May 6, 2022I played for five minutes and the point and click aspect was a real pain. Let me use my hotas.

Apr 8, 2022Amazing space opera game but now completely ruined due to ridiculous monetisation policies which have turned this once great game into nothing more than a cash grab. Pay To Win at its WORST.

Dec 28, 2021Played the game for a month. The fact that every review for the past 10 years brings up:
1) Bad customer service.
2) All PVP all the time ruining the game.
3) Pay to Win.
4) Boring gameplay.
5) Toxic community that laughs at you when you say you are having a bad time.
No one plays this game but aging goons. Don't give them money, it's just a trap for neurodivergent money and effort. -
Sep 22, 2021Подписка в России 999руб / мес.! CCP, вы там совсем ххх ???

May 5, 2021ccp is killing this game
Since the start of 2019, or since the acquisition by Pearl Abyss, ccp has started to update the various gameplay styles we know and love and force us to do things they want us to do. It's all about squeezing more money out of players, such as the expert system and selling skill points directly. -
Jan 17, 2021Amazing contextual menu simulator.
Unfortunately, they forgot to add some gameplay elements. -
Aug 26, 2020Developed by aholes for aholes. Predatory game where seasoned players cheap shot new players into dying a lot, because of developer encouraged scummy game mechanics. Never spend money on this game and save yourself the time and don't ever start playing it.

Jul 20, 2019You've been training the pilot for months.
You learn to fly on certain ships.
You buy ship, improve the ship, undock and you lose ship (hisec). Because it is rare. It is expensive.
Repeat until you get bored, or you lose too much money.
A game that causes stress.
The game is a waste of time and nerves. -

Oct 2, 2015Rogue moderation. Will ban you for no reason or if you differ in opinion with staff. This company is founded in another country so they follow a different set of rules. Also unethical gameplay within game with no cap on how far someone can go.
-
Oct 2, 2015Eve Online is the most boring game I have ever played. If you can imagine spreadsheets in space you have Eve Online. CCP also promotes extortion of the players through game mechanics and promoting player behavior. CCP has admitted to manipulating game mechanics to inflate player base numbers.

Dec 7, 2014You can tell a lot about the game by the company backing it. The support is horrible! I opened a case because I was unable to play and after a month the case is still open with no solution in sight. meanwhile my subscription is ticking away. Nice game if you don't mind that the people behind it are only interested in your money and not your gaming experience,

Nov 25, 2014I lost everything because of a bug. My warp drive didn't activate. It said it was warping, but my ship was just sitting there, getting hit, and I lost everything. Never coming back to this buggy mess.

Jun 23, 2014A terrible experience, once you get the game working after countless errors on PC you are introduced with a pay to win experience in which players that have spent more money will dominate. This game is not even worth the 10 NZ dollars i have paid.

May 30, 2014played the game off and on for years. lots of good. but crappy customer service, and known bug issues, will still refuse ship reimbursement. Just getting to the point of not being worth it.

Awards & Rankings
-
Edge MagazineAs expectations are put aside and the game is explored for its own merits, it begins to provide a vast sense of potential that few games can muster. [June 2003, p.97]
-
A game of epic proportions.
-
An enjoyable game. It emphasizes teamwork and really gives a lot of character tweaking to sink one’s teeth into, but you really need to be patient individual to deal with the mining aspect of the game.
