    Outstanding game, played it for hundreds of hours. Larian is just an outstanding developer in general. Loved the lore and setting of the Divinity series. Was a great sequel to DOS 1. Well done.

    One of the best rpg games I've played. It had an unforgettable impact on me. It left me satisfied and impressed, both in terms of its underlying deep story and gameplay. Larian does this job.

    Outstanding game, I'd give it a 9.5/10 if I could. I played through this game about 9 times, was so much fun, and the characters were all amazing. This is one of the best CRPGs of all time. The lore is very interesting too. This game also served as a stepping stone for possibly the best RPG of all time Bauldr's Gate 3. Larian is amazing.

    Normally, I don't watch movies twice because it's boring to see something I've already seen. For similar reasons, I'm reluctant to watch story games twice. However, I've experienced this game's vast amount of content twice

    It's definitely a much better game than Baldur's Gate 3. I wish the company had continued this series instead of coming out with a new name. Then everything would be as it should be, but BG3 is a big failure.

    If u wanna start playing classic rpg, u could try divinity original sin 2. Personally, I am not a big fan of such games, but even for me this game was interesting when I was playing. 8/10

    Divinity: Original Sin 2 é simplesmente um RPG de mesa só que no computador. Até o momento, não joguei nenhum outro jogo que me deu tanta liberdade em fazer build, progressão de história e diálogos diferentes que REALMENTE fazem a diferença no que vai acontecer.

    Sem problemas, vai explorar, matar, saquear, procurar criança perdida, vai fazer o que você quiser.

    "Mas eu não queria matar aquele boss, ele parece que tá certo."
    Relaxa, só tentar vencer o cara na base do diálogo que ta suave.

    "Achei um baú/porta e não tenho a chave para abrir :("
    Meu chapa, mete a porrada que abre.

    "Poxa, eu não sei que classe eu vou fazer..."
    Meu amigo, você pode fazer um mega frankstein de classes. Você pode:
    -fazer um anão, mago, ladino e que pode usar espada e vara de magia em cada mão.
    -fazer um morto vivo que é healer
    -fazer um caçador de essencialistas que é essencialista e odeia essencialistas
    -fazer uma cantora que seja tank e encanta todo mundo possuída pelo ritmo ragatanga
    -fazer um lagartão maneiro que passa a perna em todo mundo na conversa, inclusive que poderia vencer na porrada um troll que tem 10 vezes a força, tamanho e vida dele

    E isso tudo é só o começo.

    Claro que tudo isso, somado à câmera isométrica, não vai agradar a todos os tipos de jogadores. Eu não julgo quem gosta apenas de jogos que são mais "limitados", no sentido que você precisa seguir uma história linear, com apenas um personagem e que os diálogos escolhidos não importam para o desfecho das coisas. São públicos diferentes.

    Porém eu recomendo para quem quer começar no mundo dos RPGs de turno, pois é bem amigável (principalmente no modo história) e é bem divertido explorar Rivellon. Se você já joga/jogou RPG de mesa, não importa qual sistema, com certeza vai sentir nostalgia e vai se divertir horrores com esse jogo.

    Esse jogo me fez sentir muita saudade da época do ensino médio em que tinha meu grupo de amigos que jogavam 3D&T e D&D comigo, quando tudo era mais fácil e cor de rosa.    … Expand

    So many possibilities- even though Baldur's Gate 3 definitely improved on many things it didn't cover all the creativity you could use with all those barrels, acids etc this masterpiece had. Best game of all time

    One of the best RPG, I can spend hours in Fort Joy just to lay down the boxes to create an barriers, in order to prepare a tough fight ahead. The game mechanic is awesome with all the environmental affect.
    The music is top notch, one of the best soundtrack, perfect to use it as background music at work.

    I played this game in one sitting for about 130 hours, this is really an rpg and I haven't played such a game for a long time. bcz I played those crap rpg games from Bethesda...definitely good game and good rpg unlike Bethesda shallow crap

    Another thing I hated was how I went from one island to another. The only island that fully realized what was missing in the others was the first one. The rest lacked the will to survive through actions, attitudes, the complexity of feelings, and the way their lives changed. Yes, it was a prison, but that does not justify the important little details that were missing.

    I was disappointed in the final island and the final fight, especially as it also felt like something was missing. There was a lack of content, characters, and side stories. Lastly, the whole city atmosphere did not feel fresh, coming from the sea as a group of people who were literally torn apart. Not to mention, it was supposed to be the greatest, the centre of arts, culture, and all that's beautiful in life.

    I highly suspect that the lack of content was due to greedy ambition to make players buy the next games, such as Baldur's Gate 3. Some certain characters highly hinted at going to another place after the end.    … Expand

    A true masterclass and the benchmark for any upcoming CRPG. DOS2 is such a unique and creatively designed game. There isn't anything close to it in the market with the exception of Larians current early access project, BG3.

