There might have been plenty of co-op shooters since Left 4 Dead, but few managed to wrangle the same fun, fear and frantic combat as Earthfall did.

It's already a decent game, but compared with its inspiration Left 4 Dead it leaves a lot to be desired.

The co-operative alien hunt is a decent Left 4 Dead clone that lacks variety, a decent balance and content in general.

Earthfall is a cooperative FPS with a few interesting ideas that it fails to deliver on. Built on a poor foundation of unsatisfying combat and repetitive mission structure, every aspect of the game is mediocre at best. With some serious retooling, its light building mechanic could be an interesting twist, but there’s little reason to play Earthfall in its current state with so many better examples of the genre already out there.

Earthfall doesn't try in the slightest to differentiate itself from Left 4 Dead, feeling in the end like a "fan-made" mode. There is fun to be had when played with friends, just devoid of anything we haven't seen before (done better).

Co-op alien-blasting shooter, Earthfall, is a decent clone of Left 4 Dead... and that's the problem with it, as it should be much, much more than that. Simply put, the foundation is great, but the structure on top of it is not worth the rent.

Despite providing the foundations of an interesting multiplayer experience, Earthfall massively holds back on its delivery as a Left 4 Dead successor. It instead sits on a shelf amongst other co-operative horde shooters, unable to stand out as anything spectacular or bring anything new to the table.

I expected the modern look of L4D2, but I get something more. I game you can collect skins on guns, new clothes on the characters. DevelopersI expected the modern look of L4D2, but I get something more. I game you can collect skins on guns, new clothes on the characters. Developers are updating the game very well. Last month they added new skins, mode and so on. I recommend this game for everyone who likes the game L4D. Expand

I saw this game when it just came out, but did not pay attention to it, because I did not understand that it was a direct copy of left 4 deadI saw this game when it just came out, but did not pay attention to it, because I did not understand that it was a direct copy of left 4 dead with a couple of gameplay innovations, yes, the game is very short, and there is no workshop and map editor, yes, special infected and game design are poorly done, but there is a positive trend, though not fully implemented, for me personally, the atmosphere of the land occupied by aliens was something fresh and a little scary, in some places there was even a good ost, but alas, no one worked fully on the atmosphere and these are just such small "notes". Also about the opponents, yes, the crowds of mindless aliens look a little awkward, but in principle it's funny and looks like an interesting skin-addon from the l4d2 workshop) The gameplay mechanics with the construction of walls are also not so bad, you can play with friends, even despite the fact that I spent about 25$ to play with four friends, I don’t mind, 1. attempts to make good atmosphere, 2. modern graphics, 3. normal impact from shooting 4. The last levels took place in hazmat suits (The authors even tried in some kind of story). In general, the game turns out to be some kind of not very intelligible craft, a test one, I won’t be surprised if this is the first game of the studio, but it doesn’t cost very much, and I think you can buy it, because it’s still another opportunity to plunge into l4d- similar cooperative gameplay in modern graphics, this was enough for me to quench at least a fraction of my thirst for Left 4 Dead 3) and compared to the previous attempt to create a new left4dead "Revelation 2012" by third-party developers, it already looks a little better. And for attempts in the field of atmosphere and plot, at least an attempt, I will never raise my hand to dislike the game and hate the authors, thanks haters, we got an absolutely plotless and atmosphereless "Back 4 Blood". Left 4 Dead never had enough story. Expand
