    A very good game in which you can get stuck for many hours. The developers have tried and made something cool. Building these logistic chicks is fun, but it might not be for everyone. The graphics match the game, there shouldn't be anything better or prettier. This is even more difficult for a small indie studio. But it doesn't matter, the game is just as good.     The game is amazing and will offer you gazillion hours of playtime if you're the right person for it. Only problem I have is that the game doesn't explain half the things you need to know to make it fun. If I didn't have a friend explain it to me I sincerely doubt I would have enjoyed the game nearly as much

    I just love this game. I played it over 2500 hours and still love it like the first time I have seen it on YouTube.
    In its core Factorio is a factory building game. It gives you easy tools like inserters which grab items and belts which move them and they can be combined in endless creative ways to build bigger and more complex factories. A big difference to other games is that you can easily build very big factories and still maintain performance and actually do research with those materials.
    The game has very good modding support since day one and the modding community came up with very great mods which can overhaul the game and make it more complex or easier by adding convenience functions.

    11/10. This game is a drug. Please don't play it, it's addictive.

    Jokes aside, this game is the most fun I've had in ages. You can program basically everything. The lore, atmosphere, difficulty is just on point. It's like minecraft in a foreign planet.

    its trailers really detract from 'what' the game is- as it is difficult to communicate that, even with a video showing you the actual game. its a 2d game about strategy, planning, management, logistics, balance, and automation, all rolled into a fun symphony. and if that wasn't enough for you, there's aliens that are angry you're on their planet and will    this game is such a treat.

    its a 2d game about strategy, planning, management, logistics, balance, and automation, all rolled into a fun symphony. and if that wasn't enough for you, there's aliens that are angry you're on their planet and will try to destroy your base.

    it can be very complex in its execution, and i strongly recommend having a fellow veteran player nearby to show you the ropes without crushing your creativity, as a new player will get math headaches playing this game and really thinking about it. it can be overwhelming, and this is perhaps also a slight detractor for the game, as it will only really appeal to people who want to peel back the layers and be determined to 'guess and check' so to speak.

    everything in the game is customizable, adding a ton of quality of life. modding is simplicity itself, and the full set of tools is available from the dev website. browsing mods is done through in-game menu, and installation is a breeze.

    your game-play loop is to construct a factory to build a rocket to take you back up into space, where supposedly you can be safe, or something. leave the planet. that kind of thing. and getting there depends on you.

    there are no 'wrong' answers in factorio, simply less efficient answers.

    at first, you must mine some ore and coal by hand to get your first few basic systems running. after that, you'll have hydrocarbon miners to mine ore for you as you move it to the areas it needs to be.

    and then soon, electronic systems take their places, automated trains, drones, and transport belts are all there to mass transport your products to the next phase of refinement.

    will you run a balanced factory, an overproduction factory, a highly organized alphabetic production system, or a factory that just works? it's all up to you.

    once your factory build starts to reach a certain point, it begins to reduce your frame-rate, but most players will never see this. you have to be producing over 1M per hour of almost every product, and have a large integrated rail system to start reaching this point. you may reach this point sooner if you have enemies enabled. (yes they can be disabled, almost anything can be disabled. its a true sandbox builder.)

    from a code standpoint, i have never had this game crash with its default install, and it is one of the most technically sound pieces of software i've had on my system. it barely sips your pc power, and settings are available to help it run on systems with lower specifications. like if you use a laptop for travel, factorio can give you some diversion without destroying your wallet.

    Very impressive and interesting game. It is really not for everybody and can get a bit tedious and exhausting. But you will probably go back after a break... It's very hard to let go.

    I reserve 10's for the best of the best and I considered it.

    Logistic simulation gone mental. Graphics are crazy bad, but that is not why I play. I play to build.

    Ever see Fraggle Rock as a kid? Those little dudes that keep building and you don't know why? This is worse.

    Unlike my social life since I found this game, the factory must grow.

    I've played many automation/colony builder games and there is nothing as deep and complex as this game. A single playthrough can easily be 200 - 300 hours long if you're actually trying to "finish" the game, but the reality is it's pretty much endless and that's before you even get into mods.

    le seul problème de factorio est son manque d'histoire et en ce qui me concerne, le fait qu'une fois que j'ai trouvé une bonne façon de fonctionner, le jeu ne m'intéresse pas assez pour l'améliorer et donc je la répète en boucle. A part ça, le jeu m'a procuré plus d'un millier d'heures de fun.

    I have only played 8 hours, which is nothing compared to most people in this game, but I am enjoying it so far. Very engaging in how you automate everything and how you're always thinking of how to make it more efficient. Would recommend to anyone to try. Also, it's only 3 gigs.

