    If you're on the fence, there's no reason not to try out the free trial. It might not be for the faint of heart or the short of time, but when it comes to being a space capitalist, there's not much that compares to EVE, even after a remarkable 7-year run.

    The Commissioned Officers Edition is a great way to update the rather painful experience of entering EVE for the first time, even if there is still a couple of pacing problems that pop up at some point in its life.

    If one were to describe EVE Online, the most accurate description possible would be "boutique MMO." It's not aimed at the WoW crowd. It's not trying to steal market share from the behemoths. Yet it has enough of a stable player base to elevate it beyond merely cult status.

    Nothing about EVE is done poorly except for the fact that it isn't fun. If you like charts, reading directions, and being blown up for no reason, give EVE Online a try.
