    Evolve is a massive cash cow and a disgrace to gaming, it has anti consumer practices like day 1 DLC and a "PC Monster race edition" that adds nothing but more DLC, this game feels really empty without all the DLC and paying EXTRA to get features THAT WERE IN THE GAME IN THE FIRST PLACE is bullsh*t.

    Now that's out of the way how about the gameplay?     Now that's out of the way how about the gameplay? Well it's decent at best, it gets very repetitive very quickly as the game only features one gamemode, YES I know there's more, but the only gamemode that anyone plays is Hunt while the others are never touched. Playing as the monster is kinda cool, but it should have been in first person, so I had an idea who I was killing. Playing as the hunters was boring for me because all of the characters feel like carbon copies of other FPS classes, except the Trapper who is unique.

    The story? It's terrible ESPECIALLY THE ENDING, and the game has next to new character, all of the characters are all bland and boring.

    The graphics while amazing, you do need a powerful PC for it to run on max settings, overall the world of Evolve looks great!

    Overall Evolve is a massive cash cow and a disgrace to gaming, plus I predicted that this game would suffer the same fate as Titanfall in my steam review, "Hyped with lots of DLC, dies within a month" and I was right, right now in the time of this review the original Killing Floor had more players (And it's dieing because of Killing Floor 2 and the lack of new content) then Evolve, that's a joke, like this game and it's precious DLC life support.

    Whenever you see 2K publish or Turtle Rock Studios develop a new game, just remember they shat out this massive lazy cash cow, and don't fall into the same trap, especially 2K, they love chopping up content and selling it as DLC, look at Borderlands 2, the Pre-Sequel and the Sid Meier's games, look at all that DLC they sell, and it's getting worse.    … Expand

    OK, i dont like this game at all, it is like working in MS EXCEL, everyone says that it is cool, but u dont really know what to do there cause it is so damn boring...

    A metascore of 79 on this lame-duck means metascores are for sale.

    Cool concept on paper. Happy to see a game trying something new. It just didn't work and the price-tag is outrageous for the content of the game. The game is boring.     Even if all the extra monsters and classes had been included in the $60 US release then it still would not have enough content. It's not like they had to write their own game engine. Time to hire a new business team.

    a good game locked behind 100 dollars of dlc with an already base price of 60 dollars its frankly pityful that they decided to put a good game into a basically free to play format but still make you pay up front, it had the potential to be good

Then there is a season pass in worth of 20$ and you get a extra monster if you preordered the game and didnt wait for a price drop. So you have to pay over 200$ to get the full game. This game symbolizies everything what is0, because you don't even get the full game if you pay the full price. This game costs 60$+ there are dlc in worth of 130$, which are not part of the season pass!.     Where to start. Ok. This is the single worst purchase on steam EVER! Game performance is terrible as turtlerock is turning a shoulder. The repetitive nature of the game gets boring FAST! Where are the other modes of multiplayer? Are we suppose to pay more for those? If you search any forums about this game you will find performance issues, DLC issues (which is very shady this early), andWhere to start. Ok. This is the single worst purchase on steam EVER!     It was nothing short of a scam. They stole $60 from everyone who bought the game. Congratz leechers you get a free game and you are happy about it because some one else payed for it.

    Worst DLC Strategy ever! Game is fun but then they decided to slap the hands that feed them. Pay $100 and you get the full game!. If they wanted to charge for the large assortment of skins like this, then it should have been a freemium game.

    Day 1 DLC, just NO! All DLCs cost more than the game itself. This is unacceptable. Period.

    bought it and was treated to $130 worth of DLC not included in the game..
    the game is a DLC scam ..
    gameplay is maybe 5 there's no campaign no real replay after about a day ..
    Just Turtle Rock cashing in on the name they had after making L4D ..

    This game is really for a niche market, but it was hyped for everyone. If you liked multi player in giants Citizen kabuto you will like this game and monster play is really good. The main problem of this game is pricing and WTF DLC garbage.

    I have been playing it during alpha and i liked it despite the fact that it felt more like a mod than a whole game. Anyway it was something new, mmorpg boss fighting with shooter like mechanics and i wanted to have it to my collection. Also it felt awesome that they gave the game to players for free to test rather than hyping us with screenshots and enhanced gameplay. Now i went back to check it out, to see if they had any success with this dirty money milking scheme and all i could find was that there are 682 players online and that they "shipped out" (not sold) 2.5 million copies. Promising product, bad marketing - total failure. Just so you understand how much they failed with this one, most reviewers on steam did not play it for more than 5 hours. I have the options to review it on steam, since i have played it on Alpha and it says that the game is in my library, but when i try to post my review there, i get a red error message. They try to censor negative reviews as much as possible. Stay away from these people and their games. I will refuse to play this game even if it will go free and money will be given for playing it. It was a very upsetting experience. I hope this company will go out of business and out of gaming industry forever and serve as an example for everyone who tries to **** us like this.… Expand

    The DLC on release they've added to this is insulting and cold bloodedly corporate. It's a shame to see 2K go the way of EA. Last time I buy one of 2Ks products too. Corporate *****.

    You pay the large price for the rite to unlock the DLC. You don't even get what you pay for right out of the box. Day 1 DLC is disgusting practice. Fortunately I was able to get a refund.

