PC GamerOnly "Evil Dead" diehards need apply. If you're looking for "Resident Evil," buy the original. [July 2001, p.64]
-
If you haven't seen the game, prepare to witness some of the weakest graphics this side of the millenium. The 3D characters are nothing but big blocks of pixel.
-
On the whole, Evil Dead isn't horrifically badjust surprisingly limp-wristed.
-
Many of "Evil Dead" worshipers will want to try this game; I wouldn't recommend it however, simply because it might make you hate the Evil Dead trilogy for the rest of your life.
-
The suckage wasn't just saved for the visual and auditory portion of Hail to the King, though...no, no. Gameplay is equally as tedious.
-
"Evil Dead: Hail to the King" unfortunately offers little of the appeal of its source material, as everything about the game is derivative, boring, or just plain bad.
-
The graphics are poor, the gameplay boring, and even Bruce Campbell cant save the game. Its not even worth it in the bargain-bin.
-
Terrifying for all the wrong reasons. The gameplay is repetitive while the combat is frustrating and unrewarding. The graphics are outdated and the sound is unimaginative.
-
Flops in every possible way.
