    Poor man's far cry.

It is now at countryside. Which eliminates the game's original idea because there is not much parkour to do. You got buggy...and that is the only vehicle you get. Car handling is not bad I'll give you that. You go everywhere with buggy and it becomes tedious because most missions require you to go other side of the map. No hang glider, parachute or wingusuit. Virals are even worse in this. They spawn everywhere everytime. You move one feet virals spawn, you repair your weapon virals spawn, you blink virals spawn, you exist virals spawn.

Below average dlc and it doesn't worth playing. You can have more fun with far cry.

I really liked the Dying light game. So I had to buy the expansion pack when it came out! I was hugely disappointed! What makes his experience bad, is what the developers added. Its the ability to drive a car in the game world. At first this is a lot of fun, but after 2 to 3 hours of gameplay, it becomes a chore. The buggy and new map is a bold attempt to deviate from Dying Light's original cramped level design and parkour gameplay. But the annoying, endless need to drive in The Following's flat open world and its repetitive, uneventful fetch quests while each quest marker are light years from each other killed the game for me.

The game started to feel like a chore, so I left it unopened for a few months before I uninstalled it, essentially *driving* me to watch the endings on YouTube. If you liked the core game, it's hard to guarantee the same for this one.

Expansion what extends above-average game, can´t be much better than original by definition. Although The Following improves the original a bit, it mostly sticks to a similar standard. For your money you get a lot, but none of this is unfortunately unique. And one of the few innovations – 4-wheeler buggy car – has no effect at all. If it wouldn’t be for the multiplayer, it would be an average expansion.

Dying Light came back to life with the spin-off and for a small penny it adds a lot of fun. Buggy races pleasantly enriched the gameplay and zombie-infested courses are hilarious. [Issue#262]

Everything you loved about Dying Light expanded and improved upon, with a new setting and new elements including buggies, bosses and general badassery. [Issue#249, p.50]
