Jun 2, 2013I will go out on a limb and say that given some more love and (lots) more patches, “Eador: Masters of a Broken World” could become a classic in its genre. If you're a fantasy TBS fan you should definitely pick this up (it's only 20 bucks) and watch the patches roll in.

Pelit (Finland)Oct 5, 2013Eador: Masters of the Broken World combines features from several fantasy games into one very nice package. [Sept 2013]
-
Apr 29, 2013Despite its often-disastrous implementation, Eador’s design is worth your time – a testament to its strength.
-
PC Master (Greece)Jun 5, 2013A true follower of the classic Heroes of Might & Magic recipe: heroes, turn-based battles, XP and RPG-style leveling up, fantasy settlements and their management, parties and armies of strange creatures and all that you would expect from a decent fantasy story. [June 2013]
-
May 8, 2013Eador. Masters of the Broken World is Eador: Genesis with 3d graphics and a buggy multiplayer.
-
PC PowerPlayJun 23, 2013Deep, old-school strategy gaming with all the expected idiosyncrasies that go with it. [July 2013, p.92]
-
May 16, 2013Eador: Masters of the Broken World manages to venture into grand strategy, tactical battles and role-playing and come out on the other side as a deep and satisfying experience. After most initial bugs have been corrected, the game stands as an impressive addition to the turn-based strategy genre. Worth noting though is that it is mostly a visual upgrade of Eador: Genesis.

May 13, 2013A really good game and it would get the highest grade in its category, if it wasn't for some technical issues. What is more, this game isn't for everybody. It's difficult to begin, soon gets even more complicated and overwhelms with the amount of things to take care of. But all of this seemed great for me - I want a sequel that has a much bigger budget!
-
May 13, 2013An engaging and addictive game that presents you with lots of challenging dilemmas and strategic choices. There are some bugs, unfortunately, and the UI can feel clunky at times.
-
May 3, 2013It is complicated in one instance, and simple in the next. It seems generic at first, but then shows its uniqueness in setting and granular game mechanics. It’s a game by strategy enthusiasts, for strategy enthusiasts. Once you look past the awkward, pimply exterior, a game of surprising interest looks back.
-
Jun 7, 2013The presentation might not be spectacular, but you’ll get loads of upgradable units, buildings and an extensive dynamic campaign. Eador might not be as intuitive as Might & Magic Heroes, but it is just as difficult to get away from it.
-
May 6, 2013Masters of the World is a must for anyone who likes fantasy turn-based strategy games. Get it, but don’t play it just yet – wait a few weeks before the developers iron out the kinks. Judging by the speed at which they churn out new patches, you won’t have to wait too long.
-
Oct 8, 2013A good strategic RPG, with some pretty ideas, but it lacks a clear interface and some design choices undermine the final result.
-
Jun 24, 2013In all honesty, forgoing the campaign mode and jumping straight in a skirmish might be a better proposition.
-
May 8, 2013A strategy game perfectly suited for the experienced gamers who are not afraid of complex gaming mechanics along with their complicated combination, and for those who are also willing to work out its confusing interface, and to wait for several annoying bugs to be removed.
-
May 16, 2013Eador: Masters of the Broken World is laden with good ideas and myriad reasons for strategy nuts to go... well, nuts, but for every compliment I could pay it, there's a caveat. Strange design choices and a serious lack of polish mars the things it does so very well. For a while, I couldn't even play the damn thing it was so unstable. Crashes every few minutes, and a bug around every corner made it not worth my time.
-
Jun 27, 2013Eador: Masters of the Broken World has a lot going for it, but it buries a lot of its strong points under layers of monotony and frustration. It is a tough, but not impossible, game to recommend. If you are a hard core PC turn-based strategy junkie, your options or rather limited.
-
May 14, 2013Game-crushing bugs overshadow the turn-based tactical goodness Eador: Masters of the Broken World offers.
-
Apr 30, 2013Until the bugs are ironed out, it’s just not worth the headache.