    Huge, awesome, engaging cRPG with incredible writing and amazing quest design. I love how this game allows you to approach problems, and how it pits playable characters against each other. Story pacing is pretty wild though, Act 2 is way too large a chunk of the game.

    Combat looks really fluid and is fun.

    The Physics based combat is amazing.

    This type of gameplay is just atrocious, clicking to move and braindead turn based combat, with a controller its a little more tolerable but you literally dont have commands to do some stuff, the story would have to be the best ever for for me to put up with this kind of bs game in 2023, it isnt even interesting.

    This is by far the best game I ever played. Everything is great about this game; the graphics, the story, the settings, the gameplay, the sound, etc.
    If you like turnbased RPG's then you cant go wrong with this game! I really look forward to future games by this studio.

    Divinity: Original Sin II is a masterpiece in every way. It has been a long time that I played a game so unbelievably beautiful, well made and fun as this one.

    In Divinity: Original Sin II, you are pulled in into a massive story, full of lore, past events and former rules. The story is huge and detailed, but if to sum it up, you play as a Sourcerer who has been captured by the Magisters, an order that wants to rid the world of source. Sourcerers command divine like powers that make them really powerful, something that the Divine Order wants to wipe out or contain where possible. You escape the ship in which you are transported to a prison island, called Fort Joy, because a Kraken attacks the ship and you fall into the water. A mysterious voice, calling you “Godwoken” apparently saves you. You wash up at Fort Joy, in which your journey begins.

    The world is being infested with Void Woken, monstrous creatures from another dimension. You learn of your Godwoken status and what it means and your destiny to become the next divine. You need to travel through different continents to reach Arx, where Lucian the Divine is buried. On your journey, you meet various characters, complete many different quests, increase your Source powers and defeat numerous foes. Lucian’s tomb is the key to reach divinity and restore balance to the world, all while stopping the Void Woken from consuming everything and everyone. When you finally reach it, a massive plot twist unfolds that is too good to spoil. This is something that one has to experience for themselves.

    Divinity: Original Sin II is the ultimate definition of an RPG. The combat is turn based, you earn XP and gold, can invest in many different skills that help you on your adventure and you can have a party of four characters. Combining different tactics and skills is essential and you are free to fill this in however you want. Each character is not bound to be a fighter or mage, and with the right skills and attributes, you can create whatever party you like.

    You can craft your own stuff, like potions, food items for healing, arrows and many others. Just collect enough garbage and stuff in the world around you and experiment with the items by combining them. Alternatively, you can find many recipe books that teaches you new crafting recipes. Although most of the times you are better off with just finding items instead of crafting them, combining shoes with nails for example, grants you immunity to slipping over ice, a crucial and very helpful feat.

    When you talk to NPC’s, everything is possible. You can convince them to give you something or to do something for you, they can hate you, love you or outright attack you. Nothing is scripted and whole side quests and later parts of the story can be dismissed or failed because you decided to plant a sword between Gareth’s eyes on Reapers Coast. That is the beauty of this game.

    The best thing about Divinity: Original Sin II is the way combat is played out. A higher level enemy does not necessarily need to be invincible. There is always a way or tactic to beat the situation. Use the terrain, use teleporting powers, telekinesis, healing and buffs to get the upper hand. There were so many battles that I won by being creative, and one time, one character stayed behind, resurrected my fallen teammates, teleported them to safety, geared up again and then rejoined the battle, winning it in the end. You can experiment endlessly with this game and that makes it so great.

    Divinity: Orignal Sin II is hard, really hard. The difficulty is legendary. It is kind of unforgiving to new players and requires some serious strategy and planning. If you made some all-round characters and just “go with the flow”, you are going to have a bad time later on in the game.

    The graphics and music are beautiful in this game. It looks stunning, alive and detailed, and combined with the excellent fight tracks and the calming ambient music, you really feel like living in a fantasy land, far away from the troubles of everyday life. It is just glorious.

    There are just so many things you can do, try, or experiment with in this game, the possibilities are almost endless. You never get bored and there is always something new to discover. The battles are amazing, the humor is spot on, the story is solid and I can do nothing else than praise it.

    Divinity: Original Sin II is just perfection in every way and there has yet to be a game that matches it.

Turn based combat is cool, but is let down by two things: overabundance of environmental effects, and the armor system.     I had some jolly good fun playing this game with my pals. Would recommend if it goes on sale and the battle system is quite enjoyable. There is a lot you can do in this game and anyone can play how they like since it’s a very flexible game.

