Truly a space sim sandbox of epic proportions. Mercenary, explorer, pirate, trader, bounty hunter, miner... solo or with friends. Truly the galaxy is ours to play with. Best immersion in a space sim.

On the right track! I will start with the bad: There is a lack of content at the moment within the game and the multiplier aspect of it is pretty much non-existent but as this a title that's still being actively developed, you can expect those to be improved in the future. I will start with the bad: There is a lack of content at the moment within the game and the multiplier aspect of it is pretty much non-existent but as this a title that's still being actively developed, you can expect those to be improved in the future. I took part in the testing process since Alpha and I have to say that Frontier knows what it's doing. Features were being implemented fast and reliable, with fixes coming out literally next day (Say Beta 3.0 was released on Thursday, Beta 3.01 would be released on Friday fixing major bugs and Beta 3.02 would be release on Monday to fix minor bugs). I'm confident that in a couple of months this will be quite a different game.

As for the good in it... where do i start:
    - Looks amazing - the cobra engine is a beast, the title looks absolutely fantastic and the aesthetic is amazing. The cheap ships look and feel cheap while the expensive ones seem very luxurious.
    - Sounds amazing - the people that made the sound effects and music for this game should have a statue built in their honer. Find a youtube video of a hyperspace jump, get your best headphones on, full screen it and have a look. There is no question about it.
    - Feels amazing - the bigger the ship, the heavier it feels. Inertia is a real thing and you have to take it into account. The thrusters on your ship will do everything in their power to keep your mistakes in line but the blame of crashing into an asteroid is 100% yours - until you turn flight assist off then good bye all control over anything; you better have lightning reflexes for this mode.
    - Performs amazing: The minimum system requirements are those of a mid-range PC from 6 years ago. On my system which has a GTX660 (not Ti) I can run the game at 55-60FPS with all details on Max @1080p. Frontier do not kid around when it comes to optimization.
    - Support for all sorts of immersion technology including Track IR, FaceTrackNoIr and Oculus Rift.
    - Evolving universe: Every aspect of the universe is player-influenced and determined by player behavior. Revolutions in start-systems get started because a group of 10-20 players decided to help out the local rebel party. There is an in-built news system that reflects how the galaxy evolves and how the balance of power gets affected. The game-world feels truly alive!

Even with the current shortage in content and non-existing MP you will have plenty to do for the first 100-200 hours and unless you blitz through those in 10 days, by the time you're done playing Frontier have probably released more stuff for you to enjoy.

For now 9/10 because of missing features and content. Once those are in I will change the grade of the game but for what it is I believe this is fair.

I just cant put this game down! Since I got the pre order and started with the tutorial and combat missions it has been a pleasure. any help I needed I got it from the tutorial videos or Forger's great guide (150+ pages). The forums are full of players willing to help newcomers and the devs are always around.

The game itself is no hand holding though. basic starter ship and 1000 Cr?!!!

The game combat system is second to none, the galaxy 1:1 allows you to appreciate the wonders in it, you can even visit actual celestial bodies known in the usual NASA catalogues. The game has been designed with a pure space sim sandbox experience in mind so there is no hand holding or central story to be the hero of. It is just you, your friends and the galaxy. The main factions struggle for power and you can participate... among the thousands of other players. The combined results of all those players (sometimes fighting in opposite sides, PVP and all) will determine how the galaxy evolves...

Best graphics and sound, ED launch has been one of the smoothest in history. Servers seem to be rock solid after all the beta and gamma stress testing. This game will be around for a long time.

Like Elite of Old, loving it !!!! few little niggles here and there and a steep learning curve at start, but once you are up and running and for me when combined with a good joystick setup and Voice Attack this game is immersive as hell.

In David Braben and the team we trust to build on this excellent game with time.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. As a teenager 30 years ago I played the 1984 BBC Micro 'model B' original, and witnessed it change the concept of the computer "game" for ever, it is still one of the greatest games I've ever played (and I've played a great many before and since).
This new version recaptures the essence of the original. Hugely ambitious in scope (the entire Milky Way to explore with as much accuracy as possible) and with beautifully realistic graphics ... finally no need to use my imagination to translate black and white wire-frame graphics, it's like I'm actually there!
Admittedly multiplayer interaction is too rare and needs a bit of work, but given the awe-inspiring potential of this game this is a minor gripe.
It perhaps says a lot about the human condition that all I've done, and I feel most of us start off with when first thrown randomly into Elite's galaxy is try and find our way home to Earth. I've done that now, it was emotional, and now feel I can take on the rest of the galaxy - and I can't wait.

