    Absolute masterpiece of PC RPG game. Best CRPG I have played in years. The hand drawn graphics are beautiful. But the best thing about this game is it let's you roleplay any way you want without punishing you. Wanna be a drunken, drug addicted cop who has completely given up on life, you can do that.     If talk about graphics are not so good also the response time is hard to understand sometimes and talk about audio in the background is pretty much good , difficulty inceasing at different types of levels like if the roleplay you want to change take more time versus refilling the bullets in gun.

    GAMEPLAY
    The gameplay remains exactly what you know and love but the graphics and move sets have been updated for current consoles. This game has some similarities to Hades, they are comparable but they are still very different. This game is deeper, there's a parry button, stamina bar, and all of it worked so well and it's addicting as hell.
    The biggest grudge I have with this game is the bosses and weapons variety. There isn't really much weapons that really differentiate from 1 another but it is still really good to play. The bosses are pretty easy in Tier 1 but on Tier 2 it really starts to get hard. Some punishments you get (corruption) isn't exactly all bad and some just does wonders for the player but I think that was intentional. But that's pretty much the only thing I would call a negative this game has.

    This game is untouchable. Similar to GTA V or Minecraft, this game has so much to offer to so many it is one of the most unique yet incredible experiences ever. However, this game is perfect for only a view audience. If you enjoy reading rich stories and deeply connecting to characters then this is the game for you! If you like virtually anything except story-driven RPGs, you may want toThis game is untouchable.     You know, never mind, there are games that are a 10/10 and this is about as close as it gets. My main issue is that they made it too interesting and fun to play which led to me **** my sleep schedule over and receiving a severe migraine after finishing it for like 2 days straight.

    ALSO, a part that legitimately pissed me off, there's a part towards the end of the game (and maybe some    You know, never mind, there are games that are a 10/10 and this is about as close as it gets.     ALSO, a part that legitimately pissed me off, there's a part towards the end of the game (and maybe some other parts) that gives you a check that you are unable to pass no matter what, I started an entirely new playthrough around that final check only for me to find out the unfortunate truth.     Might be hard to get into for some people but the clever writing and unique atmosphere makes it easily one of the best and most clever video games ever created. Be careful playing, it contains some really heavy themes.

    I don't often give anything at 10/10, but Disco Elysium is a masterpiece. Raw Existential Dread. The fictional world creates an often hilarious backdrop to comment on real world political ideologies, truly unique and interesting comments on classic takes.     i loved disco elysium from the first moment i started the game until the end. don't listen to boring people who say its not good or the game is weird and hard etc. its one of the best RPG games i have played recently.

The protagonist is just perfect for the role he's given, his humor and oddities are some of the things that make him so memorable.     The writing, the story, the world building and the voice acting in this game are just sublime - it sets a completely new standard for video games, in my opinion. The inner dialogue and subconsciousness constantly chattering away and giving you good or bad advice based on your stats are a thing of beauty. Very original, and a joy to explore. All the characters in the game are interesting

    This game was like living in a novel collaboratively written by Dostoevsky and George Orwell, if they were both alive in the late 70's and doing a whole bunch of coke with Soul Train blaring in the background.

    Not a lot of things are like that.

    Personally, my favorite video game (and that I haven't played a few). Its world is complex, with interesting characters and a good plot. Quite interesting and memorable, worth a try even if you don't like RPGs or games with more text than dialogue. There are parts where the text is overwhelming, yes, but it's still a game that holds a big place in my heart.

    The dialogue is smart and well-written, rewarding those that engage with it fully and take the time to listen. Personally, I would have preferred a portion of the games main story beats to take a slightly different path, and found some dialogue sections feeling a bit convoluted, however this does not take away from the overall experience of the game.

    I must admit that seeing the end credits of a game has become somewhat of a rare occurrence these days, with many games feeling bloated and uninspired, however Disco Elysium kept my attention throughout, all the way to the end.    … Expand

    This game is the best game I have ever played. I didn't realise video games could be like this. It was godly.
    If you like story/character/heavy questions about the shape of society and the world at large then you should try it.

    One of the greatest games I've ever played. The developers really put a lot of foresight into making everything feel interconnected and make the impact of your actions and your thought cabinet feel important. The game has both moments of genuine hilarity but also deep sadness.

