for example Assasins Creed Origins was very good. As for the technical side I recommend Ubisoft to contact Naughty Dog studio to teach them how to make quality games.

I'm not even putting 1 point, but 0 points.
So this is, if not the worst game in the history of ubisoft, then for me, one of those.
Again, I would like to note the level of professionalism of ubisoft Designers. But Ubisoft doesn't want to learn anything. And they don't want to draw any conclusions... Again a huge world, this time just huge. Again, a bunch of identical tasks

Again, a bunch of identical tasks that turn into a routine after 30 minutes of the game.

Hey Ubisoft am I coming to the game to take my mind off the real world?
Or in order to work in the game?
    The second point is visible.

Do you all dream of playing multiplayer projects? So we would immediately make an MMO, a good, interesting, massively multiplayer game, so that hundreds of players in one scene at once. No?
And all your pumping, stripped-down animations, stripped-down physics, a dead world in the game and the lack of AI from opponents, would look at least somehow normal.

But as the years go by, the system requirements of games are increasing.

And the gameplay doesn't change. It just doesn't exist.
    It's just embarrassing.

Show your testers, programmers, designers FarCry 1 and FarCry2.
And having removed all the disadvantages of FarCry2, make a normal game already?
You looked at FarCry2 and removed the advantages, leaving the disadvantages. Hello, you got the places mixed up.

Games should be made by gamers, for gamers, if they don't know how to make them, at least take them for consultations.

Some of the gamers of the 60s are more experts in games. than your top managers.

With Claude Guillemot, couldn't you have made decent games before? Prince Persia, Rayman 3D, Beyond Good & Evil, Ghost Recon 2001, Splinter Cell, etc.
    Even the strategies were good.
    Where did it all go?
Where are the normal games? Normal gameplay?
Even now, just compare old and new games and old games will win on all points (except graphics). Even for new players.

Show these games to your developers? So that they inspire and feel the spirit of the former ubisoft.

How many huge maps can you have in a different setting?
With questions on the cards? With the same type and the same tasks scattered around the map?
With these levels and pumping that limit the game id.
And beautiful but soulless wild plants.
You even managed gameloft, which by modern standards made decent games.

Are the players not robots and soulless devices to perform the same actions over and over again, hoping for changes?

    It's not a game, it's a dummy.

I don't even know what else to add.
You don't even try, it's the same "quickie" as watch dogs legion when it feels like the programmers didn't even turn on the game and didn't try to play it. Only the design and decorations, but that's not enough for the game. And for the "entertain yourself" system, the world in the game should be at least a little alive. And it hurts me to look at it. If it wasn't for your games earlier, I probably wouldn't have become a gamer. But your modern games are a mirage and empty.

There are some bugs, yes. But if you are able to ignore those, then you will enjoy every second of FC6. FC6 is in my top 3 far cry

FC6 is in my top 3 far cry games, but I kinda miss the good old crafting and skill-point-system from FC 3+4. I miss the animal grind to get the best gear for ammo, syringes, inventory ect.

All in all I really enjoyed my time with it and I would strongly recommend if you are a fan of Far Cry.

The game is just bad. There is not one, but four currency systems. One is geared toward micro-transactions, or pay to win. The re-spawn rate is way too high. Stay in one area for an hour and you end up raking in an endless supply XP. A large portion of my XP was through blowing up cars and not by going on missions. If you you want to fly a helicopter you need a game-pad.

There has been a huge decline in the quality of games and it's not all because of the Pandemic. This is even worse than AC Valhalla. Also there's a mission where you find veggies for a vegan. I think we just need to start our own game studio since these big companies can't make good games anymore

Gameplay - Well if you have played FarCry 3, 4 or 5, then you will feel right at home here. Nothing has changed in the mechanics of the combat really, you get guns, upgrade the guns and shoot enemies. It is most definitely a fun time but if you have played all the entries of the series that I have, then you might be feeling a little burned out from it after a certain time playing this one. I adopted a stealth approach in this game and killed mostly with a suppressed sniper rifle, I found going all out combat made the game much more difficult so did my best to avoid it.

Differences - This game is mostly the same as the others. The new additions are backpacks called Supremos that have certain effects like missile launches or health packs, plus Resolver weapons which are quirky guns you can use, I honestly didn't care for this feature too much. There are also Amigos which are pets who can travel alongside you and fight with you, but again, didn't care much for it.

Visuals - This is a big win for me, I played on a fairly high end PC and felt the game looked absolutely gorgeous at times, particularly the landscapes which is when FarCry looks its best. Take a helicopter up into the sky and just look around, your jaw will drop, it is a stunning game. Everything on the ground looks good too.

Crashing - I wanted to follow with this as I mentioned having a high end PC but I did experience regular crashes, probably every few hours I would play, I would experience at least one crash and as frustrating as it was, it didn't completely sour my experience of the game. I am not sure how the consoles differ but it is something to just look out for if you are playing on PC.

