    I agree with the guy that said that you should buy pillars of eternity before you wish to try this DLC.Even though it's OK ,It feels like more of the same thing and doesn't add anything new to the table. If you want to buy it I would recommend that you'll wait a while until it is cheaper or part of a bigger deal...

    Save your money and buy Pillars of Eternity instead or wait for The Witcher 3. DAI and this DLC are both overhyped glitter with no substance. EA really have their teeth in BioWare and this is a frightening example.

    ill keep this short. This DLC should have been 8$ TOPS. This is not worth 15$. More of the same (a good thing) boring story line. But for me this score could easily be a 8 or 9 if the price was dropped.

    Now that I've played DAI three times, I have come to really appreciate the environment and the challenges, as well as learned how to save myself and my allies by crafting much better armor and weapons than you'll ever find in the regular game. So of course, I immediately downloaded Jaws of Hakkon. Yes, it could have had a bit more interesting topic. And yes, it's very similar to DAI. ButNow that I've played DAI three times, I have come to really appreciate the environment and the challenges, as well as learned how to save myself and my allies by crafting much better armor and weapons than you'll ever find in the regular game. So of course, I immediately downloaded Jaws of Hakkon. Yes, it could have had a bit more interesting topic. And yes, it's very similar to DAI. But it had enough different "things" (like a new Avvar culture, new animals for crafting, etc) to make it interesting enough. Definitely could have been longer. The DLCs for DA Origins and DA II had much more background story and were worthwhile add-ons. I can see why some folks may have expected more out of Jaws of Hakkon, but I believe it's worth it if you like the series.… Expand

    Jaws of Hakkon is essentially the addition of another hub to the main game. While a few new characters are introduced, the game couldn't make me care enough about them to warrant a huge emotional investment. By the end of the DLC, there isn't even a particularly satisfying conclusion. No final cutscene, no epic speech, just a greyed out quest line indicating that "yep, you've finished. NowJaws of Hakkon is essentially the addition of another hub to the main game. While a few new characters are introduced, the game couldn't make me care enough about them to warrant a huge emotional investment. By the end of the DLC, there isn't even a particularly satisfying conclusion. No final cutscene, no epic speech, just a greyed out quest line indicating that "yep, you've finished. Now move on." Compared to the other hubs in the main game, the Frostback Basins is probably one of the more aesthetically pleasing ones, but as a DLC, the Jaws of Hakkon is somewhat underwhelming. It can be summed up as just another hub with it's own inclusive but tangential storyline.

    The new map is obviously beautifully crafted and should be a feast for the eyes, but you can't enjoy it much as there's so little to do. The same groups of enemies spawning at alarming rates (sometimes I couldn't even defeat the previous pack when the new arrived) makes exploring a drag. The story is nothing to write home about, and since everything is essentially more of the same andThe new map is obviously beautifully crafted and should be a feast for the eyes, but you can't enjoy it much as there's so little to do.     An entire new map creates a fast and fun foray into the past of the inquisition while expanding on some other aspects of the world. The story and side quests are succinct while also providing the exploration and beauty that all of the maps in the base game have.     This is quite a large area. I needed about 8 hours for it. The nature and the lighting in this area are dreamy and beautiful.

    There are some big bosses and the plot is "ok", maybe a bit lackluster. The companions talk more to each other which is good.

    But all in all, the quests are better than in the main game but still a bit weak.

    After all I had some fun.

    For me it was the worst part of the DLC. Its nothing fresh and just gives you a new part of the world to explore with more of the same of the normal game. For me this was a little bit to less, but u can have fun with it.

    After having spent over 80 hours with Inquisition I was tired of it and Jaws of Hakkon did absolutely nothing to reignite the flame. [06/2015, p.57]

    It’s a good, fun, entertaining extra bit of Dragon Age Inquisition, and if that doesn’t excite you then, well, you don’t need it.

    Jaws of Hakkon is a well-made addition to Dragon Age: Inquisitions. It provides a beautiful new location to explore, more loot to acquire and enemies to vanquish. But in the end, that’s it. There aren’t any truly meaningful additions here, no new gameplay elements or characters interactions. It is literally more of the same.
