CNET GamecenterPretty and promising, "F1 World Grand Prix" stands as a good middle ground between arcade and simulation open-wheeled racing.
-
If you have a wheel/pedal setup, a high end PC and take your racing Sims seriously, F1 World Grand Prix is difficult to recommend.
-
Although some nagging little problems persist here, such as oversensitive brakes, imperfect artificial intelligence, and substandard sound effects, none detract enough from the enjoyment of the racing experience to ruin it.
-
It's just a bad representation of real-life F1 racing, especially compared with EA's earlier "F1 2000."
-
A fairly well-developed game. It looks great and is to some degree fun to play. There is however, little that is new to racing games.
-
PC GamerA mildly entertaining but distinctly clumsy attempt at a Formula One game. [Oct 2000, p.127]
-
If a game doesn't bring anything new to the table, one must wonder why the developers even bothered in the first place.