    There is nothing about this game that I could say that hasn't already been said. This may be the best CRPG ever made and it may be the best modern RPG in general. This game is a masterpiece. It is so detailed, the story is awesome, the gameplay amazing, the combat endlessly fun and strategic. I just can't express how perfect this game is. Oh and it is HARD and I love it.     I mean its just kind of boring. This is not how you do turn based combat. Every turn should feel like your making some important decision and you have to strategise whether to heal or reload or run away. It just feels like real time combat but instead they decided to make it turn-based add to that you have so many characters you have to tell what to do it just gets tedious.     An exciting journey!

    After 100 hours spent with the game over the course of 7 months, I am sad that this is over as I was sad when I finished The witcher 3. This game oozes passion from witty writing to mechanics.     Захватывающая история. Играть в эту игру впервые крайне интересно, слушаешь и читаешь абсолютно все диалоги. У каждого персонажа своя история, каждый ощущается как человек, а не просто бот. По ходу игры будут встречаться много второстепенных персонажей и все они проработаны не хуже основных, за что разработчикам отдельный респект. В игре очень много всего, и чтобы всё изучить понадобиться явно больше ста часов. Очень много необычных заданий, которые можно просто пропустить, но если ты пропускаешь задания в игре с подобным жанром, то лучше тебе сменить игру. Миссии выполнены на высочайшем уровне, как основные так и второстепенные, видно, что разработчики постарались и наняли хороших сценаристов. Взаимодействие с миром, неотъемлемая часть игры, и здесь всё выполнено на высочайшем уровне. Можно разговаривать с животными, духами, можно решать вопросы как разговорами, так и вступив в бой с оппонентом. Да и в целом, как проработан открытый мир мне понравилось, нету таких локаций где нужно просто пробежать, и там никогда ничего не случится, не в этой игре не так. Я бы не назвал мир огромным, но он не маленький, и на его изучение уйдёт очень много времени.
    Атмосфера просто выше всех похвал, то как сделан мир, а эта музыка просто нечто.
    Графика неплохая, в совокупности с оптимизацией всё отлично, игра выглядит красиво, современно и не режет глаз, игра не лагает, с этим всё отлично!
    Так же в игре есть минусы, самый главный минус, по моему мнению, это то, что без воровства практически невозможно получить топовый лут.
    В итоге, если ты ценитель жанра, то нужно обязательно сыграть, это просто ВЕРШИНА, лучше пока что нету, скоро выходит Baldur’s Gate III от этого же разработчика, и я надеюсь, что будет как минимум не хуже! С учётом всех плюсов и минусов, я считаю что это твёрдая 10, шедевр!    … Expand

    The game is somehow fun played with friends, me and the homies spent a lot of time playing together.
    The only problem I have is how slow it is sometime, like I could go smoke a cigarette and after I came back 10 minutes later my friends were still playing and my turn didn't come up yet.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Playing DoS2, on any difficulty really, is kind of like playing a game with a spoiled child, who constantly makes tiny adjustments to the game and rules to fit their game and hinder yours, in the most infantile ways possible (very annoying).

    The game offers plenty of options and variety, simple level up system, plenty of spells and skills, items and ways to power all of those up, mix them up or craft with them. Regardless, you can`t help but feel you`re often pulling at the short end of the rope (especially at the hardest difficulty). Played with 4, 2 and also 1 character, but I ended up finding the combat to be rather restrictive and repetitive as you cannot really try things without having to reload the combat, since one wrong move often changes the tide of the battle. At some point, playing with 4 characters becomes rather boring and with 2 characters (lone wolfs) become extremely repetitive and down right nearly impossible at times (I mean, have you visited Devourer at level 18, for example?).

    + On the bright side, game offers a very rich, deep and interesting story with twists and decent plotting, with many ways to go through it (chatter, sneak, deception, etc.), with plethora of, often, interesting side quests for more complete experience. Myriad of spells and skills helps you navigate through the world even outside the combat, during sneaking or exploring or simply manipulating the world around you.

    - On the downside, the game massively looses with the removal of narrated PCs. The dialogues are unnecessarily long, often boring and many times not needed at all. With literally everything, that has voice, narrated apart from your characters, a lot of the game`s mood and feeling of actual interaction is lost if not killed completely. That`s very bad, as this was not an issue in DoS1.. This makes interacting with NPCs, the most boring and annoying part of the game. You spent hours, upon hours of listening to pointless monologues and pages and pages and pages of flavor text and of course, you yourself will be reading pages and pages text. For me, this is a total mood killer, I remember that I started to dread interacting with NPCs after Driftwood, in my fist gameplay and kept hating these interactions throughout all other gameplays, too.

