RoK has slightly more stringent hardware requirements than the original EverQuest, simply because the new continent is much more visually complex, with its more detailed textures and animated environment.
-
RoK has given gamers the opportunity to take the road less traveled and, if gamers will only grasp onto these new possibilities, this will make all the difference.
-
One of the best expansions released to date. Adding an entire race and continent to EverQuest, Verant has extended the life of their popular online RPG.
-
As you explore the new continent of Kunark, it'll become increasingly clear to you that the expansion's value is as immense as that of the original game.
-
Graphically, the new zones look better. Combine that with the addition of a new race, a new continent, the change from level 50 to level 60 characters, new items, spells and creatures and you've basically got a fantastic addition that is a must for EverQuest adventurers.
-
It will take players many weeks of gameplay to fully explore all of the twenty new zones, and the new race adds more color to an already rich world.
-
This game is the closest you can possibly get to a digital drug.
-
Does a pretty solid job, but its a shame the graphical improvements made to this new island were not shared with the rest of the EverQuest world.
-
The graphics look sharper, the creatures look and move more realistically, the items are impressive, and the quests seem to be a little deeper.
-
The variety of enemies to fight, skills to learn, and people to meet have a pulling power that most games can only dream of.
-
Unless you're really really into the game, you can live without this add-on.