    The in game shop (just like one of a free to play title) is a bad joke for a full price title and the "exclusive pre order monster" will be buyable for 15€...

    Its a repetitive game, have few players on PC. Has the most overpriced DLCs i've already seen. And to get even worst, the balances that had happened don't fiz the bugs, but always nerfs the hunters and makes the mosnters even more overpowered. So...Don't worth buying this.

    Was looking forward to trying this game out, however it wont run on my GTX860m so i guess i wont be testing it after all. My laptop runs Dying Light on Medium/high smoothly but I guess this game is too advanced. A shame they cant make games anymore, guess i will join the console scrubs from now on.

    The game costs way too much for what is offered. 2K killed this one, and I choose not to support ridiculously priced DLC. I hope you choose not to stand for overpriced madness that is killing games these days.

    Now, the details. People are **** in reviews about day-1 dlcs. Well they are plain wrong: there is NO day-1 dlc, there are a few cosmetic    Firstly let's get one thing straight. Evolve is a true AAA title and the most innovative shooter in several years. It's addictive as crack and as replayable as any MOBA, if you like competitive games - go for it. It's worth every buck of its price.
    Now, the details. People are **** in reviews about day-1 dlcs. Well they are plain wrong: there is NO day-1 dlc, there are a few cosmetic items (skins), and the default skins look gorgeous enough that you should feel no urge to buy anything, unless you're a hipster. These items actually cost less than any cosmetic in DOTA or LOL. 4-th hunter and monster tiers are indeed not in the game and a dlc, but guess what? They're not done yet! There is *no* dlc for gameplay content at this moment (there may be preorders for later such content).
    While your enjoyment of the game surely will depend on team composition, like in any multiplayer game, the matches are fast and action-packed enough that you will never feel frustrated if you team sucks. Matches are limited by 20 minutes, most of them end within 10 minutes. Hell, I often end the match in 6 minutes! So you should never experience that excruciating DOTA-style rage against your teammates. If they suck, then you will just quickly loose and find another team. I almost always play solo and I find it pretty enjoyable, especially if everyone can use a mic.
    Most maps are actually larger than in L4D2. They are not a maze like in L4D2 but an open space with obstacles, thus you can run around them much faster, but there is still plenty of space to hide and seek. Hell, sometimes playing as a hunter I feel like there is *too much* space! A good monster can easily hide indefinitely and it takes an equally good hunter to find it. So people asking for larger maps don't know what they're asking for. There are also more than a dozen maps and several game modes. Together with different gameplay tactics you can easily spend a hundred of hours into this game before it will truly feel repetitive. But hey, people spend thousands of hours on CS with just a handful of most played maps and same gameplay, on TF2 or on DOTA (which have *one* map). It's about the depth of game, not the quantity of its maps.
    The bad thing about Evolve is that it requires a fairly modern PC. I have a 3-year old rig which is above the minimum, but below the required specs, and I sometimes experience framerate drops and occasionally game-breaking stutter even on low settings. So you need either a recommended level PC or some strong nerves to play it.    … Expand

    A good concept, poorly executed and badly balanced by it's Developers (because who in their right mind balances a game around a hand full of semi-pro players when your player base is dying out fast because the balance sucks complete and utter ass), on top of a greedy Publisher trying to milk this thing like it was the last cash cow on earth...

    the game has great and wonderful graphics, but I was very disappointed with this game, it was better to be an adventure game has the same graphics with a nice simple story, rather than that it is made just for killing,

    This is sad.
    The game is from the creators of Left 4 Dead, so I expected really good coop.
    But the feeling, the look, the levels and pretty much everything in this game is just no fun to me.

Primero empezó como un juego pago donde a las semanas todo el mundo se fue olvidando, y quedo un juego fantasma donde solo podías jugar con bots. Ademas del precio del juego sus DLC'S que eran una estafa. En las Summer Sales 2016 lo bajaron un 90% para exprimir al máximo las ventas así 1 semana después ponerlo Free To Play. BásicamenteUn buen juego, con un buen concepto pero mal llevado.     Una idea increíble, 4 cazadores, contra 1 monstruo, todos jugadores pensando y ideando formas para evolucionar y cazar a su presa, pero bastante mal ejecutado, un precio alto, con poco contenido, sin historia, con varios DLC entre otras cosas, intentaron solucionarlo con el Evolve Stage 2, pero el daño ya estaba hecho, ahora el juego esta muerto y no lo juega nadie, una verdadera lastima,Una idea increíble, 4 cazadores, contra 1 monstruo, todos jugadores pensando y ideando formas para evolucionar y cazar a su presa, pero bastante mal ejecutado, un precio alto, con poco contenido, sin historia, con varios DLC entre otras cosas, intentaron solucionarlo con el Evolve Stage 2, pero el daño ya estaba hecho, ahora el juego esta muerto y no lo juega nadie, una verdadera lastima, podría haber sido algo grande… Expand

    When Evolve plays nice and doesn’t annoy you with technical problems, it is kind of fun, provided you play not more than one campaign a day. But, really, you can get the same fun in any decent f2p shooter. Like Team Fortress 2, for example.