    Overall, slightly better than DoS1 in some ways, slightly worst in other - 7.5/10    … Expand

    There are some negative aspects as well of course (depending on who you ask).     But in the grand scheme of things there is not much to complain about. I loved this game and it's one of my favorite games of all time. Great successor to Divinity Original Sin which was also a great game!

    I should also add the Soundtrack is great. It's unique in style, while still fitting. One of my favorite RPG-soundtracks in a long time. I would prefer you didn't get combat-music tho. Combat music always annoyed me.

    긴 호흡은 언제나 장단이 있다. 숨이 가파져 그만둘수도 있지만 잘 따라가기만하면 그 끝에는 가슴벅찬 순간이 따라올수 있음을 증명한 작품. 쉽지 않았을텐데 코옵으로 만들어주는 제작사가 개인적으로 참 고맙다, 안그러면 나도 이 명작을 엔딩까지 달리지 못했을듯.

The dialogues and narration are once again flawless, with writing and voice acting (at least in english) that are a real pleasure to listen to. The story is maybe the weakest point, which is not to say it's anywhere near bad - it's just not as emotionally engaging (at least for me personally) as some other games, such as The Witcher 3. One major pain in the ass was the inability to select and move several items in the inventory at once, which meant I spent more time shuffling about in the inventory in this game that the entire playtime in some not-too-short games... But overall, technical issues were very scarce for a game of this scope, and (apart from the inventory) did not distract me from the awesomeness of the world and the gameplay.     Simply one of the best games I've ever played in my life. Interesting story, wonderful immersion, battle system with multiple possibilities and with various RPG elements: character upgrade through combat skills, civilian, feats,    RPG games have always been my favorite.     A tip for beginners: the first few hours in the game seemed very difficult, but with time everything will make sense and will get easier. It's worth insisting!

It can be challenging as well, forcing you to strategize your movements and balance out the skills of your party.     If you want to know the definition of a masterpiece you should try this one. I wasn't into this genre until I played this game. As a non-English speaker understanding conversation can be quite cumbersome though.

    As a backer of this game, it truly warms my heart to see so many people giving this game a 10/10. My custom undead lizard character also fell in love with the tortured, twisted, psycho chick Sebille. I must have necrophilia and exophilia as well! Sick!

    I also love how my pet died in a fierce battle from enemy AoE attacks, but his spirit still follows me around like the true loyal friend he is. Only a masterpiece work of art can think of something like this.

    The story is really dark! All of the Gods are manipulative and evil! The major factions are all evil and by the end, even my character turned evil! By the end of the game, I was betraying everyone left and right! A game that brings out our most hidden and sickest desires, with this much lizard and undead erotica, deserves a 11/10!

    Send the devs your love with a purchase even during a Steam or GOG sale. You won't regret it!    … Expand

    Well, what is there to say? It's one of the best RPG:s of all time. That's simply a fact and i've been playing them since my childhood 25 years ago.

It's one of the best RPG:s of all time. That's simply a fact and i've been playing them since my childhood 25 years ago.

    * Combat is extremely fun but also extremely hard (to me) at times, which is fun to me because it makes it much more rewarding when you succeed, like a good old RPG.
    * The music is unique and topnotch. The composer has his own style entirely, doesn't remind me of anything but still the music is very fitting always.
    * You can have many different combat-builds which opens up a lot of freedom, however I prefer a class system myself.
    * The game is huge. It just continues and continues.
    * The Graphics and enviromental/character design is awsome
    * Voiceacting is amazing
    * Satisfying ending
    * Few bugs
    * Great choices that matter
    * Humor

    *Annoying puzzles sometimes that add nothing to the gameplay except for annoyance. Some might probably like them, I was not one of them.
    * One "act" is a lot worse than the others.
    * Area over effects can be a bit overwhelming at times
    * The questbook in the original version was confusing (Fixed in definitive edition)
    * I like hard fights, but sometimes they are borderline broken and rely 100% on RNG.

    Overall though, just like Divinity Original Sin, Divinity: Original Sin II is an amazing game and one of the best RPG:s ever made.    … Expand

    If Divinity: Original Sin 2 had only been an enormous single-player RPG, it would still be far better than most of what you could compare it to. The fact that it has such well-implemented co-op and a user-friendly game master mode gives it a tremendous amount of value at a time where such a thing can feel like a rarity. Even if you never touch all of its various components, you'll still be left with a role-playing game that exemplifies the best aspects of its genre.

    For those looking to get into cRPGs, and even for those just searching for a great RPG, Divinity: Original Sin II is heartily recommended. It has all the virtues that fans of the subgenre have extolled and wraps them up in a way that is much friendlier to newcomers than every other title I've tried. Combine that with fantastic writing, a highly engaging combat system, and great design, and you have another standout RPG in a year packed full of them.
