Off the top, the graphics are interesting, but overall not compelling. Scan lines might dredge up nostalgia glasses for some people, but when I see them forced, I see them a lazy shortcut. The controls are pretty tight on the jumping and movement side, but the rock-throwing (only weapon I found) range, arc, and purpose all fall flat.
When you start the game, you are presented with a green and blue wooded landscape and a few simple ledge obstacles to jump up and down, but once you get past the starting area, be prepared for unforgiving leaps of faith one after the other unless you are presented with the information that you can duck for a few seconds to get the camera to move down...every time you fall to a new platform and need to know where you should fall.
I would have given this game less but the graphics are neat and that's worth something.
