    Enjoyed the story, but it's not my type of a game. I will be avoiding visual novels from now on. Pickens rethinks life choices.

    Полчаса этой игры достаточно, чтобы понять - это проект про ностальгию умирающего от безыдейности мещанского мира.
    С точки зрения марксизма-ленинизма наш мир абсолютно расчеловечивающий своей погоней за карманным прайсом тупик. Он загоняет в себя тех, кто не может себя в нем найти в парадигму асоциальности.
    Главный герой как раз такой вот хиккан, который не выходит из своей квартирки и    Полчаса этой игры достаточно, чтобы понять - это проект про ностальгию умирающего от безыдейности мещанского мира.

    Главный герой как раз такой вот хиккан, который не выходит из своей квартирки и попадает в удивительный мир детского пионерлагеря из 80-ых, в котором впрочем, контингент составляют в основном весьма красиво нарисованные зрелые девушки, это говорит только об одном - он сошел с ума от одиночества.
    Ставлю лайк, потому что нашим игроделам нельзя ставить минуса. Иначе совсем вымрут...

    Спустя три года после знакомства с этой игрой, могу смело сказать что в ней хорош только сеттинг/атмосфера и идея о перемещении в советский лагерь.

    There was something very relaxing about the story for Everlasting Summer. Maybe getting transported to an alternate time and getting to relive your teen years at summer camp beats my usual six day grind and was just comfy. I enjoyed the various characters and liked where the mystery was going as to why I was there and what caused it. I enjoyed the various characters and liked where the mystery was going as to why I was there and what caused it. I have to say that by the end it just kind of fizzled out for me. I didn’t really feel the story was well explained by the end and I also have to say that given my choices I don’t feel like the ending I got reflected the paths I took. The buildup was good as was the side plots that came about. The art was well done and had a good style to it. Individual scenes did have some issues such as a few scenes where my room mate was supposed to be sleeping across from me but in the scene itself their bed was empty. I also felt the transitions from scene to scene early in the game were strange and took a little long to happen but that seemed to get better as the game went along. The sound effects were well done. There was a card game that is similar to poker with a few tweaks that was also enjoyable once I got a handle on strategy. I didn’t much enjoy a section of the game where you had to choose the correct turns in a tunnel in order to escape because with the lack of a map or any hints it was simply trial and error to do it.

    I played Everlasting Summer on Linux. It never crashed on me and I didn’t notice any spelling errors. Alt-tab didn’t work. You could manually save whenever you wanted and there were 108 save slots.

    Overall there was a solid game here even though I wasn’t overly enthusiastic about the ending. The journey was good on it’s own right. The game is free so if you enjoy visual novels I recommend it. I finished my first play through in 3 hours and 48 minutes.