    Игра для очень узкого круга потребителей. Иван Лоев может сколько угодно мастурбировать на данное детище, но как по мне это трудно назвать игрой. Больше похоже на скучное графоманское чтиво. Я понимаю тех кому она понравилась, но в ИГРАХ все же хочется иметь возможность ИГРАТЬ, здесь же геймплей можно сказать нулевой, с таким же успехом могли сделать из нее визуальную новеллу.Игра для очень узкого круга потребителей.     Before all, the story is very cliche when you look from a superficial perspective but the way of narrating the story is unprecedented. As you dig into the mechanics and the story, it gets deeper and more abstract, unlike the other stories or games. The psychological aspect is very well written.     This was was such a wonderfull surprise to me, its a bit text heavy, but overall it is an amazing story, a true role play game. memorable chracters, insane good dialogues, great music, something that touches your soul. This is what i have been missing in the video game industry. Loved this game!

    Well, English is my second language and since this is more a book then a game sometimes I had hard time focusing. Almost no gameplay mechanics it's just text, even if something exciting happens it happens in form of text. Now at least it's voiced, but still. I don't know where the hype come from.

    *Game that went smoothly before on PC now got bugged until it became unplayable - sometimes even texture would not load properly
    DO NOT BUY FINAL CUT - just get a copy of pre-bugged original DE and enjoy original game, that one was 10/10    … Expand

When the writing is good it is really good, but at other times it reeks of the game designers smelling their own farts and thinking they have created some kind of masterpiece because of their murderous political ideology. The political ideologies in the game are stupid. Thinking private companies should follow the law is considered "Fascist", it borders on Communist propaganda. Nazi ideology in real life is actually no different then Communist ideology, one just makes things about race while the other makes it about a Marxist definition of class. Where they always portray the Communists as the good guys even though they are clearly the bad guys. They even force you at times to work with the Commies even though you don't want to. They also force you to change clothes mid conversation just to pass checks. Even though some checks in the game are impossible. They also punish you for playing a nazi, by taking your health or morale away from you, which again reeks of the game developers smelling their own farts and trying to force you into certain decisions. If you are just going to punish players then why have the option of playing nazi. If you can get over the Commie propaganda and just play the game for what it is. It isn't bad. But it isn't game of the year material. It is a okay story visual novel game.… Expand

Oyundaki tüm ideolojiler ve yapılanmalar kötüye kullanılıyor, yozlaşmış ve bunlarla dalga geçiliyor. Siz de iş çözme niyetinde olan birisi olarak bazen istemeye istemeye bunlarla işbirliği yapıyorsunuz.

    Oyunda aldığınız kararlar, eylemleriniz, bulduğunuz şeyler, birisiyle belli bir diyaloğu gerçekleştirmiş olmanız falan sonraki olayları epey derinden etkiliyor. Diyaloglar da bu bakımdan çok çeşitleniyor. Oyun text olarak sizin eylemlerinize karşılık veriyor.

    Beğenmediğim bazı şeyler var. İlki perk sistemi. Saatlerce beklediğiniz bir geliştirmenin istatistiklerinizi olumsuz etkilediğini ve bunu silmek için beceri puanı harcamak gerektiğini görmek can sıkıcı.

    İkincisi zaman geçmiyor. Diyaloğa girmediğiniz sürece zamanı ilerletmenin bir yolu yok. Sırf bu nedenle kayıp silahımı almak için buluşmaya gidemedim.

    Bazen aynı yerleri tekrar tekrar yürümek sıkabiliyor. Bir de nesnelerle etkileşime geçmek problemli, karakterin belli bir noktaya gelip orada durması gerekiyor.

    Neticede bazılarının dediği gibi tarihin en iyi rpg'si mi emin değilim. Dedektiflik oyunları pek hoşuma gitmediği için o kadar sevmemiş olabilirim ama yine de iyi oyun.    … Expand

All of it's plot elements end up naturally weaving together to produce a beautiful tale. It's funny, it's tragic, it's politically smart, it's a living superstar. Play this before you die

At the end of the day its a point and click adventure game as other reviewers have pointed out. The soundtrack is outstanding. Main issue with the game is that you'll find yourself saving and reloading on various rolls that you need to do to pass certain checks.     Gameplay é basicamente point and click, porém essa simplicidade é preenchida pela enorme variedade que habilidades trazem nos diálogos e nas investigações. As possibilidades são tantas que é legal guardar alguns saves para testar diferentes possibilidades. E dessa forma o fator replay é fortíssimo nesse game.

