Mar 14, 2013Dungeonland is ultimately pointless when it comes down to it. Yet it is the good kind of pointless, the kind that still produces entertainment with friends and fills a void. Dungeonland knows it does not amount to much, in fact it revels in it, wilfully mocking itself throughout.
-
Mar 12, 2013Dungeonland is nowhere close to perfect, but in multiplayer it’s a brilliant bastard of a game. Just add friends – or enemies.
-
Hyper MagazineMar 12, 2013Some excellent ideas and multiplayer fun but not enough content as yet. [Apr 2013, p.76]
-
Mar 5, 2013All in all, a fantastic effort from Critical Studio that reaches a climax when you've got three friends fighting against the toughest and most numerous hordes. If only it wasn’t for that damn AI.
-
Feb 16, 2013Dungeonland does not try to go beyond its limits, rather it shows that true multiplayer with friends it’s as enjoyable as ever. Glitches and poor quantity apart, in the end it manages to keep its dignity.
-
Feb 6, 2013Dungeonland is a pretty standard dungeon hack-and-slasher, but is still an original game. You can also play as an evil Dungeon Master and cause mayhem and death amongst the players. Forget the insanely unbalanced singleplayer mode, Dungeonland gets really fun when playing with others.
-
CD-ActionApr 5, 2013The game’s testers deserve having their butts kicked more than the creatures of Dungeonland. [CD-Action 04/2013, p.81]
-
Feb 12, 2013Despite its low price, Dungeonland s a repetitive hack 'n' slash, with a really poor gameplay and not so many customization options. The Dungeon Master Mode saves the whole game from a failure.
-
Feb 18, 2013Not a particularly tedious action game with hack 'n' slash principles will seize you with its randomly-generated locations, wit, challenge and unusual low price. Afterwards, however, the game will disappoint you with its mechanics and ton of bugs.
-
Feb 7, 2013Unfortunately, playing solo is not that fun. Without friends, you're supported in your party by bots, who are mindless and quite incompetent. It becomes even more challenging to get through levels, and without the aspect of teamwork, the whole experience is just dull and not very enjoyable.
-
Feb 5, 2013In theory this theme park could be the source of never-ending fun. But in the end it is rather never-ending grind. Nonetheless you can experience some entertaining half hours or so if you have friends on standby for your support.
