All in all, the original Duck Detective was a wholesome, entertaining, totally charming bit of brilliance, and this stand-alone sequel does it justice.

The Ghost of Glamping is brilliant through and through—fun without being superficial, lighthearted without feeling silly, and with a narrative thread and coherence that many other games can only dream of. Quack-tacularly entertaining.

Duck Detective: The Ghost of Glamping is just brilliant. It is for the most part a straight up evolution of the first game but that is certainly not a bad thing. It keeps the charming characters, the witty jokes and references, great music and voice acting but improves upon most criticisms we had. A better hint system and overall a smoother puzzle solving experience are just what this game needed.

Duck Detective: The Ghost of Glamping is a nice detective game that plays everything a little too safe. The idea of taking the hero out of the city is a good one and I like all the characters. Some very high stakes emerge later in the narrative that feel unearned, but I mostly like the light tone and the way characters interact with each other. The investigation process, with its focus on getting the words needed to fill in a sentence, is well-structured. But I wanted to see at least one new way of interacting with the environment to pick up clues. Duck Detective: The Ghost of Glamping will deliver new fun mysteries for those who played the first title in the series.

Long may the Duck Detective franchise continue. If this game is anything to go by, it has a bright, compelling future ahead.

Now that we have two instalments in the Duck Detective franchise, there is nothing stopping you from marathoning both and having the best ducking detective experience. This time around the setting and story caught my attention a lot more, with a great variety of characters and puzzles to solve. Don’t go in expecting a complete revision of its predecessor making the ultimate experience, it is pretty much the same game but with a new coat of paint, but for me that’s all I really needed. I’ll always come back for more with Duck Detectives shenanigans!

The Ghost of Glamping serves up a hard-boiled ghost story and plenty of cases that are a joy to quack open. If you like mysteries, no de-duck-tions are needed: you should try it out.

Pleasingly, Duck Detective: The Ghost of Glamping‘s ending again grants the player the power to decide the suspect’s ultimate fate. So, I look forward to hearing which choices everyone makes. Less expected was a post-credits scene, which I won’t spoil, but has me prepared for another entry in the series. With this latest game making much-appreciated improvements and with some elements still up for a little polish, I look forward to another seriously silly adventure.

This short, sweet detective game is exactly that—short and sweet. With the ability to allow hints or turn hints off, you can increase the difficulty if you're a super sleuth, or keep it easy if you're looking to veg out. The cast of characters is vibrant, and the jokes are plentiful. Follow Detective Eugene McQuackin and find some not-so-hidden clues to help quack the case.
