[Anonymous]Jul 5, 2007While it doesn't contribute much to storyline, the gameplay more than makes up for it.

Jul 10, 2012One of the greatest 2D RPGs ever released! Still love playing it. Only costs 5$ on Steam, worth every penny twice!
Both music and the graphic style are stunning, the story is really good and it just makes me feel nostalgic. -

Jun 23, 2014Game was pretty great. Just not my kind of game, though. Evidently. Don't take this review too seriously, though. Many others like it in a way that I just can't appreciate.

Aug 26, 2017This is one of the best rpg for all time. Do not compare this game with Diablo, She has her own unique charm. Quite an interesting oldschool gameplay. This is my first rpg game

GrimRealityNov 30, 2002The best non-3D game that I have ever played.

Jun 23, 20195 years ago I played it for 30 hours. Coming back to my save I find there are a lot of more accessible games out there, even ones almost as ancient like Sacred for instance. Doesn't make the cut anymore.

Jan 4, 2018Hands down the best ARPG i've ever played. A truly amazing and immersive world makes Divine Divinity more in league with all-time crpg classics like Ultima than its ARPG brethren.
Total customization in every department and a design ethos typical from the eastern european scene, a solid ten out of ten. -

May 1, 2021Should have been a great game, a mix between Diablo and your favorite RPG. However the game has *lots* of bugs. After trying to find workarounds (mostly involving the inventory, or opening the map, or entering somewhere) for the Nth time, I gave up playing. The game won't stop crashing. I was level 29. It is not possible to finish it properly.

Jun 8, 2023A very detailed role-playing game with many game situations and in-depth mechanics. Everything would be fine if it wasn't so monotonous gameplay, for that matter. 7/10

Jul 17, 2025As is very common in video games, what the press hailed as one of "The Best Games of the Year!!1" was forgotten a few months after its release. No, Divine Divinity is far from one of the best the ARPG genre has to offer. The good news? If you can stomach its flaws, you’ll receive a 70+ hour, immersive and occasionally funny experience. An old-school classic, though? Nope.

Above all, it's plain fun to play, to develop your character and find ever-better weapons and armor, to face the foe around the next corner.

There is definitely too much of a good thing hereby the time I was ready to put this game behind me and move on to something else, I still had to spend another full day playing just to reach the "real" end.
