The visual and driving improvements, compared to F1 2014, are more than obvious, but the game still lacks some crucial aspects, such as safety car, smart penalty system and more aggressive and intelligent behaviour for drivers controlled by CPU. Also, all the content and the ideas that Codemasters already has in its hands from previous installments (Career mode, Practice objectives, Classic mode, Diamond races, Champions mode and previous circuits, such as Hockenheim, Valencia, Nurburgring, India, Korea, Instanbul) must make their return in F1 2016.
  2. Engine upgrade gave F1 two things to brag about: prettier visuals and new physics that make driving more challenging and fun. But game pays for that upgrade with poor optimization and all too straightforward AI. [Sept 2015, p.75]

Good Formula One racing sim, but with lots of wasted potential regarding features, penalties and damage midel.

F1 2015 offers the best driveability in the series yet, but really falls short with all the content missing from previous years. No career mode, come on? No safety car? [Aug 2015]

The best on the track but the weakest everywhere else, F1 2015 is an inconsistent lapper.

If only the racing in F1 2015 was free of technical issues, had slightly better graphics and a better damage system, the game would stand on its own and wouldn't need additional gameplay modes (which aren't there). Right now F1 2015 looks more like an early access game that someday will become great. The biggest asset is having the current season in the summer and not later during the year.

If you just want to speed around tracks for a season, then fans will find entertainment here, but really, when it comes down to it, it’s probably best to wait for next year’s release where, hopefully, missing content is back to bring this great racing engine up to par with the quality of game modes that were once a feature of this franchise.

No matter how fun a game is, or how hard the developers worked on it, I can’t recommend someone buy a title that doesn’t work.

A paltry offering of game modes and online issues really overshadow the many good things about F1 2015. As expected, the game looks and plays better than its earlier iterations, but it's just not a substitute for substance and functionality.

F1 2015 is an incredibly frustrating game, representing both a wonderful step forward and a massive stumble.

Not the properly polished F1 game we've been waiting from Codemasters for a long, long time.

F1 2015 is bland, full of bugs, and mediocre looking. It's hard to recommend this game even for the most dedicated F1 fans.

Codemasters' F1 2015 racer falls far behind the pack this year due to a lack of expected features.

THIS IS A JOKE. just like this game. Consider this as -10

I don't know why some people rate 10 each and every game in Metacritic. Whats the point spamming and harming people? Be real.
Why developers(annual titles devs) aiming for next-gens ripping off features? If Improving graphics and limiting features you call next gen transformation, Then i don't need this type of game.

I own all of Codemasters previous F1 games (with the exception of 2014), and by comparison F1 2015 is far from the complete overhaul many ofI own all of Codemasters previous F1 games (with the exception of 2014), and by comparison F1 2015 is far from the complete overhaul many of us hoped for. The graphics, as always, are excellent, but it's still a game that doesn't quite know what it wants to be - a pure simulation or an arcade racer? For the serious sim-racer there's very little on offer; whilst the cars handle well, setup options are extremely limited. Look at all those fancy dials and switches on the steering wheel - guess how many are actually functional? Career-mode, one of the most enjoyable aspects of the previous games, has been completely excised. Given the potential of a genuine F1 sim, it's disappointing how little depth there is; there's little to offer in the way of longevity. Add to that a few graphics glitches, the occasional lag (even on a high-end video card), and it all amounts to same-old, same-old. Wait until it's $20 on Steam... Full Review »