You can play as a trader, bounty hunter, pirate, miner and explorer or a mixture of all of these. The focus is on replicating the feel of piloting your own space ship with 15 currently available and this rising to 30, each with a different feel. The game has already won VR space simulator of the year and even with with pre-consumer DK2 Oculus rift is jaw dropping good. The game still has areas where content is light and requires imagination to fill in the blanks, with more content to come with a ethos of other MMOs that it is never finished. Some reviewers have complained of nothing to do and it does rely on you making the story and not being hand held through it. If you are willing to be creative and enjoy the aspects it does well, you are in for a treat. It is the type of game what you could leave it for a couple of months and them come back to see new features and content that engages you again, The more people that support this the better this game will become and it will grow into something exceptional. The development team have a real passion and if you listen to David Braben you can hear he is in this for the long haul to make his dream space game. I can't wait to see how it evolves and grows over the coming years. Expand

Immersion in the Rift has to be seen to be believed, Looking around in the cockpit or just sitting up a little taller in your chair so you can see over the hood of your sidewinder and watch your guns deploy are little things that make that ship feel solid and whole not just something that is pasted on the screen to look like a cockpit. There has been a bit of drama over the switch to no offline single player and to a point I can understand the feeling but there is too much potential for this game in the future to be shot down by this. What this game is at the moment is an excellent launchpad for the ultimate galaxy spanning space sim and I for one can't wait to see the features Frontier adds next! Expand

Yes. I am going to agree on the fact that it might be light on content now, but looking at the news and the possibilities this can be a dream coming true very soon (as it alredy is, really). You can choose from bounty hunting and having GREAT fun killing those other ships, to trading between stations and making a nice profit for each run. What people also must get is the fact that it is a simulator, it is NOT eve online, it is a simulator. If you dislike the times it take to travel to point A to B, or the FSD drive itself, or anything of that, I'd say this game is not for you, but if you like a great space sim with great features and even better potential, I'd definetely pick it up.
And for those out there that wonder, Yes, it is COMPLETELY playable with keyboard and mouse, in fact, I have amost only used that as of yet and I am in love with the controls aswell.

And its only just begun, with more and more content to be injected in together with an ever changing system of missions and developments depending on player governed actions, this game is going to be your go to game for years, not just 40 hours straight play.

Its as involving as you want it to be, and whilst they squash some bugs, sort out the system and get everyone in comfortably, then more content is coming. As an alpha tester, this isn't a game you master overnight, so be prepared for a learning curve and for it not to function like a typical mmo but something altogether more sophisticated and you are one of many in for a great ride. There's more fleshing out to come around the sandbox that is in so far, but the basic elements are good, the interactions interesting, and the space flight/fight gameplay is amazing. Also, probably the best sound design in a video game, ever.

If you can be happy as described, grab it and you'll love it. If you want a little more second/third tier sandbox content, maybe wait a couple of months. Just don't get it expecting a typical "go here; do X" MMO because Elite doesn't provide that experience and doesn't want to.

It is Elite, and it is back. For me, it's been a game I have been waiting for very long time. Since Elite 3 aka Frontier: First Encounters I have been dreaming about modern, up to date take on Elite universe. When Kickstarter was announced, I was both skeptical and inspired. We pulled trough, despite nay sayers, and long period development started. I didn't know what to expect, as FD has shown lot of concepts and even working code, but still it was very early. But FD continued to press on and soon we got lot of concept art, ideas about how ships will work, how stations will look like, how background simulation will affect our lives. And then year ago Alpha landed - which was very nice surprise, as it soon supported TrackIR and Oculus Rift.

During testing period there's have been high and lows. Despite all this FD kept communicate to us and collecting feedback and with each release they showed us that they care and they listen. Saying that this, despite lack of coverage, is co-project with community is understatement.

Now,. we have Elite: Dangerous 1.0. First is to understand that this game will follow classic evolution of MMO - FD has already features lined up for post release. But how 1.0 holds up to scrutiny of the long term fan as me?

