You might be left feeling like F1 25 is playing things a bit too safe and not taking any risks. BUT who can blame Codemasters for coasting behind a safety car when they have no direct competition.

The developers of F1 25 have clearly learned from the mistakes of the previous instalment. The game is definitely reminiscent of the golden days of the series - offering Formula 1 fans the most complete and polished instalment in years.

F1 25 takes everything the series has been doing over the last few years and tweaks it to improve the experience. A must for fans and newcomers alike.

Currently the best Formula 1 racing game thanks to an entertaining story and a greatly expanded My Team career.

F1 25 remains a game designed to please a specific niche: motorsport enthusiasts and, above all, Formula 1 fans. The return of the Braking Point mode adds some appeal for those looking for something a bit more “outside the box,” and ultimately, it also serves as a solid entry point for newcomers. However, the other modes are virtually unchanged, with only minor updates—something long-time annual players are already very familiar with.

F1 25 is a step in the right direction for the Formula 1 series of games, which has been disappointing us for a while. The revamped My Team mode, the third chapter of the Braking Point story, improved controls, and an increased number of lidar-scanned tracks are some of the reasons to buy the game. However, I wish Electronic Arts had spent the time they used developing the option to race in reverse on F1 tracks, on simplifying the game menu instead...

F1 25 represents a nice evolutionary step forward in the series, it's not a leap, but a step in the right direction - it expands the modes to include links to the upcoming film, adapts My Team to a management form, and most importantly improves the driving physics.

F1 25 is a solid entry in the series, making clear progress in the visual department and introducing meaningful improvements to the handling model, especially for those using a steering wheel. The enhanced track detail and the full integration of Icons into Career and My Team modes enrich the gameplay experience. The return of Braking Point, with its engaging narrative and well-executed motion capture cutscenes, also adds depth to the overall package. However, the game doesn't mark a true revolution compared to F1 24. Some core mechanics remain largely the same, and while the driving physics are more refined, they still fall short of delivering a true simulation feel. New features like the Invitationals mode add variety but don’t significantly impact the overall formula. This title is best suited for fans of the series and Formula 1 enthusiasts who will appreciate the technical and narrative upgrades, even if the generational leap feels only partial.

As is often the case with the F1 license stamped by EA and Codemasters, the installments follow one another but are not really similar in content. Because this year, Breaking Point is back and the next F1 film are highlighted to revive the story-driven interest of the saga. Good one-off contributions, even if for the long term, we will rather remember the Career mode which goes a little further than previous years. Even if it does not really renew its gameplay and its graphics, F1 25 remains solid for an official simulation and accessible for neophytes.

A game for F1 fans and beginners: With a good handling model and a lot of content, Codemasters brings the success back to the Formula 1 franchise.

F1 25 is a good game, make no mistake about that. With a near flawless presentation, improved my team mode, and additional features, there's a lot to do. There are a few pitfalls here and there, but nothing that takes away from what is another genuinely good release by Codemasters.

While the realistic racing genre often comes with a steep learning curve, EA Sports F1 25 makes a solid effort by offering high-quality driving assists and alternative content to deliver a positive experience for newcomers, while also polishing in-game details that seasoned gamers will appreciate. Combined with all official circuits, real driver names, and the return of Braking Point mode, it stands out as a highly recommended title for anyone who loves Formula 1.

I was a bit disappointed that abandoning the previous generation of consoles didn't bring the kind of generational leap in quality that many people were probably hoping for. Nevertheless, F1 25 is an improved version of F1 24 in every respect, with the improved driving model and path tracing on PC standing out in particular. We'll probably have to wait for the real revolution until F1 26, which will have to reflect the huge changes related to the new regulations in Formula 1. In the meantime, I recommend giving F1 25 a chance.

Despite the desire to renew, F1 25 fits coherently into the path traced by the previous chapters of the series and this is not necessarily a bad thing. Despite the many new features announced and a renewed commitment to the presentation of the career mode, the overall experience remains in line with what has already been seen in recent years. The game mechanics are familiar, the driving model is similar to that of the latest iterations of the brand and the general rhythm of the seasons faithfully follows the consolidated one. The innovations introduced - such as My Team 2.0, the technical restructuring and the new chapter of Braking Point - enrich the package, but do not significantly revolutionize the structure of the game. The result is a solid and complete title, which offers many things to do for a credible and deep experience, but without representing a real break from the past. F1 25 therefore confirms itself as a controlled evolution, rather than a revolution, designed not to disappoint those who play the series continuously and appreciate its now well-established formula.

F1 25 marks an improvement over the previous installment, featuring new content and a more in-depth My Team mode. The LIDAR scanning has made some tracks much more realistic, though the disparity with those that haven't been updated is noticeable. As for Braking Point, once again, the developers have opted for a highly dramatized approach to Formula 1, resulting in a simplistic and somewhat unrealistic narrative. The driving model remains largely unchanged, offering a good balance between arcade and simulation.

F1 25 offers a stronger driving experience and greater attention to detail than its predecessors, with major changes to My Team breathing new life into the mode. It's not a revolution, but it's undoubtedly Codemasters' best F1 game in years.

EA Sports F1 25 returns with the passion of Formula 1, but more as a routine formality than as an innovative proposition striving to succeed on its own merits. It may represent standard fare in sports games, yet it leaves behind a lingering bitterness over what might have been. The title boasts an efficient graphics engine, delivering optimal performance to showcase some of the most iconic races in the world of motorsport. Additionally, it offers a broad range of modes by blending the traditional Career mode with the unlimited service of F1 World. Overall, EA Sports F1 25 is a decent offering—if somewhat too derivative.

Progress has definitely been made since last year, no doubt about it, but we're still not convinced F1 25 is worth the price of admission for returning players. The handling, AI, and visuals have all seen minor improvements, and there’s no shortage of content, with singleplayer additions that may appeal to less competitive fans. There are incentives to upgrade, but mostly if you’re passionate about the sport and enjoy wheel-to-wheel racing, eager to stay up to date with the driver roster and follow the community. Otherwise, unless you're a big fan of Braking Point, you're not missing much. Could more be done? Absolutely. But for an annual release, we can’t expect miracles. Maybe with the 2026 regulation shake-up, we'll finally see something really new. Who knows.

Wonderfully authentic, but it's too familiar, cumbersome with a pad, and the career management is unusually tedious.

Veterans of the series should only consider F1 25 if they're specifically interested in the expanded My Team mode or invested in the next chapter of Braking Point. Otherwise, if you're satisfied with F1 24, there's no pressing reason to upgrade this year.

You're hardly reinventing the wheel here, and were it not for Braking Point and the new LiDAR-scanned tracks, it would in all honesty be hard to recommend F1 25 to anything but the most dedicated. And at the risk of sounding like a broken record, my final conclusion is much the same as last year. Does there need to be a new F1 every year? No, absolutely not.

F1 25 is better than its predecessor, sure, but Codemasters needs to step up their game. The My Team Career Mode shines, but Braking Point 3 features a very weak story, F1 World feels abandoned, and there’s a lack of meaningful new content. It’s fun and accessible, but also conservative.