    A trilha sonora melancólica combina com o estado emocional do protagonista e da cidade em si.
    O gráfico é bacana, os personagens não são tão detalhados, mas o estilo artístico em geral é bem bonito.
    O fast travel é travado em certos locais. Poderia ser mais livre, evitaria de ficar andando atoa as vezes.

    Very unique gameplay elements and a mysterious atmosphere. However, there's way too much dialog and you will spend most of the time reading through dialog. The ending was a major disappointment.

    This game was absolutly mindblowing. So avant garde and experimental yet so polished and thought out! The main mystery is intriguing, the characters are charming, and the visuals of the game are no less then stunning.

    So far, the best game I have ever played, if you measure emotions while playing the game, it will appeal to those who care about the plot and the history of the world, and then the gameplay. -1 point because I think that the movement in the world, and the skill system could be done better.

    Диско Элизиум игрой то назвать сложно. Скорее интерактивная скучная нудная подробная книга с иллюстрациями и музыкой на фоне. От вас немного тут зависит - на старте игры выбираете куда вкинуть очки из 4 веток, что дальше будет по большей части всё решать. Остаётся лишь откинуться и ролить косточки, читать тучу текста, о местах, которых не знаешь, о мире, который сильно проработали, но его даже не существует в реальности.
    Парень с DTF, написавший положительный обзор на игру, наиграл в первый раз в запой 6 часов. И я тоже, однако счастлив не остался, просто мне показалось, что каждая фраза в игре важна и что нельзя её пропускать, но на деле - 80 процентов фраз - чёртова графомания, от которой зевать не перестаёшь. И игра просто сосёт из тебя время, как "хорошая книга". Настолько реалистичное погружение испортило веселье.
    Похвалить можно лишь необычные иллюстрации, речь не о стилистике "картина маслом", это как раз уродливо, а о необычных похожих на психологические портреты и сюрреалистичные картины иллюстрации отражающие черты характера героя. Второй плюс, ролевая составляющие в виде выбора фраз в своём стиле и одежда изменяющая статы. Жаль, первое сделано неидеально и я не имел выбора в одном из случаев в игре, где герой вместо меня сказал, что девушка катается на карусели х$ёв
    В общем игра была многообещающей в начале, я просто не знал, что на самом деле это была книга.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Disco Elysium has its ups and downs. However, I would like to mention that I have had the pleasure of curving towards its upsides. This title is incredible for players who fancy a bit of reading during their gameplay, as well as a tint of mystery, and, surprisingly, human relationships. If one is that type of person, then I would genuinely recommend them to try this game out, and if it turns out not to be their cup of tea, I would understand it, truly. In my humble opinion, the game's main plot makes a lot of sense, and is mostly captivating, if not for the quite rash, and seemingly lacking ending it ends up with. It might be just my impression, but oh well. The dialogues feel really solid. Every single character in the world of Disco Elysium feels different. Everyone has their own motives, as well as some biases. It only adds on to the experience. So, overall, I would recommend this game, if only to try it out just for an hour or two. I did, and I fell in love with it. 8/10… Expand

    Definitely not for everyone. I played a few hours and found it mind-numbingly boring, beyond a few funny gags. And one of my favorite games of all time is Pathologic, so I don't mind lots of reading. All the characters and dialog here just seem either boring or annoying. Just not seeing the appeal.

    Disco Elysium is a masterpiece in video game writing and worldbuilding. The characters are unforgettable, the RPG elements refreshingly original, and the score strikes a deeply melancholic but hopeful tone that perfectly reflects the bleak city of Revachol. There is truly nothing like this game out there and I'd strongly recommend it for anyone who loves narrative-driven titles.

