Sep 13, 2013The game it's just an average platformer in a disney universe. Graphics and sound are ok except Mickey's voice which sounds more creepy than usual. The levels are designed well but it lacks of challenge. The biggest flaw on the pc version is the bad port. It stuck with 30 fps even with a powrefull gaming PC, making the game to feel incomplete.

Feb 28, 2014No keyboard rebinding option?
Yeah, right.
Learn to respect your customers. It is unacceptable to release a game on PC that doesn't allow the player to redefine the keyboard controls and unskippable cutscenes. -

Jan 2, 2015It has very cute graphics, ideal for children 7-10 years. It has a great soundtrack and a lot of curious details. It's enjoyable and it can give you a few hours of easy and fast amusement.
As most of the games converted to Windows it needs a XIB game controller or compatible. This is the main negative point of this game.
It isn't a classic like Mario or Sonic, but who cares? -
Aug 25, 2022A good platform that has some teeth to it. Looks nice even if the narration is a bit too much for me. I really enjoyed certain part of this game is not too difficult but it does some point where it has some challenge. it have some fun boss fights. Not a bad way to use an evening. It's about 2 to 3 hours.

Jul 5, 2020A very short, but sweet platformer with tight controls, nice enough visuals and great music. If you can find this game for cheap, its well worth picking up for a few hours of your time.

Mar 7, 2014It's charming and well-polished, but players craving challenge might be disappointed. On the other hand, people wanting to relax with something that doesn't require a huge investment of time or effort should consider joining Mickey on his newest mousecapade.

Pelit (Finland)Oct 5, 2013Castle of Illusion feat Mickey Mouse HD. The new adaptation of Castle of Illusion is an extremely beautiful platformer, and nice to play, too, but Sega clearly tries to take advantage of Capcom's neo-DuckTales. Mickey Mouse isn't as memorable a main character as Scrooge McDuck, and this game is ultimately just reaching for the fruits of the neo-retro craze. [Oct 2013]

Sep 25, 2013SEGA succeeds in reviving one of the great classic platformers: Castle of Illusion features smooth controls, affectionate graphics and intriguing boss designs. Mickey’s new adventures are way too short, though, and lack ambitious level composition. The original was a challenge and a hard nut to crack, the reworks is a mere casual game.
