The game has significantly more graphic settings by several orders of magnitude. Here we have the opportunity to play for two heroes - for Corvo and for a very adult Emily. Everything happens on the 15th anniversary of the death of the Empress. In the midst of it, Emily's sister allegedly shows up and declares that her father promised her the throne a long time ago (a convenient excuse, isn't it?) - and this statement gives an impetus to the upheaval of events and an instant change of power. Here everything falls into place - you can immediately see who betrayed the Crown for the sake of their interests and benefits. Gloomy corners and leaden sky from the very beginning of the game tell us: "There will be no mercy for traitors!"

The game mechanics have essentially remained the same, only not all food restores health (but only fresh), more houses can be explored, more doors can be opened, there are many dismembered and bloody combos, the ability to create bone amulets yourself. All the information found is neatly sorted by topic - as before, you have to read and study a lot. Physics is more advanced - bodies fly away from shots as expected, when repelling enemies, glass crumbles or boards break, depending on the hit. One more thing - Corvo comments on everything - found bodies, documents, paintings and any other objects - maybe it's just an age crisis?).

The seemingly small location turns into a huge part of the whole city - while you search and look into every house, you can already forget where you were going to go. The very case when the second part is not only no worse than the first, but also much better than its predecessor. "Arcana" and "Gazebo" did their best. You will want to come back to this futuristic action movie again!

This game is great, it's worth your money, believe me. Well, let's figure it out. What I'll start with is a new stealth mechanic, a new combat system. A variety of ways. In general, if we compare part 2 and part 1, then part 2 will be better and more diverse according to the combat system and various ways and actions. Well, about the locations, they are bigger and better here. The design leaves impressions even to this day. Locations along various paths are good. And so I'll say it's a great game. Expand

A very worthy successor to the great Dishonored game. They vastly improved the visuals and some of the songs, particularly the street ones stand out. They vastly improved the visuals and some of the songs, particularly the street ones stand out. The best thing about it, however, is the level design. This game so far has the best level design and the creativity is amazing, trully nothing compares. I haven't yet completed the story fully but there are so far 2 levels which are just outstanding, those are the time-shifting and the automaton manors, I don't want to spoil it but you too will probably be blown away. The story is also quite decent, I wasn't bored at any point in the game. The new powers are also intriguing, they're to be honest a small downgrade power-level-wise compared to what you had in Dishonored 1 but they're fun and can still be powerful.

Now onto some of the negatives. Audio bugs are my biggest issue, sometimes the sound just stops playing or you're listening to a conversation, turn away for a second then turn back to the conversation and you can't hear it. Also the game becomes progressively woke as the story continues? One of the side character's dad is gay, after having had him in what is effectively 19th century England. Do these people realise how biology works? Also we have the ESG character which is Billie Lurk, they removed one of her arms and eyes compared to Dishonored 1. They also made her a part-time lesbian. They really wanted to get all those oppression/victim points with that black female character to get up their ESG score. Just drivel and indicative of modern-day diversity box-checking which drags the game down. Thankfully the woke elements are mostly towards the end of the game and the level design elevates the game so much that you don't think about them too much.

A great sequel that repeats the best of the original. And this interface... it's an orgasm for my eyes.

Dishonored 2 is bigger and better than its forbearer, with greater variety of level design and even more flexible gameplay. It is a shame the central narrative isn’t more engaging and that the sequel is haunted by technical deficiencies.

Dishonored 2 exists to make you feel good. It gives you a lot of freedom in accomplishing your goals and keeps your adrenaline level constantly elevated. It’s a shame that it failed to shake off the original game’s drawbacks and is not as stylish. [01/2017, p.38]

Weak story notwithstanding, Arkane Studios has again delivered a truly excellent stealth action game. [Issue#258, p.53]
