    Dreamfall Chapters is a new episodic instalment on the TLJ series, and a direct sequel to Dreamfall: The Longest Journey.
    The game is wonderfully written - great story, great characters, excellent dialogue and voice acting - and beautifully designed.     Great introduction to a very immersive and addicting adventure game. The art is beautiful and there are lots of details to find and reflect on to understand this world. It's trip to a different place but with many aspects shedding a light to our reality.
    It's also a great story, and the first 2 games in the series (The Longest Journey and Dreamfall) can be watched on youtube to start DFC    Great introduction to a very immersive and addicting adventure game. The art is beautiful and there are lots of details to find and reflect on to understand this world. It's trip to a different place but with many aspects shedding a light to our reality.
    It's also a great story, and the first 2 games in the series (The Longest Journey and Dreamfall) can be watched on youtube to start DFC up to date :)
    Only a few puzzles in book 1 but you have to attentive to progress in the game. More puzzles in book 2 (good ones as well, clever but not too hard)
    Books 3 to 5 not out yet at the time of this review, some time to ponder on what happened in the first 2 books :)    … Expand

    It's a great beginning to an epic story - but the story really begins in book 2. Luckily you will get the whole game when you purchase Chapters! The story is gripping, the graphics stunning, the voice acting stellar.

    - удобная и эффектная система диалогов. Доступные ответы парят прямо в воздухе, а при наведении на них курсором герой про себя проговорит, что он обо всем этом думает.
    - локации отлично прорисованы, детализированы и масштабны. Полигонов не пожалели, насыпали сколько надо в каждый угол. Также прекрасно всё, что связано со словом «освещение»: свечение северного сияния, вывесок в    Плюсы:

    Минусы:
    - проект жутко неоптимизирован. Приготовься к тому, что 50% экранного времени показатель fps будет предательски опускаться ниже 30. Иногда - конкретно ниже! Даже хитрый прием «уткни героя носом в низкополигональную стенку» не поможет.
    - волна тотального упрощения игр немножко накрыла и норвежских разрабов. Много говоришь, много ходишь и изредка решаешь логичные задачки, для которых достаточно IQ в 80. Да и вообще вся игра напоминает такую себе прелюдию, в которой создатели просто знакомят тебя с миром и героями.

    Red Thread Games явно форсировали выход своей игры. Можно накинуть балл с учетом того, что это был пилотный эпизод.    … Expand

    The opening chapter provides a strong foundation on which to build an engaging (and hopefully not too regressive) adventure game experience.

    Phenomenal atmosphere but dull gameplay and confusing plot. That is the first episode of Dreamfall Chapters. It is impossible to restart such a grand saga in just five hours.

    The first episode's flat narrative structure may not be entirely satisfying, but Dreamfall Chapters' diverse and endearing cast, nuggets of political and personal tensions, and glimmers of the poignancy that made the previous Longest Journey games so memorable make me hopeful for the futures of Stark, Arcadia, and the Dreamtime, wherever those places might take me.
