If you're looking for a new co-op players-versus-AI-horde game, Dungeon Defenders is arguably the best option available right now. Great graphics, lovely music, tense gameplay – all with enough content to keep you coming back again and again, and avenues for both official and player-made content.

The possibilities are endless, and that's why this game is a resounding success.

Dungeon Defenders is a co-op focused tower defense game where four heroes try to stop huge monster waves from destroying magic crystals by building all kinds of defensive structures such as walls and cannons. There are also some roleplaying and hack & slash elements so players can level up their heroes and fight enemies with swords and spells. The singleplayer side of the game is lacking but the multiplayer mode is always very fun and addicting. Technically the game is quite polished and doesn't have any fatal bugs which is always a good thing. [Dec 2011]

This kind of depth hurls Dungeon Defenders far past the typical tower defense game.

Dungeon Defenders is quite addictive, but after you spend enough time, this attribute dilutes its fun factor, turning what was initially a tactical advance and collaboration effort into a repetitive farm meant to improve your attributes, gear and obtain achievements and mana.

Offers more content than you are bound to find in most games and is one of the best value / fun for your money games to come out this year.

The PC version understandably has some varied controls when using a mouse and keyboard (though it plays just fine with intuitive use of the number keys).

Dungeon Defenders shows us a new side of the tower defense genre. This game is build around its great co-op multiplayer mode and thus, the singleplayer isn't as strong and can even be considered boring. Nevertheless Dungeon Defenders is a fantastic game that takes the tower defense to new heights.

I may have initially been disappointed by the focus on online play, but these fears quickly passed as I discovered what an enjoyable game Dungeon Defenders is. 13 maps with 15-20 hours of play is a considerable amount of initial content, but the extra challenges and loot-hunting are what will keep you coming back. Working out strategies and tower placement is a great fun, and finally succeeding in your strategy is immensely satisfying. Some of the online features are a little rough, but if you enjoy a good tower defence game, then you should not miss this one.

Despite a few questionable ideas, Dungeon Defenders is an entertaining, fresh, vivid (and I mean literally vivid) game. It lacks the ingenious simplicity of Orcs Must Die, but if you prefer to play with friends, then this is what you want.

This is a well done tower defense and action RPG mix in all respects that has once again managed to turn on the cooperative network madness. If you have someone, who would play with you, there is no need to think about what game title it should be.

Trendy Entertainment surely has raised the bar on tower defense games and have given RPGs a well-constructed challenge.

Co-op mode, RPG elements, items and level ups - this game almost has it all. Almost, because team work isn't really encouraged. But it's still fun for weeks for a low price.

I've had a tremendous amount of fun with Dungeon Defenders. Yes there are some glitches but the team has been working hard to iron out theses bugs on what seems like a bi-daily basis. It's great to see this much dedicated support to a game after launch. It's a charming little-big game that's full of challenging adventures that fans and newcomers to the genre will appreciate.

If you are tired of Tower Defense games, think again, Trendy Entertainment shows there is still a lot of potential in this concept, offering a great mix with ARPG concepts which shines the most in cooperative mode.

A fun little romp that you can really only enjoy with friends. It's unfortunate that you can't enjoy it on your own, but you're in for a rage fit if you try some of the later dungeons on your own. With plenty of things to unlock, a variety of game modes and upcoming DLC, you're likely to get a satisfying couple of hours from Dungeon Defenders.