I will start with issues, as most likely if you read this whole, you are interested in those. Game is slow and long - it's hard to gain any short term investment without getting your feet wet with all mechanics. They are quite complex (although there are more hardcore games in space sim genre out there), and lot of design decisions take some time to get hold on and understand why they are important. So while you can certainly jump into game and trash opponent's ships in few minutes, it takes some time to get to that point, as combat is exciting, yet again takes time to master.

Co-op is possible, but also takes time to understand concepts around them. Improved way to do co-op is planned as first update post release early next year. Comms are very good in my opinion - text and voice comms are working with friends no matter of location, with rest of people they are local for system. There are ideas of station chat to be implemented in future.

When co-op works, it is beauty to behold. Taking down pirate lords together is new past time for many gamma testers.

Game's professions are mostly fleshed out for introductory gameplay - trading is managed by background simulation, so milk runs are limited to certain extent, rare goods are something you can take far, far away and find someone to pay for it - it's price will go up further you go. Trading goods aren't actually something random, it is weaved heavily in background sim and can have lot of different effects (like having famine and civil war in Sol system). Mining can be seen as boring, but I enjoyed every minute of it - you just can't press button and be done with, you have to actively scan and catch pieces of rock when they are blown off by mining laser. Bounty hunting and piracy requires lot of actual skill, and there are actual military missions too. Assasination, courer...you can do a lot of things in Elite universe - as always.

Missions is very important element in ED too - this is sometimes only way how to gain first capital to invest into new weapons or repay your insurance debt, sometimes they are very funny ones, and sometimes they are very important for your break - faction reputation is very big part of background sim AND your development of character.

It is hard to grasp everything what's been said as game is still in constant development, especially with it's background sim parts. There's overarching story line which will launch today, t.i. 16th December, so be sure check it out. Game is visual wise and sound vise a masterpiece so it is worth to check it out if you just like beautiful games.

Check out endless stream of Youtube videos to be sure, but one thing I can say - if you will let ED to sink in, you will enjoy it for endless hours.

Those complaining about a story, its not WoW, or Dragon Age it's a space simulator. Ever heard anyone brag about the story in Microsoft's Flight Simulator? Exactly. The flight model is a bit off since you feel like you're flying an airplane in space. Mining is more about finding a good rock to mine, like it was during the gold rush. There is no "minigame" in mining your literally outfit your ship with mining gear & head out to an asteroid field. How do you find a good asteroid or a good asteroid field to mine in? By learning how to read the data you're given & learning what is actually valuable. You then break off pieces of rock with your laser, collect them so the material makeup can be analyzed by your ship (yes you have to physically fly around and collect the pieces of asteroid SORRY POINT & CLICK fans again SPACE SIM). The galaxy map is huge and will take some time to learn to use. Missions consists of ways to make cash for those not good enough at killing guys or that don't want to risk mining. The "missions" are basically independent contracts for you to take goods from A to B in X amount of time, they should be called jobs so the WoW fans can stop crying. There is no "story" around this because its a space sim. You have a ship, and things need to be shipped, what the job yes or no? Now the fun comes in getting those goods from A to B, as someone is always trying to make money through piracy. Everything else is all space sim, if your looking for a point and click game, keep moving. You will have to learn to actually fly your ship. If you're used to games spoon feeding your ego so you can feel like the man, again keep moving. The only reason you feel like the man while playing Elite is because you can fly that ship, kill those pirates, found the sweetest asteroid field out in the middle of nowhere and you're headed by to a space station with a sweet load. There are so many system to go to dual star solar systems, white dwarf, just crazy.

(CO-OP) It is very hard to hook up with your friends as you can spawn very far apart since this is space (its kinda big you know). But really this doesn't matter as much since you have to figure out how to go about making your own fortune. Again it's not Wow where you raiding together.
(Trading) Was impacted by aggressive NPC's but this has been addressed. Again since there is no hand holding you have to figure out how to make money trading. You have to learn who imports or exports what and at what price.
The biggest point I can make its that people see MMO and think Wow in space, one more time IT'S A SPACE SIM.

What it is:- A strategic Simulator mix with plenty of Action if you want it and are willing to get stuck in.

What it isn't:- is a Shootemup.

At the moment the MultiPlayer aspect is not that good however this is being further developed and will improve soon with the ability to control and co-ordinate wings in January.

