    1- The streamer is dumb
2- The map is big and confusing
3- the optimization is horrible, the game runs poorly on rtx
4-the people who make tutorials are dumb too. They don't show the map, they just show a specific corner hoping we know where it is.

the game is beautiful, at 40 fps

    No problem for me
I do not even have a frame drop
The only problem with the game is the presence of duplicate bass

First off, Liurnia is a NIGHTMARE to traverse. mountainous areas in this game just doesn't work. you have to CONTANTLY look at you map to see where to go when all of the other areas feel like you don't even need the map. easily my least favorite area because at least with gelmir, you get a bunch of ladders.
My second complaint is with some performance issues. It is VERY clear this game was meant for console. The game will sometimes drop frames for no reason (I have a very good PC) especially during bosses which is the last time you want frame drops.
This game is EXELLENT, but if you want the full experience, play on console. I have put nearly 200 hours into this game and I only got it recently. My fullest recommendation.

And this is all on top of PVP and cooperative play that I’ve barely been able to scratch the surface of. Throughout it all, while the fundamentals of combat haven’t changed much from what we’ve seen before, the enormous variety of viciously designed enemies and the brutal but surmountable bosses have brought its battles to a new level. Even with all the threads, I didn’t manage to tug on my first playthrough (of what I’m sure will be several), what I was treated to can easily be held amongst the best open-world games I’ve ever played. Definitely the best game to come out in the past 5 years. I think it's in the top 5 games of all time. Amazing story, game-play, music and AI. Played over 200 hours and played all day every day in the release week. It's a hard game and it is supposed to be, it is fun in that sense itself, no micro-transactions and only grinding in-game which keeps everything fair for everyone. Absolute masterpiece.

The performance on PC has improved since launch, though it's not perfect yet.
My only critique is the multiplayer feature. If you're expecting a good co-op experience, you'll be disappointed.

It's dark souls 3 with an open confusing world. Don't buy it if you're not a dark souls fan. But the low score is because of the PC version, how could they launch the game with 60 fps cap? Not only that but the 60 fps aren't stable, it drops do 30 many times. This with a 3080 and 5600x.

This game has so many shills that are so quick to dismiss any legitimate concerns or problems, it's hilarious. The game looks like dark souls 3, runs like turd. 3090 at 2k resolution drops frames left and right. No DLSS. It's probably not a zero but to offset those shills I'm giving this title a zero.

I've tried so hard to like this game, but I can't even enjoy playing it. I don't criticize a game without testing every aspect I can, so I did. I generated FPS and frametime graphs, tested a lot of graphical settings at 1080p, 1440p and 4K, tested the game in 3 different setups, and the results where equaly disappointing on all of them.

This game has a lot of optimization issues, like, it is a pretty mediocre game in this regard, 4K, 1440p or 1080p, in every resolution I get the same stutters in the same areas, the same illogical frame drops, even if I try messing around with some settings.
Graphics wise, it seems like a 2013 game, and I can't even deffend this game even If I tried doing so. It has mediocre physics and AI.
Elden Ring is capped at 60 fps, and you can't disable V-Sync and it doesn't even have support for 21:9 resolutions. Really?
This game has some of the worst controls I've seen in a Soulsborne game ever, I had to reasign every key to make this game playable, and even then, it was pretty confusing, because the game uses controller mapping for every menu and tutorial, making it difficult for non-controller gamers.
And its 2022, why can't this game have technologies like FSR or DLSS? They would make the game much more accessible for different hardware configurations.
It's an open-world game, but you can barely interact with the world, you can't swim, you can't climb. And the world is plain, it has an amateurish design, something that would be decent around 5 years ago, but in 2022, its mediocre.
I have a lot more things i could criticize, but that would make this a lot longer, so I will stop here. The game is full of bugs, physics, AI and performance issues, so I can't recommend buying this game right now. If you MUST play it, I'd recommend doing it in a PS5.

I have to say that this is a really good game overall, but it's a very bad soulslike game, and as a longtime fromsoft fan, I expected a soulslike rather than a traditional open world RPG, which is the reason for my low score.

I have to say that this is a really good game overall, but it's a very bad soulslike game, and as a longtime fromsoft fan, I expected a soulslike rather than a traditional open world RPG, which is the reason for my low score.

    THE BAD:
Fromsoft made the game more accessible, but that killed what made their previous games memorable. The adrenaline rush you felt after killing harder bosses/mini bosses and overcoming challenges was amazing. But in Elden ring I felt no such accomplishment at all, I didn't feel challenged at all. No boss or miniboss took me more than 5 tries, and i did not use summon nor sorcerer builds. Of course the game could've been challenging, if I level up less, upgrade my weapons less, don't use ashes of war but... if I have to actively avoid using the games mechanics to make the game challenging then that is just simply bad design. Previous fromsoft games had a natural progression to them, unless you went out of your way to farm you did not overlevel. Also there were quite a few bosses in ds3 that had high magic res and gave mages a tough time to balance things out, ER does not have such things.

There are some other minor issues as well, lot's of overused minibosses, repetitive catacombs, mounted combat is boring. Bosses are not fun, all the delayed attacks ruin the flow of the fights that ds3/sekiro/bloodborne had. Lot's of downtine between action, not so action packed as previous titles.

    THE GOOD:
Visually amazing world, combat is improved, ashes of wars and spells are fun to use, boss mechanics and visuals are also really cool.

Overall: IMO they should've sticked to the non open world format, the open world hurt the game more than it added, but it could be fixed with some balancing/tuning. Multiply the healthbar of every enemy by 1.5-2x, I think that's easier to do than nerfing everything.

There is no need to spend money on such a mediocre work.
Did the critics who gave the perfect score get a bribe?
Or are you not playing? I wanted to "adventure" the world with the Soul series system. They advertised that it could be done with an open world system. I bought this, but it was a fraud. I continued to resist boredom and work feeling on the wide stage and cleared it, but

Elden Ring is an experience that will not be forgotten in a hurry. It's a tremendous, hulking, massive achievement but because it is tremendous, hulking and massive, it is one that comes with many caveats. The shelves in CeX and conversations with people who stopped playing at Stormveil castle can certainly attest to some of those caveats. Much like any FromSoftware title, it's not going to be for everybody, but paradoxically it is one of their hardest and one of their most accessible to date. It offers huge value in one package, and perhaps is a little too much value, only becoming clearer when nearing the endgame. Don't be mistaken by the criticism, though. This is a phenomenal achievement with a moment-to-moment that is incredibly engaging and immersive. No doubt it will be deserving of the end-of-year accolades it will inevitably receive. One pushes through Elden Ring as one pushes through life, with all the highs and the lows that it brings.

Elden Ring is massive, sometimes to its detriment. A thorough walkthrough might take up more than 100 hours to complete, and at some point it becomes clear that From Software did not have enough manpower to produce that much unique content. Still, it remains incredibly addictive even after those 100 hours pass…

It’s hard to review Elden Ring without being comparative; that’s because Elden Ring is an evolutionary step, not a revolutionary one, and one can’t help but see how it’s built on what came before. Here is a massive undertaking of a game, not for the sake of chasing trends but as the natural progression of the style the company has been fostering for over a decade. It’s amazing how smoothly the transition to open world was and how much of the Souls identity is still present. In the short time since its release, it has already left a cultural mark, no doubt a result of the game’s increased approachability. Even after sifting past all the hype and grandiosity, there’s still an excellent game left and Elden Ring is a clear showcase of FromSoftware’s outstanding expertise in the field. Elden Ring really is just that good.