    Been playing this since the Steam EA release, absolutely the best devs in the world. The game itself is addictive as hell, but also great for kids as it's quite educational. Positive and helpful community as well. My #1 game of All Time.

    Extremely addicting game with amazing developers that are constant contact with the community and release updates more often than any others Ive seen. Because of the fantastic modding community, the game offers basically an infinite amount of gameplay. The only bad thing i can think about this game is that it can mess with your real life because it is so addicting.

    Game is only good for a few thousand hours. After that it begins to get stale. Then you install mods.

    10 out of 10 would not recommend if you value personal relationships, maintaining a healthy sleep cycle , and not being fired from your job.

    I finished this game once.
    Vanilla game are great I used about 40 hours to finished my first run. Most of the times I solving space problems, plan for a new factory, optimize old factory, kill an alien with turret creep, shotgun some tree, crafting a thing that never use in forever, train traffic jam, more iron, crashed my vehicle into the wall and eat some pole. inventory full, trying to stand on belt and see where is the end of the line, get frustration with circuit network, factory must grow and play with mods can expand play times from hundreds to thousands hours.    … Expand

    I have personally spent 800 hours playing Factorio, and in my opinion this is by far one of the best games I have ever had the the pleasure of playing. I cannot wait to play another 800+ hours. The Dev’s support with bug fixes is incredible and the outstanding Mods that are available can increase play time four fold. It’s even got a free to play demo.

    This game is great. It includes a an astonishing amount of game-play and great mod support. I already played over 300 hours and just scratched the surface of the game. The development team is responsive and interacts with the community.

The game will ease you into complexity while maintaining a sandbox open-ness. Problems arise naturally and can be solved in many different ways. There will always be something to do, some improvement to make or bottleneck to resolve or resource patch to claim. Public and private multiplayer keeps the game fresh while allowing both cooperative and competitive playstyles.

    Logistics are the core of the game: moving things, processing them and moving them again. You'll have choices including robotic arms, conveyor belts, trains and logistics robots. There is no cost but time if you decide to tear things up and rebuild them, so do not be afraid to build now and fix mistakes later. On top of that transportation is a layer of control. On one end of the complexity scale you can use none at all, simply allowing resources to flow naturally. On the other end, you can use the Turing-complete logic circuits to sense and react to conditions, route trains, enable or disable parts of the factory and more.

    Most people 'beat the game' by launching their first rocket in 40 to 60 hours depending on playstyle, but that's just the beginning. Speedrunners can complete the task in under two hours. Many players, myself included, have over a thousand hours of playtime. After your 'victory' you can choose to continue your factory, improving in scale and automation while facing different types of logistics challenges that emerge naturally from the game's design and your own choices. Some choose to play with different settings, run player-made scenarios or add mods with varying levels of complexity. Others use the game as a sandbox to build weird or interesting projects.

    This game was release-quality three years ago, but the devs insist on excellence and also wanted to have a full set of high-resolution graphics. They have relentlessly optimized and bugfixed their way to an incredibly high-quality release that runs smoothly even on older hardware. They actively support the modding community, including fixes, enhancements and optimizations that only affect modders. They are also very up-front about what they are doing and why, often sharing interesting technical details few other companies would discuss.

    The player community is positive and welcoming, both on the official forums and on Reddit. A variety of free tools and guides are available. Several people such as Nilaus and KatherineofSky have Youtube "let's play" series covering the game, so if you want you can watch someone else impose order on the chaos. Увлекает, затягивает и держит, особенно в самом начале было, когда еще не было кучи готовых чертежей что для меня немного испортило игру, гораздо интереснее было придумывать свои схемы конвейеров сидя в экселе.     I'd like to note that this is absolutely not everyone's cup of tea. Rather than reading the reviews and saying "yeah, 9.3 user score, must be really good, instant buy", don't.     Tak gra naprawdę wciąga! Za pierwszym podejściem co prawda nie przebrnąłem przez podstawy, ale ostatnio zabrałem się za nią na nowo i już mam kilkaset godzin za sobą :-) ciągle jest coś co jeszcze można zoptymalizować

    This is the number 1 greatest game of all time. 10/10 would be an insult to how mind-blowing this game is. all the negative reviews are just Russians review bombing.

    Fantastic game. Well worth the playtime invested in the game. Never felt like I wasted time playing. Its also sandbox so it allows variety and replayability which many games lack.Beginning, Middle, and Endgame all great. Never mind the cringe spam negative reviews, actual gamers don't care about politics. We just want good games.

    One of the best games I have played. I spent at 100 hours before beating it. I hope they create an expansion so I can get back into it

    This is a jewel. An unbelievably clever, thought-out, detailed, balanced, fun, brilliantly designed masterpiece that really doesn’t have any drawbacks at all. If you like to build and optimize, you simply have to play Factorio.