Some people complain that there is no intereaction with other people in the game, but I don't seem to have that issue and only this afternoon every system I seem to have visited has had at least one human player amongst the NPCs. Some have had considerably more and I inadvertantly clipped 2 on dashing into a star port.

You do need to immerse yourself in the game to get the most out of it and there is going to be a pretty vicious war between factions before too long and that really will bring human player into conflict with human player a lot more.

It has a fairly steep learning curve and to begin with you are limited on missions you can take (and the enemies you will face) but this just helps build the anticipation.

It isn't a game you will reach the top (not that there is such a thing) quickly and to get the biggest space ships will take a lot of work and time.

Oh and if you want more incentive, there is a £10,000 reward for getting to Triple Elite status first. That definitely won't be me, as my gameplay style is not suited to that.

It should be noted, payoff greatly varies from role to role, and it seems it could be balanced further. Trading for example is not that good as of now, but Frontier is addressing those balance issues.

There are a lot of reviews criticizing the "lack" of content in this game, but take them with a grain of salt: Elite: Dangerous will not grab your hand and tell you what to do, YOU create your own story. However I do think that Release Build seems like it is missing a few features that could make this galaxy a lot more vivid, however FPS and planetary landing modules are on their way and that should solve this by a good amount.

What about Frontier as a developer? I started playing at Beta 2 and the game has progressed so much since then, UI has evolved, bugs have been fixed, new features implemented and rebalanced (somewhat), and a successful Gamma phase that led to the most stable "online-only" release I've seen in some time. This game is still being developed and there is more content to be added, it can only get better.

This game is Buy 2 Play with microtransactions. Don't be afraid though, this is not a Pay2Win game, because you can only buy paintjobs with real money.

Picture this... I don't know if you are old enough to remember or if you were alive then, but back in the 1980s computer games all followed (pretty much) the same structure...
You had three lives, and perhaps a power-up, a bomb or a bonus item of some sort. You could get a bonus life/bomb/item at various points through the game. You played till you lost your lives and that was it.

You had three lives, and perhaps a power-up, a bomb or a bonus item of some sort. You could get a bonus life/bomb/item at various points through the game. You played till you lost your lives and that was it.
Then along came Elite, which through away the rule book and tried to do something different. And it did. And without Elite breaking the rules back then you probably wouldn't have games like GTA, Eve, Warcraft, etc.,
Now, 30yrs later it is trying to break the mold again by throwing away the new 'rule book' for online gaming. Look at the games that are out there... What do you see?
You see a selection of game that all appear to be different from each other, but have a closer look... Nearly all of them follow the same pattern (or rules).
1 - Start game with big introduction placing you in the middle of a big event.
2 - Make the player the most important character in the event.
3 - Give player a walkthough and then set stages for them to complete
4 - At the end of each stage give the player a bonus
5 - At the end of a set of stages, give them a boss fight and a bonus
6 - Repeat till end of story.
Now, I enjoy some of these games myself, play a lot of them. But you are basically following the same process through each game.
    Now here comes Elite...
1 - It places you in a live galaxy.
2 - You aren't the most important person in the game.
3 - It allows you to find your own way.
4 - They provide a set of events which you can decide to interact with 'if' you want to.
5 - There are no boss fights, but your interactions actually influence how the events/story evolves.
6 - There is no end of story.
But there is one major thing needed... An Imagination!
That is what is lacking in the other games, They give you everything and you don't need to put any of yourself in to the game. Elite is different...
Instead of being a game that plans your every move and leads you down a set path, Elite is totally open.
Elite is whatever 'You' bring to the game.

Sure there are some bugs in the game (but when is there NOT bugs in a new release, especially the games that have the always online DRM). Doesn't matter how much beta testing they give a game, there is always going to be some teething troubles, and if you can't accept that and expect the game to be 110% perfect on release, AND hold your hand while they walk you through every step of the game, then you should sell your PC and go back to board games.