Story - The story is basically the exact same thing, you will be doing everything that you were doing in the last games, which is try to free sections of land from a 2nd in command-type leader and taking them out, before eventually going up against the big baddie. In this case it is Anton Castillo who is played by the amazing Giancarlo Esposito, he steals the show whenever he is on screen and I immediately found myself becoming super focused whenever he would appear. I don't think its fair to compare him to other villains of FarCry as he is great in his own way. A big surprise is the main character - Dani, I played as the female version and she was fantastic, she has a great voice actor, is a bit cheeky and a badass, she was probably one of my favourite things from this experience, even just little things like her singing along to the radio music in the car was enough to win me over, very cute. I do feel we get a lot of time with other characters and not nearly as much time with Castillo, they are fine but nothing really to go crazy about, even the other main characters like Juan and Clara weren't all that interesting to me.

Side Quests - There are a lot of these. You will be doing outposts, artillery takedowns, ambushes and a variety of other things and I did all of these, it will take you a lot of time and I don't recommend doing this if you have played previous games unless you really want to, because I got burned out rather easily after a while because it is mostly the same in this game, and it is the same for all the previous games too. As for other side quests, like side stories, there are those as well and some are really fun and interesting, like a mission where you have to escape from a massive amount of juiced up roosters for example, however in the later end of the game the side quests felt very lazy, you get a few photos on your phone with no marker and you just got to go find a multitude of these particular things to complete it, it becomes very frequent on the third island and wasn't overly fond of it at all. There are also treasure hunts which were my favourite type of side quests, felt like Indiana Jones hunting through caves while finding lore along the way, good stuff.

Collectibles - There is a lot of stuff to collect, there are hundreds of chests to find that give guns and crafting items, there are roosters to obtain for cock fighting (didn't really care for that), plenty of sheets of paper containing lore etc. It will take you quite a long time to get everything and I didn't bother with the chests to be honest, it just wasn't worth the effort.

Final Rating - It is a fun game but my biggest complaint is that it just feels more like the same thing and I am a little over the formula. After 52 hours of game time, I am very much ready to move onto something else.

Well... For starters... What everyone already said plenty of times. The lack of the italian language for this version audio.
A ridiculous choice in my opinion, one dictated maybe from a business point of view but at the same time cannot be justified to the italian paying public. They should release a statement regarding this or Ubisoft could be very well labeled, yes I'm going to say the fatidic word, "Racist". Especially since they use various details ingame with italian roots and then disrespecting those with not even the acknowledgment of the average italian user/player for this game. Make at least an adjustment on the price for the italian market with a lower cost, but nothing... This is absurd, a shame and also totally embarassing from a company of such big caliber.
For the other stuff I'm also of the same opinion with the majority I have to say...
Regarding innovation... It looks like the same system/mechanics of all the Far Crys. Small/few changes here and there, graphic details maybe better (only because of the times, not in par with the level they should actually be, see the download of the HD Texture pack) characters boring, over-eccentric and not so funny anymore humor. If it was the first Far Cry game, it would be a pretty fun game, but they are just living from their past successes and propose again and again with different contexts/stories the stuff once again. Landscapes are not even that great, I was happy to see again an environment similar to the one for Far Cry 3 (my favourite game of the series), but I was disappointed also on that unfortunately. It is not satisfying for the shooting, bullets feeling is really bad and the AI level looks even more idiotic than in the past (how?). Fillers with too many time consuming side missions, a prerogative of Ubisoft games totally makes it worse, instead made for appreciating even more the game.
Regarding the story instead, it's good, not that innovative, famous people involved, acting good, but nothing worth it for the price. There was the possibility to choose the protagonist at the beginning Male/female, now a must and that's a plus for the actual times. As long as it doesn't feel forced on the narrative like almost usually is unfortunately. Nothing else comes to mind right now, but yeah. There are some bugs, but nothing major. The review is anyway not positive. Not worth buying it at this price or any other price and that's a shame. I was hyped and expecting something good. I was rooting for it, but I have to be honest and this is my opinion.