    It's not a real RPG either. Yes, you have stats and inventory and dice rolls, but that's it. Also, these are just game mechanics, there's a skill tree and inventory like in a lot of games, but they don't make a game an RPG game, and there's no real choice, because the whole difference is tied to dialog options, which you'll click on anyway, further destroying the role-playing part, and for a lot of things, choosing to do something will actually be a dice roll, and the mechanics of retrying the roll are overly complicated and too overwhelming to take the time.

    No matter what you do, you'll be dragged towards a single ending, which makes sense since it's a murder mystery, but as a player you have no choice, the only real choice is at the character creation screen, and from that point on it's pretty much set how you're going to play the next 30-40 hours of the game, which is filled with dialog just to drag it out.

    Yes, you can click on options in dialog windows, but the game will decide for you whether that happens or not, and it will mostly depend on your character's stats and some modifiers. Yes, again, it's an RPG mechanic, but as a player, you don't really get to choose anything or do anything.

    An example of a game where your choices really matter would be Detroit Become Human. Or even Witcher 3. Disco Elysium is nowhere near that level, Detroit is already not an RPG game, Witcher 3 is not a pure RPG, but supposedly Disco Elysium was marketed as open world and a pure RPG, but it's not even half as successful as those games.

    In short, Disco Elysium is not a game to be played even if it's free. I never understood what they liked about this game. It is one of the most overrated games of recent years.    … Expand

And the promise of the excellent personality system is not utilized whatsoever.

    The story, the world, the writing are pretty good for video games. For video games. It hardly reaches levels of classical literature. And it often strikes a tone that repulses me. I like the focus on politics, and its handles with subtlety, though again underutilized to say anything particularly meaningful.

    Overall, I can see for a medium like video games that people think this is something exceptional. But I found it a slog.    … Expand

    As I mentioned, the design is lovely. The Painted style complements the message and the mood just perfectly. The artists where able to combine disgust and beauty into one large painting with a wide variety of colors. And thanks to the quite simple graphics the game performs pretty well.
    The Story is outstanding but blends in with the equally exceptional side quests resulting in a even better environmental story telling than Elden Ring. With all the little detail in the world and in the dialogues ZA/UM just made an overloaded game, which doesn't feel overloadet at all. It feels like the game would try to male you think about everything in life and it kinda does. which feels great if you're open to it. But I understand that not everyone is. Especially when you game because you want to escape the real worlds problems.
    The gameplay might also be a downer for some. It's sloooowwww paced and based on RNG. I heard some players complain about not hitting their 3% chance... . If you are one of those you should not buy this game. But I really enjoyed this classic RPG style gameplay.
    But at the end of the day I think you should try it yourself. Buy it on sale at steam. If it doesn't catch you in the first two hours you can still return it.

    Considering this is the first game made by ZA/UM following studios and publishers should be ashamed: Ubsioft, Activision, EA, Dice, Treyarch, Infinity Ward, NuClearVision, CDProject Red and basically everyone else because Disco Elysium: The Final Cut is considered the best PC-Game of all time and still is the first game ever made by ZA/UM.    … Expand

    Mediocre gameplay and gamedesign. As a game it can be sometimes boring and irritating.
    Despite huge number of dialogue options, quests and game itself lack of endings and variability.

    its all you could ever hope for in a game in this genre. Unique, beautiful, gorgeous music and storytelling you will not find in modern games anymore. So much love went into this game.

Damn, the first time I stepped outside, I didn't know what the hell I'm supposed to do. But little by little, everything came together and the game began to get fun. You can choose different dialogue options, or put different amount of numbers on each 4 main attributes or you can do a 180 and completely change personalities.     Es una aventura gráfica point&click de toda la vida, pero con MUCHO texto. Yo diría que demasiado, en serio. Que no tiene por qué ser algo malo, pero en un videojuego espero una interactividad más constante, para leer tanto texto en una pantalla mejor un libro.

    Disco Elysium – The Final Cut is something rare. It’s a re-issued version of an already-beloved game, that manages to eclipse the source material through clever and thoughtful additions that maximise one of the game’s most beautiful assets: its prose. But more than that, it’s the only CRPG that can truly claim to emulate the tabletop experience—not through adherence to statistics or rules or character sheets, but through the simple act of asking questions, and thoughtfully incorporating the answers.