To explain, I played in beta, and happily worked out some of the bugs, the game at that time and even up to gamma release wasn't as complete as I would have liked, however it promised to deliver everything I expected and I do expect Frontier developments to deliver on those promises. As of the last update, Wings, (1.2), I am really happy with the content, two more playable ships delivered plus lots of added extra’s, and 1.3 promises to have another two playable ships delivered plus a lot of added extra’s, as it stands our own Milky way is completely rendered to 1:1 scale, and you can visit any one of 400 billion stars, including black holes.
Starting with a small one man craft called a sidewinder and 1000credits, you can pirate, trade, bounty hunt, be a mercenary, delivery driver, explorer or choose from or be a part of three factions, Federation, Empire and Alliance Navy Pilots, pilot several ships of different types, costing money that you earn in game, (There is no pay to win here!) the ships are fully upgradeable, and can be customized from paint jobs and decals purchased from the online store or earned in game.
Visiting the Sol system and seeing Earth from Space is an awesome sight, populated planets now have lights showing populated area’s that you will in a proposed update be able to land by and see, you can also fly out to see the Discovery (Voyager probe) which is en-route to the outer reaches of our galaxy.
The graphics are quite literally out of this world, the sound is awesome, the ships move very well, I play using a keyboard and mouse, but the games supports Joysticks (Hotas) also Oculus Rift Virtual reality headsets, You can also use voice attack, which is a 3rd party verbal commands system via a headset, all adding to the immersive content.
There are a lot of folk that call aspects of the game grinding, I call it playing, other games have similar elements, grinding to get better gear, weapons etc.., in order to get more expensive ships and weapons you need to grind, this is not hand holding, you won't get things given to you on a plate, which Imo I reckon a lot of younger players don't like, you have to earn and work hard to get the bigger better stuff, I started with the starter ship, I have just earned the rank of Baron with the Empire, and I can buy an Imperial Clipper worth 22million credits, credits I've worked hard doing everything I can in game, you need to vary your game play, just trading from A to B can become boring if that is all you do, think Euro trucking simulator (Not everyone's cup of tea), having said that, if it's a good trade route, it’s a quick way to make money and can be worth the grind in the long term, trade your way to better ships and weapons.
The Elite Dangerous world is exactly that, dangerous, don't expect an easy game, you can lose your ship in a fight, or just bad piloting, make sure you fly with sufficient funds to cover your insurance, play in open play is a choice to potentially meet other real pilots in their ships and pvp in open play is a possibility, or play in solo, which is pve, you can also play in a group with friends who also play the game.
The game is improving with every update and they are coming thick and fast, don’t lose faith, the waiting and the playing are well worth it.

The choice to deliver an online only game was the right one and the interweaving of the developing narrative is already creating a hugely immersive experience for players. The game experience is rich and varied already with much still to be delivered from the aims and objectives of the design. Already, the support for a variety of innovative controllers (Voice Attack, TrackIR, Oculus) and the careful fly model design to reinvigorate the gamer's joystick market demonstrates the passion and commitment of the design and development team. This game is more of a sandbox set in space at the moment. There's plenty to see and do for the moment, and yes there are some bugs and oddities which need to be sorted but I think Frontier are capable and willing to continue to develop this title and add to it.

I'm rating it at a 9, which probably is allowing a little more for potential than it truly deserves right now.

First of all... Although the game is multiplayer don't expect an MMO with dozens of people around everywhere because its peer too peer system allows only 32 player per instance and the galaxy is so huge the player base will be spread so it might be hard to find player targets for pirates but everyone who would like to PVP agains others will find players with the same will at combat zones I am sure.
You can freely swich between modes solo online, private group, or open so you can avoid "griefing" if ther is any.
    ---------------------------------------

Its a game for those who would like to have a chance to explore the beauty of our galaxy in the future (3300) meanwhile there are different ways to experience it. Trade,Bountyhunt,Pirating,Mining,Exploring, or the mix of these with lot of different ship. You can gear your ship according to your choice of role.

Although there is no "scripted" personal sotry of yours you can take part of its background simulated story of its "living world" with empires fight for domination. You can decide what side you choose and work for their domination and expanding empire or just leave the conflicts behind and go far far away to do your own bussiness.

I think anyone who loves science, space, and flying in sims would enjoy this game already but those who are looking for an action packed "space shooter" with constant battles and "quicktime events" might be disappointed because the main focus is not the combat in this game and the pace might be slow for those. Feature updates in the near future are expected and big expansions are planned also in the "years to come" so the game will have lot more content. (planetary landing, walking on stations)

"""Frontier Developement has built a huge luxury house on a nice beach it has nice furnitures a big swimmingpool but maybe there isn't a pro home cinema room just a big plasma tv with hifi stereo receiver nor there is a jacuzzi yet. (But it might be built.)" "So those who don't like the beach and need a home cinema to be happy might won't like it"""

I haven't tied the co-op multiplayer yet but I know it has some issues but I think it has priority so it will be fixed hopefully soon.

