Drawn to Life: Two Realms marks the return of a minor but extremely interesting franchise.

Drawn to Life: Two Realms could have been a little more. The concept of making it into a puzzle platformer is interesting, but the challenges can go from a walk in the park to asking for advanced comprehension in an instant. Further, some small quality-of-life issues make progress feel slow and slightly cumbersome. Nonetheless, it can offer a good deal of fun for fans of the genre and people who have been dying to see the characters again.

Drawn to Life Two Realms is pretty enjoyable: the combination of platform, puzzle solving and the huge editor are able to fascinate young gamers.

Drawn to Life is a relaxing and creative game that makes the experience absolutely unique, despite its simple gameplay.

Drawn to Life: Two Realms loses some of the series' most characteristic traits while attempting to gain new ones. The result is a mixed bag, combining interesting levels and an overall pleasant narrative department with many technical flaws, unjustified difficulty spikes and a game that often seems to aim at the wrong target audience.

The title is then held up by minor issues that stop it from reaching its true potential. Hit detection can be unreliable, which can be frustrating given the time limit for each level and the shortage of invincibility frames for the player. Meanwhile, walking around the open world is extremely slow, with the player depending on temporary speed boost power ups to get to where they want to be in a decent time - another example of the game feeling like it's stalling the player.

An enjoyable overworld dragged down by tedious, imprecise platforming gameplay. It’s not devoid of merit, but Drawn To Life: Two Realms isn’t the jolt of electricity needed to shock the franchise back to life.

You can draw the hero of this tale… and that's about all there is to say about this. Fun and mildly addictive as that part is, it's not enough to hide the fact that Drawn to Life: Two Realms lacks the necessary depth expected from a puzzle-platformer. Besides the lack of polish here and there, as well as the unexciting level design, the bland story one has to endure adds to the general feeling of boredom. It's also sad that aside from the character creation window, painting doesn't really feel like a big part of the whole experience.

It is difficult to imagine, in 2020, a category of gamers that Drawn to Life: Two Realms can actually be tempted by.