P.S. I know that everyone recognize the song for the "Burning" mission (ripetitive concept copied form FC3, also in a bad way, btw) as the one from the netflix show, but it is actually taken from the historically famous italian partizan song. An other reference from the Italian people, rewarded without the audio translated in their language though.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Far Cry 6 is a step down from Far Cry 5, somehow they managed to make it worse than previous installments, the game has no charm apart from maybe Anton Castillo and maybe Diego, you barely interact with them anyway, so that isn't really enough to make this game good.
The prologue is soooo good, I wish they made the whole game have the same feeling. You start with your friend Lita and Alejo (who get's shot after about two lines of dialogue), and you have to make your escape from Esperanza, this part of the game was so fun, you would feel terified, there was nothing you could do but run and hide through the sewers of the city. Esperanza feels like a vibrant city, full of culture and memorable people, only to be bullied by Castillo's military force. However, the feeling is gone once you finish the prologue, because Esperanza is literally empty in game except for scripted events, there's like two missions which send you to esperanza, and it's completely empty, the one where you storm Castillo's speech at the hotel, and the final mission, the only people you see other than those two missions are military, which of course are hostile towards Dani.
Soon after the prologue, you meet Carla, which is a somewhat well written character, you can feel attached to her and her cause, only because she's on screen for 5 minutes for the whole game, yeah. You see her at the start, before departing to "unite" all the guerilla factions in Yara, and she only shows up once you convinced all the factions to join Libertad. She is there for a few cutscenes, nothing more, her story is somewhat tragic, but we don't interact with her enough to feel sad or anything, I just felt dissapointed when her story tragically ended.
After meeting Clara, you meet Juan, which the writers tried to make the funny guy, however he didn't really strike me as much, sometimes he's funny, sometimes he's just annoying, however that's probably just my opinion, one of my friends likes him, so there's that. He's memorable, probably the second or third most memorable character in this game.
The story slowly advances as you "free" more of Yara, by free I mean you take out checkpoints and 20 FND outposts, they are the same as outposts in older games. The only reason you would go out of your way to clear the checkpoints is to deal with the road spikes, because, once you free them, the military presence in the area remains the same, some even use the checkpoint you just liberated, that has blue flags with "Libertad" written all over them, this shouldn't be a surprise, seeing as the AI in Far Cry has always been horrible, there's also random events with AI but they are really dumb, like, there's a car that's broken down on the side of the road with a couple bystanders, you can get 20 Yaran Pesos if you repair it for them, however, once you aproach them with your car the NPCs will get scared and run, even if you drive slow.
There are 3 (or maybe 4 if you want to count them like that) factions that will join Libertad, Monteros, Maximas Matanzas, Legends of '67 and La moral which share the same territory and join at the same time so you don't really have to go out of your way to make them join. Now, I fell as all of them ar well written, except for some characters, except for the Monteros, they have their good points in the story, but there's a mission when you're supposed to kill Jose Castillo (Anton's nephew) and, he wants to hang Alejandro Montero for whatever reason, I guess he just woke up and decided to do that, he was a scientist for them before but I guess he is getting hanged now, and at his hanging, his father rides on a horse, and cuts his noose with a machete, and he notices that Alejandro has a C4 strapped to his hands, and he then proceeds to cut the C4 loose from him, throw Alejandro of the horse, and ride away with the C4 and "die heroically". Like... what? It would've been easier to just throw the C4 away. They just wanted to create some drama I guess. Maximas Matanzas are pretty well written and I like Paulo and Paz, Talia is a little crazy but she's still a great character, you also meet Bembe, which is a good character, a little crazy, but he makes sense at times. Same goes with the Legends of '67, and the death of El Tigre and Jonron actually felt sad.
But the ending was the biggest letdown of the whole game, you find out from Juan that Carla has accepted to meet with Castillo, he told her the war was over, he was dying of Leukemia, and that there's no more reason for war. You and Juan have to storm Isla de Leon, Castillo's Private Island to have a chat with him. You sit down with them at the table, some forgettable dialogue, and then Juan wants to shoot Diego, you save him, and Anton kills Carla. Big sad. I guess, you then storm Esperanza with Libertad and all the friends you made along the way, but you don't get to kill Castillo, as he kills Diego and then kills himself. Really dissapointing that Giancarlo Esposito played in such a story.

Already there is no respect for Italians in general, just to save Ubisoft , as on the game, which looks just lame on gameplay in general, as well as forget about Italy in general.

Game plot was invented by retarded Ubisoft schoolchildren, no more than that...

In the game a lot of things, like cars, have no variety, AI intelligence looks repetitive as a clone.

But here to release and sell the subsequent DLC, YOU Ubisoft, strength and mind found!?

I do not understand ubisoft, to make such a lousy game production, no diverse world on a huge map, the police of the same face, little choice of vehicles, the story is so stupid and ugly that wrote it stupid moron.
You still suggest a follow up DLC, for the crazy money, to the existing it sucks.

Far Cry finally got rid of the most annoying bits (like the infamous towers), but that’s pretty much the extent of the series’ progress. Far Cry 6 doesn’t improve on the core concept in any way. Still, all the expected mechanics work as advertised and keep the game above the line.

Far Cry 6 is a work that strives for progress while maintaining stability. There are ancestral gameplays of the series that have not been outdated, and some system optimizations and improvements that keep pace with the times. In general, it is still a familiar formula and a familiar taste.

Upon reaching the end of this review, I’ve come away with a revelation. Yes, Far Cry 6 is the accumulated chemical detritus from years of similar lab experiments, layered and stratified, compounded with time and pressure. But it isn’t a catalyst. I am. I played Far Cry 6 to completion: I pressed buttons to shoot guns and progress the plot; I killed an inordinate number of animals to buy upgrades; I equipped new pairs of pants to make myself stealthier. And at the end of it all, I felt nothing. I was unchanged by the experience.