    My scores for the v1.0:

    Graphics - 9
    Audio,Music - 10
    Combat - 9
Multiplayer/Co-Op - 6 (some features are missing but will come early 2015)
Content/Features -7 (some part have to be ironed out a bit)

The future of this game is promising if FD wil continue to work with the same enthusiasm as they have been done it till today. My opinion is that this game has been made for a niche but enthusiastic audience and I don't think thats a bad thing. The question is: Are there enough of "us" to make it succesfull?

Overal Score - 8 (I should give it to 10 to balance out the ridicilous scores with 0)

Immersion in space is the best around, especially with a trackIR or DK2. Combat and dogfight is engaging and complex enough to savor it while at the same time not being overwhelmingly complicated.

Giving it a 10 simply because I haven't played or bought anything else since I started playing the development builds of this game. These scores are after all used by people to compare against other games and since I personally no longer are even interested in other titles this then follows logically. ;)

In terms of features/content there is still plenty to get done, but with the potential scope of the game that will always be the case. There will always be more to add and improve and the devs have always said that this is a long term project for them. What we have now is only the beginning.

I don't really agree with people claiming that it is lacking in terms of content though. I've played it all through development and still keep on finding new things in game that I haven't seen before. There is plenty to do in the game, but it DOES require the player to actively find these things. Improvements in how to present these things to the players in different ways would go a long way of making people realize how much is actually in there.

Improvements to co-op is also sorely needed at the moment and this is probably my biggest gripe at the moment, but this is also the next major thing the devs will get into the game early next year. It's NOT impossible to play with friends, but it isn't optimal either at the moment.

On the whole it is fantastic though with so much more planned down the road. When seamless planetary landings are implemented together with first person gameplay in ships/stations and down on planets I will never log off again!

    So go get it! :)

You can look out the windows, admire a passing ring system with a setting sun and track a pirate as you blow him up.. you are there sat in the seat with your ship around you.

Many of the negative reviews stated that the game, when released, wasn't "complete" and therefore not worth the full price, but I beg to differ. The game is still $60, and the developers are continuously updating the game with huge content that most games would charge as a $10 DLC. With Elite: Dangerous, when you buy the game, you are buying the current game and all future updates. If you go to the forums or newsletters and read about the developer's long-term goals, you'll realize that they are 110% committed to continue updating, fixing, and improving the game. I honestly cannot think of a game that I have been more excited about than this one, and I've already put more time into than most games. There are still lots of features and ships that needs to be added that will come with time, but so far I'm having a great time with what it offers.

Note that this is a buy to play MMO, like Guild Wars, and while you can play solo, it requires constant connection with the server, so this game is not one that will accompany you in your travels. Servers seem very stable, but you may find inconveniences and downtimes for maintenance/update processes. So take that into consideration before buying.

If you wonder why there are so many negative reviews. That would be mainly because of the tribal fanbois of Star Citizen trolling. I also think Star Citizen is going to be great, but that is no reason not to like Elite: Dangerous, as a fan of space sims, I'll welcome as many high quality space sims as possible, and Star Citizen is still 2 years away from getting a persistent universe.

This gem of a game has to be the best space sim ever. Incredible graphics making justice of the old Elite while making it look great and modern. Those sounds! Best fun I have had with friends in a long time! Flying is just very rewarding and combat is really well implemented. Cant wait to be able to pilot that Dropship!

This game is marvelous, from the scenary's you see to the action itself. In the core systems, the game feels alive, in the backwards systems, you feel lonely. Your imagination is the limit, their is no mission, questions marks to guide your progress. Its all up to you, to go out there and experience it.

First minute the game takes your breath away and then it entertains you for another couple of hours to end up like a meditative tool for hard working individuals. What a waste and shame for a game in such beautiful environment. [Issue#253]

Everyone who played the original game back in the 80's, should be right at home. It's the 21st Century version of "Elite." But newer, uninitiated players may find it strangely desolate and repetitive. A grand space simulation, aimed at the series' hardcore fans.

You can focus on the journey, not the destination – even when some "road work" signs will bother you for the time being in the reincarnated Elite. But their numbers are declining with every new update so a thirty-year-old vision becomes more and more complete.
